The Redbird simulator are a great training aid, I would like to see the 6 screen change to say 3 screen curve display setup or some sort of a projecting display. I had the opportunity to test out the simulator but found the bars between the screen very distracting.
I recently got my '6 approaches' for IFR currency at Redbird in their C182R sim. For practicing instrument training this sim was ideal. The sim had a pretty noticeable wing heavy trim, making hand flying it that little bit more fun. The motion system added to the experience. Their C182R sim lands nothing like any Cessna I've ever flown. There is some force feedback in the stick, but it's pretty minimal, nothing like a real Cessna. The sim + CFI was way cheaper than flying a real 182.
I did know Rebird is used in many FTO's . My flight school even has a 172 RedBird and Ive been in it. I just didnt know you could log hours in them. To be honest FSX with enough add-ons is just like the real thing. Thousands of both General & Commercial pilots still use it. I have A2A's Piper Cub on FSX and everything is modeled to 100% realism. I wouldn't look down on people with only FSX experience, TBH Some of the guys on the Avsim forums actually know about flying than some pilots I know.
You should go again, its just as good as it always was every year. Meet fascinating characters every time I go. Such as this guy called Morris Kirk who flew around the world in a J-3. He got stranded in the Pacific and was rescued. I'll send you a link to his TH-cam chanel. He's British and he's now not allowed into the states anymore as he tried to land his J-3 on G.Bush's ranch years ago. He's on TH-cam ill PM you his channel.
Lol well seeing as over 17,000 pilots got their seaplane rating from Jack Browns , I'm not going to say that was a coincidence . Were you at Sun n' Fun as well ?
Plus you do know theres no rule against having fun while flying. I think its you who needs to take a ground school lesson in decent aviation etiquette.
Im talking about domestic and home built flight simulators not motion simulators used for proficiency checks and MCC's by airlines and FTO's. People use simulators for fun & training . I use my simulator daily for entertainment and to learn. But please before you start labeling people as " FSX Players" take into account that they could be actual aviation professionals and might actually know what they are talking about.
I do agree with you. But TH-cam is not the place to be arguing with teenagers who use default FSX aircraft. Avsim or PPrune has a more reliable source of both aviation enthusiasts and aviation professionals. I just like posting FSX videos on TH-cam because It's fun and rewarding. I'm lucky if I get to fly once every few weeks. With the fuel prices rising ,In 10 years everyone will have to rely on simulators I'm telling you ! And I bloody hope Microsoft create a new decent simulator by then !

That would be cool. But imagine having your own 737 Home Cockpit and you could log hours . Now that would be worth it !
Plus you do know theres no rule against having fun while flying. I think its you who needs to take a ground school lesson in decent aviation etiquette.
Same happened with me!
Thanks but I already have over 600 hours logged in my own PA-18. Thanks for advice though.

I spent $7,000 and got close but still no license, young CFI hungry to fly heavy iron, wasted my time and money
You cant log time on this either. Flying is flying. I'd rather give my simulator an FAA license as oposed to this one.
You can build better home made simulators for a fraction of the cost RedBird sell theirs for.
And probably more realistic. LOL.
Looks an awfullot like fsx...
