Thanks for sharing your experience and comments on the Neewer vertical grip, and I totally agree with your review. I am not a professional photographer and I can’t justify to purchase the OEM grip for my R6. The three reasons I decided to keep it: price, secured grip on a few big lenses, and longer battery life. It’s only for occasional uses.
The multi-controller on my Neewer & Greene Extreme (Adorama) BG-R10 grip does not function properly. I'm not able to fully control/move the focus point as normally done on the camera controller. It partially operates on half of the screen area but have yet to hear of any others with this issue.
good video but your reasons are insufficient. for the £200 pounds price difference idc about these differences. my r6m2 is weather sealed by numerous lenses I use arent so it doesn't matter if the batterygrip is sealed or not and bottoms don't matter as much and when I got my newer grip just now its not sticky and has a good feel to it.
@@SAM102588 Yeah. I had it for a month now for my r6mk2. It works fine. The double battery last longer and the remote works fine too. Few differences, 1. The batteries are being used one by one instead of at the same time which i personally prefer because then i have to charge 1 battery instead of 2 after some use. 2. Theres no canon logo and buttons feel like ps4 controller which is not bad at all. Does the job. 3. The grip texture sticker is a bit different to canon r6m2 but if you used your canon for a couple months then they both feel the same. Tbh I'm happy with my purchase and for the price difference I don't care about a logo and button difference. I just needed bigger battery capacity and bigger grip so my 2 fingers dont dangle when holding the camera.
I have one and have never had any problems down loading new firmware on my r6.I have had any problems with my old 80d either. For such a small amount to own one. you are very picky. I think user error.plus wonting the same quality for two thirds less in price. very poor video

third party grip woes... they can work, but are finicky and generally are not as dialed as a factory option.

@merlinmahbod thanks for very detailed advice 👍. It's toooo professional.
Have been using the Neewer grip on my R6 for 2 weeks. No issues. Love the 2.4GHz remote that came with the grip!!!
why even try this? You get what you pay for
Just spend the extra money and stop whinning about nothing. You get what you pay for. How does it affect your images?
Exactly what I did!
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR LMAO
