You look amazing! For me a novice the splitting of the strands and cutting hair at the end intimidates me. I rewatch often before I try but love it! And I love how down to earth you are!😀thank you
Thank you so much. I'm glad to be of help. When it comes to cutting, take it one snip at a time, step back every so often to observe your progress then continue.
Thank you for doing this method my mom has really thin hair and I didn’t know if we were going to be able to find a crochet method that works! New sub here 🤗
Hello, thank you and welcome in. I'm glad to be of help. Us thin hair folks are often left out on here, so I'm here to inspire and show we can do just as much as the high density folks. 🤗
I dip the hair in water before I pull it apart. It helps it to stay together and prevents tangles due to the water weighing it down. Also, a tip is to use your thumb to run it down the hair before pulling it apart.
Thanks. I was the same until I just tried something different one day with this method because I got tired of the hair loosen up after a few days. I also started a rice water journey to help strengthen my hair back in May and my results have been very noticeable.
Nefer it looks great! I'll try combination of rubber bands in front and cornrow at the back I think. Was it easier take down with the rubber band method? My hair is very thin in top and thicker in the back very weird. Thank you so much for sharing.
Really pretty style. You are such a talent! How do you take crochet styles down? I'm thinking cutting the knots which would freak me out lol. It would be interesting to a videos on take downs.
Thanks, I think I have a video on how I remove them on here. But I start in the back of my head. I unconnect the anchor braid, take it down and the crochets slide off as I unbraid the cornrows.
Looks really good I'm going to try it on my head. I tried it before but I couldn't deal with the rubber bands I think I had them to tight so I took it all down. but I'm going to try it again thanks
These lasted about 4 weeks. You can do a regular wash or cleanse the scalp with dry shampoo or astringent. I have an update video somewhere on my channel also.
I have fine curly hair that’s thin and I got crochet faux locs 2 weeks ago and I’m already needing a reinstall. I wonder if this method will work with faux locs. 🤔
I've installed some it wasn't easy. It honestly depends on the size of the locs. If they are really bulky this method will not work because they will not go underneath the band smoothly. If I'd attempt it again, I'll make my sections larger so there's room to pull the needle through without damaging the natural hair. You can also try train track braids, plait your hair and connect just like the rubber bands. Hope this helps. 😊
Some might but the hair stays in place because it's also attached to your natural hair. I slid the bands off due to the blue magic being applied. I've attached a removal process video below if you're interested. th-cam.com/video/cq-TBugR98Q/w-d-xo.html
I love crotchet hair. I lost so much hair the two times I did it. I swore I would never do it again. A couple of years later I am going to try it one more time using the rubber band method. I also have thin hair. Do you always braid on dry hair?
No. I moisturize quite heavily. I like using Garnier leave in conditioner and blue magic grease. This helps prevents breakage while I manipulate my hair.
No breakage, I overly moisturize when using. I also have a few videos posted on my channel maintenance when wearing. This process has actually helped my hair grow back after I cut it. I also use them often on my 3 year old. I have a few of her styles posted as well.
I try to crochet on top of the rubber bands 1st, then fill in the spaces. This way makes everything really secure, the hair stays in place even if the bands pop.
Thanks. I'm so glad I tried the rubber bands. Honestly, it will last for as long as you can maintain your style. Me personally, wore my crochets for 4 weeks and a few days before I removed them. I could've went longer but I was ready to wear another style. I have an update video posted on my channel.
I have not experienced any breakage. I seal my hair with blue magic while installing and ensure to keep my hair moisturized throughout the install. The bands slides right off for me.
Hello sis thanks for kp on show us how and what u do and use for crochet I'm a fan now I just have to add u to my Instagram page love ur hair I'd have a TH-cam page where i can show my work but were do u order ur hair from
Honestly, none. I would suggest if you try this method, use a lot of oil or grease. I use blue magic to coat my hair, definitely helps.i have a few other videos on my channel using this method. I also show how to remove the bands.
Thanks sis. I finally got it

Haven’t purchased any crochet hair where l can break it into 3 pieces without it being a fuzzy mess

Just beautiful! I sometimes get scared to try to pull on my hair because it's so thin But I love this method I'm going to try it Thank you

Awesome, it means a lot. I try my best be as humble as I know how, thanks.
I will definitely try this technique today hopefully it works out. I'm new subscriber too.
Cool, thanks. I hope it works out for you. It's my new favorite right now! Just be sure to keep your hair moisturized throughout.
Yes it looks really nice thank you
Thank you. ☺️
I'm late but glad i found this video. Thank you for this video!!! My hair is also long but thin. This helps me so much. Thank you! I sub
Thanks. I'm glad you found my video. I try to help as much as I can for us low density gals. 😊
Thanks for sharing. Wanted to do my mom's but wasn't sure how B.C. of her hair type changed
Yw. Glad to help.
Really suits you. I normally use cornrows. But will definitely try this rubber band technique.
Thanks. It's my new favorite. I hope it works out great for you.

