    I did this method and it worked, I didn't use grape seed oil though coz I didn't have any, I used castor oil (it made my hair kinda stiff and was a tiny bit more difficult to wash out) but my hair grew a little under half an inch, thanks Maryam for the video

      She showed how she distributed it through the length of her hair because her head was over a sink. Maybe that's why we couldn't see her applying it to her scalp as much? The treatment also nourishes all of the hair which is why we distribute it through ALL the hair.

      Yep, I think the hair is just super moisturized and more stretchy, that’s it. And then I’ll go back to normal during the day or when it dries out, and needs moisture again.

    Putting coconut oil into a microwave kills all of the oil's benefits. Any kind of natural oil should never be microwaved if it's going to be used on our hair! Just put it into a bowl of warm water instead.

    Basically it's the inversion method and the greenhouse effect or bagging your whole head overnight. With you standing upside down to wash and massage oils from the grapeseed and egg for couple minutes, it was inverted to circulate blood flow. Then with overnight treatment, it stretched the hair a bit. I always test on wet hair before and after. The water stretches your hair to it's real length so when you did the after, your hair was slightly damped and moisturized so it looked like it grew overnight.

    This definitely worked. Of course, i was really skeptical and didn't think it would work for me. My hair grew about 3/4 of an inch in the front and an inch in the back.
    I had washed, conditioned and oiled my scalp and hair 4 days prior, so my hair was still a little oily (3c/4a, low porosity, thin strands), it still worked.
    I will be doing this once a month (don't think this would be good to do more than that, especially if one's hair is protein sensitive), but I will clarify with my clay mask or a clarifying shampoo first, then do this treatment.
    Thanks for doing this vlog and sharing.

    The egg helps weigh down and stretch the hair. Egg doesn't actually penetrate, it just sits on top. Rinse it with water, then add coconut oil. The coconut oil penetrates the hair and holds whatever was left behind on the hair, like the leftover egg and grapeseed oil. The coconut oil overnight helps stretch the hair since it's weighed down with water and lipids so when you rinse it out later, it looks like it grew, but it just stretched your hair, it didn't stimulate blood flow and growth overnight.

    I really appreciate all the tips that you share with us. I feel bad about the negative comments and that you were flat out called a liar. I've seen a few comments saying hair is at its true length when wet, OK maybe the hair should be measured wet before and after applying the treatment but that still doesn't make you a liar. Please don't let negative comments ever discourage you. I really learn a lot from you. I'm currently using the aloe Vera leaf method that you showed us along with the Indian oils and the inversion method. I'm hoping to see fast hair growth : ) but again Thank you for helping me in my hair journey and your obviously doing an excellent job in yours

  • @TeAmoCristoJesus

    I did it and though it probably didn't work, probably because I didn't do a good length check before, but! Two days later I have noticed that my fresh hair color I did the day before doing the treatment is growing out😱 THANK YOU!!! My question now is, how long until I can do it again please?? Cause, I need to do this again girl. Last time I flat ironed my hair, I was about 4 inches from it ti touch my navel finally!! And after 4 months with no heat, I will probably need to cut about 2 inches off as usual. I really hope you know the answer or anyone that reads this comment. Thank you, blessings❤️

    @TheRealElise 8 ปีที่แล้ว +17

    I would love to see a 4b/4c girl do it. Egg/protein has never been kind to my hair and I rarely shampoo so I'm not going to do it.

    • @XenaCallisto
      @XenaCallisto 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yeah, kinky hair (especially 4b/c) needs hydrolyzed wheat proteins as opposed to household items such as eggs and mayo. While those edibles are full of protein, the molecules of the substance do not have a low enough molecular weight to properly penetrate the hair shaft while hydrolyzed wheat protein DOES. Using the latter will leave the hair strengthened, unlike eggs/mayo which will leave a hard, drying, crunchy feeling to natural hair. I hope this helps you, sister.

    If there is a method that doesn't consist of only proteins that would be nice to see. My hair is extremely healthy (I'm guessing genetics, healthy eating and exercise is the reason) and I can't use protein based products without my hair becoming dry and brittle. Coconut oil, olive oil nd avocado oil also does the same thing to my hair.

    • @latoya9972
      @latoya9972 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm, you have me thinking now. I want to try this but have low porosity hair so I wonder if the protein would be too much for me as opposed to someone with high porosity hair who can take and need the protein. I have pretty heathy hair as well or at least that's what I'm told but it just feels so dry and brittle towards the end of my hair. Of course I'm sure I need a trim because my hair is to mu waist so it's all dead at that point anyway. Lol!

