I just accidentally found this channel (kakanood ka na yata to ng engineering videos) and surprisingly, this channel has videos talking about the canon f-789sga which is the calculator I've been looking up to. Little did I also know that while nanonood ako sa channel na to mas nag eenjoy ako kasi enthusiastic yung vibe ng speaker when it comes to talking to the audiences.

sir i have an issue with my calculator, when shift solving for trig functions such as cos(x)=0 it gives me of x values very large but are divisible by 90, though its not much of a problem on this example its very annoying when it comes to larger functions such as cos(x)+6cos(2x)=0, any idea how to fix this, I always set my trial value to zero

Hello po! This vid is so helpful. To save time also, in this specific problem, we can input a value (positive since this is velocity) greater than the value that can make the equation undefined (the denominator should be zero. In this case, you can try inputting 9 and you can get 16 as the answer :)

siguro x > 8 para positive and nonzero yung denominator, 0 or negative kasi ang denominator ng isa kung x ≤ 8...

Kung susugal ka, better na sumugal sa lamang ka kaysa sa talo ka. Mas lamang na mag aral ng advance na calculator kaysa assume natin na lower models ang gagamirin pagdating ng araw.

Case lang. Transparent ang latest. But both are allowed
sir bat yung sa canon f789sga ko, kapag nag shishift solve po ng may two roots (the roots are 0.085608 and 0.02875 ), then ininput ko po sa x is 1, ang lumalabas pa din po is yung 0.02875. Lumalabas lang po yung 0.085608 kapag ininput ko po na value sa x is like 0.09 or 0.08. Kung baga need po na sobrang close dun sa larger value. May mali po ba sa program ng calcu ko sir?

Sir. Pa help Po Sana sa next video Yung " initial guess Po dito sa shift solve.. when we are using shift solve to solve x. May ibat iba Po Kasi nilalagay na initial guess and Hindi ko Po na gets😅❤️❤️
Any initial guess will do. But if your equatio. Is a quadratic equation, yoyr calculator will give the root that is nearer to your guess/trial value.
But if roots are bet zero and 1, the value that your calculator may not be the nearer to your trial or guess value.

No need to clear the values. Whatever is u input is just a trial value anyway.

Hi po. When I try to input po your example sa part na alpha equals, nag aautomatic na po syang nag 1/2 kahit hindi na apo qko nag input ng 0.5..

yung Caltech book po ba nyo na for sale is for the CANON 789SGA? Salamat.
When i wrote it, wLa pa ang canon. Bit casiofx991es is very much tje same in principle as as canon. Isang imple asjistment lang ang kailangan mo para just the APP key of canon instead of the shift 1,2,3,4,or 5 ng casio. But the rest will just be the same.
Also, my book is not a manual on how to use casio or canon but on how to use calculator in general in order to solve specific problems.
But the version that is fully and purely using canon is on the way

Both you and your classmate are half correct because you each got one of two roots.
The equation is a quadratic eqn.
(230-250)/(-50e6)=(X-0.002)^2
Take the sqrt of both sides:
X-0.002= +/- 6.32455532e-4
X1=+6.325455532e-4 +0.002
X1= 2.632e-3
X2= - 6.325455532e-4 +0.002
X2= 1.3675e-3
if your equation is quadratic (i. e 2nd degree) . It has two(2) roots. If you use shift solve, your calculator will give you onky one of those two(2) roots

If for the sake of SHIFT SOLVE, dont clear because all other values like A, B, C, D, E, F, M will be cleared. Those values may be needed at the moment.

cos(68) = cos(42)cos(83) + sin(42)sin(83)cos(X)
Correct answer is X = 64.68
Canon F-789sga kami lahat pero isa lang yung nakakakuha ng tamang sagot.
Isa lang yung nakakuha ng tamang sagot samin tru shift solve. Pero nakukuha naman namin tamang sagot kapag hindi kami mag shift solve
Every trig eqn has infinite set of answers. Ur calcu will display an answer dependent on ur input initial value.
Ex.
Cos 60=
Cos (60+360)=
...
Cos (60+n*360)
Etc

Wow! The Josephus problem. Pls watch the movie, "MASADA". A true to life story by a Hebrew named Elias! From where the problem was taken by the great Hebrew Historian, Josephus.
There is a proposed solution there which is a Binary code.
Convert the number to binary and move the first digit of the binary number, which of course is "1" to the last digit. Which means, the last digit of the resukting binary number is "1".
Convert it to decimal number. The result is the last Soldier.
However, this code hasnt been proven yet to be true for all number of aoldiers or participants. Thanks for the question. Perhaps, Ill look at it again sometime.

Hindi po siguro mali. This equation has 3 roots, namely :
0.438
-0.438+2.68i
And
-infinity
But your calculator will show only 0.438 if you will use shift Calc.
May I see a picture of your calculator screen when you solved it and shows answer other than 0.438?
