wow all my child hood heroes!! are goin fast..most of you were to young to remeber but grizzly adams was a family show you watched with family as this and little house on the prarie taught us family values and how important a loving family was but most importantly to show that wild animals are capable of love too. 1974 was when it started for me..i was 6yrs old at the time and we watched this every time it came on. such good memories back then.....now 46yrs later with a family of my own i can only hope for the DVD collection thru amazon.... to teach my kids what this show an my mom taught us!. an i miss u mom everyday.
Loved the episode where the Bear (Gentle Ben ) slept on Grizzly Adams bed and Grizzly slept on the floor. He finally threw the Bear out when he could not stand sleeping on the hard floor. The Bear took off for the woods.
Dan Haggerty deserved a longer segment than abc news provided. He had impacted and inspired millions of people in the 70s with his films, tv series and his big heart. Although he struggled in later years, those that knew him felt that the Grizzly Adams character and Dan were one and the same. Dan valued nature, family, connection, love and life. Love & thanks to Dan Haggerty for all he had created and left for others to be inspired by in the days and years since his passing and long into the future…
