I remember that Television LP in the dollar bins in 79/80. Only band I ever saw live get booed off stage after attempting to open for Peter Gabriel. That was not cool. Always loved that Faces lp, might need an upgrade !
I keep with my pristine original pressing of Adventure. Great album certainly on a par with Marquee Moon. After that I would rank the first Verlaine solo album. The 90s Televison album and Verlaine stuff don't do much for me.
Mazzy, I'm perhaps in the minority here but I think Adventure is better than Marquee Moon. Days I first heard at CBGBs. One of the first times I was ever in CBGBs. A few nights later I saw John Cale. Steve Forbert opened for him. It was just months after Steve moved up from Laurel, Mississippi. Great times!
As a Music Vinyl Lover with a Budget? That will be a BIG PASS twice from me. Looks like my January/Feb Vinyl budget will be going to MoFi and AP. For starters this Faces LP isn't even my favorite or listeners choice. Faces "A Nod is as Good as a Wink...to a Bind Horse" is by far a better LP. IMHO better for the Rod Stewart to come. As for Television? And you can buy one LP this month? BUY the lead singer and guitarist for Television Tom Verlaine's recent released "WARM AND COOL" WOW what a LP. I am going to have to buy another one because this one is being playing and will play so much. I would challenge everyone listen to "Warm and Cool" and then "Adventure" and decide which you will listen to more often. Short of a big RHINO Box Set this month? I will be buying Atlantic 75 Yes "Fragile" and Genesis " A Tick of the Trail" over these two RHINO releases. Next?
The best second album follow-up I can think of..... Strong songs.
Love your leopard-skin pill-box hat…
Man I wish I would have remembered the Marquee Moon reissue. The used prices are ridiculous. I’m interested in Adventure for sure.
I agree that 'Adventure' is as good as 'Marquee Moon'

Mazzy I recommend the Ronnie Lane boxset.
Great Jacket Mazzy!
Hi Mazzy, cheers from Brazil.
100% the whiners who only want Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath are missing out. Ignore the great Faces at your peril
Eddie Hazel?