      +The Curly Fit Chic I'm not very hair talented but I have been thinking about your comment and I wonder if it is the coconut oil that I am putting on my hair (mostly ends) that is making it dry, tangled and brittle. I mean it's pretty bad lately and I have been using CO to try and combat it. Shoot, it may be causing it. Geez. I didn't know the various oils could do that. Maybe I'll deep condition and won't use CO for the month of Sept and see if my ends go back to normal. Thanks for the tip!

      @lovejasmine9649 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +LaToya Parnell if your hair is protein sensitive which means it have a lot of protein already and bc coconut oil suppose to help with protein loss it can cause protein overload in the hair and make it dry. so that may be it.

    Soooooooooooo I tried this last weekend. And I have tried almost everything in the book. I recently added the inversion method before trying this, but I know that's something I can only do one week a month. After doing this experiment, I gotta say IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!Now I do have a few concerns. One, after washing out the first mixture, there was egg in my hair. I shampooed my hair 3 times to get it out. I used coconut oil because that's what in the video. My hair hates coconut oil, so for future will be switching that out with almond. But my question is, after rinse out that first mixture, do you shampoo and condition your hair as you normally would or no? I did this after the rinse out the coconut oil (my hair hates it remember). But I'm thinking it's something I should do after rinsing out the egg/oil mixture.Second, how often can this be done? My plan was to do it every two weeks. I was doing aphogee's protein treatment once a month, but I'm thinking this will be a nice sub for that, just every two weeks.Thanks in advanceAny responses would be greatly appreciated.

    • @FaithChinyimba
      @FaithChinyimba 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ThePrincina do it once a month. if you do it too often your hair will get used to it and stop growing. thats the same reason why the inversion method is done only once a month

    I tried this last night... I am so happy. This totally works. Not only that, I had a troublesome spot in my hair where it's really thin at the crown and broken hair in the back of my head... the spot filled in and the broken hair grew out as well. That damn spot hadn't grown in months and even had an almost bald area in the middle of that. I used olive oil instead of grapeseed and it worked just fine. Along with that, my hair was so moisturized and manageable.

    I wonder if that's why my hair grew as fast as it did in the 3yrs I've been natural.
    the night before every wash day I used to put a mask of oils and honey, oils and mayo, or oils and conditioner (I say oils because I'd use a mix of whatever oils I had on hand) and sleep in it overnight.
    I never thought to measure if there was any growth until I seen the other gal's video. next wash day I'm gonna have to check and see.

    OMG!!! I did this today! I kinda cheated/ peeked after I wash the egg yolk mixture out and it had grown from that ONE HOUR!!! I did the coconut anyway thinking that it would give me extra length but it didn't and I only kept it in for 3.5 hours before rinsing. I got an inch!

      Clarisa Patterson Why are you telling me all of this?

    • @라카-t8y
      @라카-t8y 8 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      +Clarisa Patterson Did you know that certain foods you consume can actually keep your hair in anagen phase longer?
      For example green tea is known for reversing the catagen phase and keeping the hair in an anagen state for longer.
      Garlic and onions also has properties that does this. If you eat garlic and onions on a regular basis, you will notice your hair will begin to shed less. It seems even to keep the telogen (resting) phase longer, before entering the exogen (shedding) phase.
      So do I believe these people grew an inch over night? Yes! I do!
      I had a friend whose hair would grow 3 inches in a month, well over the standard 1/2inch. She had incredibly long hair and regularly had to get it cut if she wanted to keep her style.
      Everyone is different, but people are similar too. I believe part of her hair growth was hereditary, but a big part of it was what she consumed. I believe she eat a lot of food that kept her hair in the anagen phase. And what she consumed didn't cause any type of inflammation in her gut. Many times people wonder why their hair can't grow very fast, and it's because what they consume daily, is actually causing stress on their body, and they might have sensitives to it. So, instead of the body using it's energy to cause hair growth. It's using it's energy to protect itself of toxins and chemicals.
      So before calling people ignorant, please do your own research, or test it out yourself.
      "I can understand the ignorance of some of these youtubers.." Did you mean can, or can't in this sentence?

    The one and only quick hair growth technique that worked for me is inversion method. 1 inch in a week, but after I tried that again it didn't work as well anymore. I'm going to try this and update if it works

    • @robinwalker826
      @robinwalker826 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      probably because had gotten used to the treatment. you're really not suppose to do inverse method often because then your hair adapts to it. same for hair products. if someone thinks I'm wrong then correct me I just learned that from researching a butch of videos
