Never apologize for pausing a lot! We come here to hear your thoughts and feedback on the songs you listen to and pausing helps us listen and understand what you are saying. Have a wonderful day❤️
New Cydonia! So happy you enjoyed it so much. Vox only started exploring singing in the past couple months and he did so well on the song. The emotion in his vocals brought me to tears when I first heard it. The pain of losing his clan and going through life without them, then him finding the Kindred and them bringing back the joy his life was missing. He did such an amazing job portraying those emotions and you picked up on that. Great reaction once again.
Considering you covered the luxiem’s group songs and the member’s individual songs, hats off to you for identifying all the uniqueness of their voices. Vox has such a smooth bassy voice that never really leaves you. I’d love to see you react to luxiem clips just to see how their voices match the songs they sang. Vox is genuinely insane with his voice so him singing is a step since he basically sings like a dad in karaoke. He is definitely improving in his singing and his fans love him for that.
Last tidbit on Vox! Vox has worked as a train announcer and previous voice works in the past. Some roleplay work in events as well (something like a character in a museum irl if I remember correctly). So he definitely knows voice control.
Thank you for watching and for the info! It's really cool to think Vox was a train announcer! I'll definitely be checking out more from all the luxiem boys!
I really love your analysis around 10:08 because of how it resonates with Vox's lore, honestly it got me a bit emotional knowing how the choices made in production reflects so much about the person involved. As you said, when Vox switched to more mid/high tones it sounds more happy and hopeful compared to when he was singing more somberly with the bass tones. The animation also conveys this, as the mid/high tone shifted along with Vox now leaving his home in the outfit we all recognize him with. A rough summary of Vox Akuma's lore: He's a 400+ year old demon from feudal Japan who has his own small kingdom of 522 residents under Akuma Castle. The kingdom was under attack/went into war when neighbouring lords tries to take him down from power. Vox fought to protect his people but ultimately lost and was presumed dead (went into a long slumber). So the somber low tone in the first half of the song, along with the animation of his burning castle were all representative of his past, and the mid/high tone in his present day outfit represents his new found family with the Kindreds (fan name). Also, the Kindred designs that you see in the MV are all personas designed and submitted by his fans. The fact that you mentioned "the bass is no longer following the vocals, the bass is kinda going off on its own rhythm here" could represent that the loss, sorrow, and loneliness of the past is no longer haunting Vox, and he has moved forward and found new hope in the present. I find it all beautifully conveyed in the animation and music direction here, and I probably wouldn't be able to notice and appreciate this song cover as much if you haven't pointed it out in your analysis, so thank you and great work!
Thank you for watching and for the insight into Vox's lore! It's awesome how Vox tied his past into the song's mix and visuals, and it's really sweet that fan designs were included as well! That's an excellent interpretation of why the bass is separating from the vocal melody! Thank you for sharing Vox's lore and your own insights as well, it makes me extremely happy that I could add to your experience with this song!
Damn, the analysis was really good, quite accurate to what Vox was going for! You won't believe this, but when Vox started he told us Kindred, the fans to not expect a cover as he wasn't very confident with his singing. So when he suddenly and randomly dropped this in November, we were not expecting it at all... The only videos where we could hear Vox singing are all unarchived karaokes unfortunately, but those karaokes gave him more confidence so if we didn't have those, we probably wouldn't have New Cydonia... But yeah, in the afterparty, Vox mentioned how the change in instrumentation from more traditional instruments to those more cheerful uplifting synths and trumpets were because there are two versions of the original song so he mixed both of them together in his cover. Another thing is that New Cydonia is a very personal song to Vox, which is why he chose to cover this song. I always believe that when someone has an emotional attachment to a song, they sing more beautifully and earnestly. Enna actually mentioned that she wanted to do her best on the backup vocals after seeing how passionate Vox was singing during production. This song is truly a work of love and passion, which is why I love it so much ❤ Anyways, enough of my ramblings. So glad you enjoyed the song! Also, don't feel bad for pausing, I enjoy listening to your commentary ^^
Ooh thanks for the info, I'm happy to hear that he's grown more confident, he's got amazing ability and his passion for the song definitely allowed him to show that off! Thank you for the kind words as well, I'm happy to hear you enjoyed my commentary!
(Sorry for my English) Your analysis is wonderful and stopping the video is understandable, we're here to listen to you, not a cover so never apologize for this :D I really love Vox so i'm glad you did this reaction. From my suggestions: Ike & Enna singing Why or Why not. You like Enna and Ike and this is one of my favorite covers, I think you liked it ❤
Thank you for the kind words and support, and your English is excellent! I'll make sure to check out the Why or Why not cover too, thank you for the suggestion! :)
I was wondering if u had New cydonia in ur list! Thank u for reaction! Vox's cover actually combines both original and remix versions New Cydonia by Starcadian as the original is more somber emotionally and remix happier which fit to story Vox is telling with the mv. He is new to singing and he talked how Aruvn who did the vocal mix of the cover sat with him and guided him until they got the vocals right. Vox has lot of potential in his voice and i really like his tone, hopefully he keeps doing songs :)
maybe a bit late on the comment but he was told to sing with high voice and his deep voice, so the voice you hear is his own, enna's part was only when you actualy hear her, doing background singing. He released the raw vocals where he shows a bit of his high voice and "normal" voice. Love your reaction to it
Vox is amazing here, I think it's really suits him. Might I interest you to react to Regis Altare's cover of Heartache from Holotempus. Great reaction vid as always.
Super good reaction! I love how you analyze the songs you react to. If I may give a suggestion, you may like hololive vtuber Polka's original song ペルソナ (Persona). I know you've been listening to more Nijisanji, but I think Polka is worth a listen. :)
I personally much prefer when you pause, you get to rant about exactly what you like in whatever song you're listening to while being able to listen to everything properly I've seen some reactions where they talk just as my favorite parts play and the song ends up feeling so rudely unappreciated so if anything, I'm glad you pause!

Thank you for watching! Vox indeed did amazing capturing the emotional journey of the story he was presenting! I'm very excited to see more from him!
To the people who says stop pausing:
I'm pretty sure you got attracted bc of his analysis. You stop it.
Another amazing reaction 👍
Thank you for always supporting me, I really appreciate it!

@@ScribbleTheTalkingSketch apparently some of his fans found his voice in one of the train lines in the UK.
It’s funny to think honestly

Love your reaction to it
I performed this song at a lip sync contest and got second place