Me too my hair is thinner at the front but thicker at the back
Great job and it look wonderful!
Thanks.
EXCELLENT job! Thanks for sharing!!
Alright, thanks so much. 😊
Hi i will be trying this method...thanks...looks great on u...
Great I hope it turns out great for you. I'm hooked on this process, it works so well for me.
New subscriber!!! Love the method and the outcome definitely trying this!!
Thank you. I hope it turns out amazing for you. I'm glad I decided to try it out myself.
Yes
This is cute.👌
Thanks so much.
Can you do a pre-twisted or braided crochet with this braid pattern please?
Yes. I recently crocheted faux locs. You can crochet any hair, it holds up great, even if the bands pop, the hair stays in place just fine.
You did a great job I never use 2 packs I use 6 pack I wonder what am doing wrong
Thanks. Try separating the hair more. Especially if the piece is really thick. It really helps limit the amount of hair needed.

BEAUTIFUL JOB💋
Thanks.
Looks really good I'm going to try it on my head. I tried it before but I couldn't deal with the rubber bands I think I had them to tight so I took it all down. but I'm going to try it again thanks
Thanks. I can't stand anything too tight either. Just wrap 3 to 4 times. They'll still hold up quite well.
That's cute!
Thanks, this was one of my favorites!
But if you cut the hair it ends up being shorter than 18 inch, also could you not cut the hair bit still do the tip and tricks but without cutting?
thanks for sharing I want to try this method can i ask how long it stay in please
Yw, thanks for watching. I am able to wear mine for about 5 weeks but could probably go longer.
Very nice 👍👍👍
Thanks. 😊
It's beautiful 🥰💕
Thanks. 😊
How long do they last ..and how do you clean in between..I have the same color and I want to look good like you girl
You stayed it

Did the rubbers break? And if so did.the hair come out that was crochet through the rubber? Just curious

I want to try the rubber band method on my daughters hair as I don't know how to braid. Did you notice the rubber band pulling your hair out?
No breakage, I overly moisturize when using. I also have a few videos posted on my channel maintenance when wearing. This process has actually helped my hair grow back after I cut it. I also use them often on my 3 year old. I have a few of her styles posted as well.
Can you use net with this?
I would say yes.
Hi, does this braid base style work with any type of crochet hair? I'd love to try this out as I have trouble with cornrowing my hair
Yes. Any style of crochet will work. It works especially well with pretwisted or box braids crochets.
@@ShunaB. thank you so much!
Yw!
Does it last longer with the rubber bands??
Yes, I can wear up to 8 weeks.
Do u crochet the parts that are rubberband only or the space in between to?
I try to crochet on top of the rubber bands 1st, then fill in the spaces. This way makes everything really secure, the hair stays in place even if the bands pop.
I love this! I have supper thin hair too. Any advice for a white girl wanting to do this look? Lol I love it!
Thanks. If you're able to cornrow or rubber band your hair, it's definitely doable. There are also nets that can be used to help crochet the hair on.
Looks really nice!! Tyfs ❤️ *SUBBED* ☺️
Thanks. It's now a staple style for me because I enjoyed it so much!
THIS IS BOMB! How did it hold up with the rubber bands? How long did it last?
Thanks. I'm so glad I tried the rubber bands. Honestly, it will last for as long as you can maintain your style. Me personally, wore my crochets for 4 weeks and a few days before I removed them. @@ShunaB. thank you MUCHO!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT to see the updated style. Thanks for posting this.
You're welcome.
How long do you keep this style in?
I wore this one for 5 weeks I think.
Do the rubber bands break your hair
I have not experienced any breakage. I seal my hair with blue magic while installing and ensure to keep my hair moisturized throughout the install. The bands slides right off for me.
@@ShunaB. thank you my edges are so thin.
@@penelopejohnson9393 You're welcome. I use dr miracles follicle healer and it helps help strengthen my follicles in the that area.
I cant relate bc she has hella real my hair short. But its very pretty
Thanks. I understand. Are you trying to grow it out? I just started using rice water to help promote strength and I've seen great results on growth .
