Tombstone sounds like an awesome place to visit. I really like attractions that take you back in time to try to experience the past. The Birdcage Theater does sound like a great place with a really fascinating history. Thanks for sharing this tour!
Thanks so much for watching! There were several attractions and museums I would've visited if I had arrived earlier in the day! There is so much to see!
I live on the edge of London, UK, we are surrounded by history all over going back many centuries. But….there is just something about the history of the wild west that is so interesting. I will be over to see it soon. Thank you for your video.
Good to see you included the Boothill Cemetary. I've been to Tombstone 5 times so far since I'm stationed nearby. The cemetary is where you'll see the resting places of those depicted in the movie Tombstone. I have seen every live show and toured everything. It's all worth the money for the shows considering it's live entertainment. Bring extra if you'd like to tip the actors. The shows are fun and educational. The Bird Cage cost me $20 if I remember correctly, but I didn't want to go home and regret not seeing it over $20. Lots of history in there like you stated. The "stagecoach" is I believe the actual one that carried them after the OK Corral shootout. Most of the shops are tourist shops with memento's and such. The actors and a lot of employees there are very educated on the town's history so if you have questions feel free to ask them. They'll be more than happy to help. It might be helpful for people to stay near Sierra Vista if they like fast food, restaurants, etc. It's about a 25 minute drive to Tombstone from there. I love it there and I'm sure I have a few more trips in me before I leave Arizona. Oh, and that bathroom is the worst. Where the park is by the OK Corral, there's another one. It's more modern and a little nicer set up.
Thanks so much for your comment! We didn’t give Tombstone enough time. The birdcage was incredible and I was very impressed with the original stagecoach!
Thank you for next great trip. Early TV westerns sought to teach the good values of honesty and integrity, of hard work, of racial tolerance, of determination to succeed, and of justice for all. At the show's end, moral lessons had been taught and learned.🌅
Awesome video, will be going to Tombstone 4/14/23 through 4/16/23 with a historical society. Just wanted to see what to expect. Your video was perfect and helpful. Thank you for sharing. Take care. 🇺🇲
The bathrooms on the other end weren't much better either last time we were there. 😂 Too bad your visit wasn't a few weeks later. The rose tree should be blooming soon. Our plant is blooming now and I think Tombstone's bloomed last year about a week or two after ours. Definitely worth seeing (and smelling!).
I remember that! I’ll bet it’s so gorgeous! I’m bummed we missed it! I had big plans on this trip and I really didn’t have as much time as I thought I would.
Thank you, that was really helpful. I'm hoping to visit Tombstone in the coming years. It will be a bit of a journey from Yorkshire in England, but worth it I hope.
The only buildings that remain from the time of the gunfight at the OK Corral are The Oriental Saloon building (now a boutique), The Birdcage Theatre, Nellie Cashman’s Restaurant and the Cochise County Courthouse.
@@clairewilson3278just to explain John or pillar John is a reappearing character in pizza tower that knocking him down start the timer to return to the starting point but in the stage called wasteyard which the ost in it call tombstone Arizona he appear as a ghost and making contact with him will cause you to be teleporting to the start of the room taking time from your timer and wasting and a possible combo meter breaker.
Actually the movie was filmed in the Mescal studios. It is also a great place to visit. It’s about 30 or so miles west of Tombstone, just off the 10 freeway.
@@SwiftyTravels I was asked to be a Cowboy, but was a year and a half into an apprenticeship so instead I supplied the stuff for the funeral scene and advised them. That coffin should have been lost in the Old Tucson fire, luckily, or unluckily, someone stole it and it ended up in the museum.

Do you need to change this channel's name to Rowdy Travels after this vid? Sparky's...that place looks SO cool. OK Corral has been used in SO many references to Oklahoma Sooners & Oklahoma State Cowboys games. Yeah, those grave markers are a BIT embellished. I wonder what boots cost there. I'd think higher end compared to regular price because you're in Tombstone. To think it's not just legend, not just movies, but reality that all this violence happened in the streets of Tombstone. Now picturing Yosemite Sam ordering pizza, shrimp & Buffalo burgers. The corral...that business must make a killing with all the gunfight history there. (OK that's a really bad dad joke. Two drink minimum. Try the veal.) 26 people killed there? YEOW.
oh my! Best comments ever!!! So glad to hear from. you! Thanks for checking it out! I really enjoyed diving into some of the history while visiting. I hope you and your family are well!!
