Hi, I would like to share an experience that I had regarding Mother Mary. In 2010, I was in an abusive relationship, I was treated terrible, and cruel. This person suddenly became my enemy and after I left this person, I had a dream of Mother Mary comforting me, and telling me I would be protected and safe from harm. I will never forget that it was a very traumatizing time in my life and I wasn't religious. I will never forget that dream, my life was never the same after that, she truly is a mother and protector. I have so much respect for her.
Because my mother isn't close with me is the reason why MARY is so close to me! The joy I had when I converted 2 years ago in the Holy Catholic Church, to receive and draw close to Our Lady! She relieved me through the Holy Rosary of my anxiety attacks as well. The Miraculous Medal is, and has been with me since day one. Thanks be to God! 💖🙏💪⛪🎉
I picked out a miraculous medal bracelet for Valentine's day this year, and I have grown in my devotion to Mary ever since. It's rather unexpected. But wonderful!
wow omg i somewhat recently accepted Jesus in my life (towards the beginning of covid) and i was trying to figure out which denomination i belonged in. when i learned more about Mary, i loved her but it seems no church talked about her any further than "she gave birth to Jesus" when i knew she wasnt just a vessel. the only churches that give her the respect and admiration she deserves and actually teaches about her as a role model to women is the catholic and orthodox churches. but it was difficult for me to fully dive into Catholicism because some of the things the catholic church does seems heretical on a surface level, as a lot of protestants have oh so "kindly" pointed out. but when i actually did research and listened to real catholics, i realized it is all very biblical and that this is how Jesus intended His kingdom to be. so recently i have been wanting to get closer to Mary because God is so deep and has infinitely many ways of showing Himself, and Mary is one of those ways. she is the mother figure i've always needed, someone to aspire to be like. but i am the only christian in my house, the rest are athiests all the way and will probably never change. i keep my faith mostly hidden from them. i have some childhood friends who are catholics and were how i was exposed to christianity in the first place, but they are moving away. so when i have questions about the catholic faith, i turn to people like you on the internet. thank you for this video!

We've been praying the Rosary daily as a family for almost a year. Even when we are on a trip we still pray it while driving, I want our children to grow in faith, to know that through prayer, everything is possible, especially when we pray to Mother Mary. This year I did the Mother Mary lenten journey. It helped me get closer to her and now everyday I make it a priority to include her in my prayers. I also wear a medal. It really is powerful and protective.🙏

One thing that you could add to your list (since you asked for recommendations) is the Brown Scapular. I have personally felt Mary's protection from wearing it. I know she has kept me safe even when I didn't necessarily deserve to be protected like in my rebellious teenage years.
For me praying literally fixes everything, especially praying the rosary! I was crying and overall feeling badly about some stuff. I decided to take a moment to be alone and just pray the rosary. I prayed and told God and Mother Mary what was on my mind. I thought about children running into their mothers' arms when crying. It felt like a burden had been taken from me, like Mary was there hugging me. I felt so happy and relaxed, and as soon as I was done praying I received some news that made me understand that my prayers were beginning to be answered.
I’d recommend See How She Loves Us (50 approved apparitions) and Those Who Saw Her. Mary Day by Day is a lovely devotional. I’ve also read about the Incorruptibles and currently reading about Eucharistic miracles. So amazing!
I love the rosary, such peace, you feel protected, it feels like she is leading the way through your day...the day goes better. Can someone consecrate their family/children?
Thanks to Our Lady and praying the Pompeii rosary novena I have got many blessings and many troubles gone away. Just pray to Her with faith and She will do like at the wedding in Cana to ask her Son for help.
I had an aversion to Mary when I was a child and a young person. I didn't like Her because she was too goody goody. But when I read Her words from the Apparitions in Medjugorje, and I started to pray the Rosary at 22 yrs old, She touched my heart.
Isnt it silly the games satan and the devils play in our minds. Because his pride cant stand Our Lady being a human and all above him! Once you see these games he plays you know your growing closer to God.
One of my fave devotions is the 7 Sorrows of Mary - only takes a few minutes, doesn't require beads or accoutrements, and can be done from memory anywhere, since it is only 7 scenes and the Hail Mary.
Growing as a confused and lost kid or soul, my "mother" was the Devil in my eyes. She was no mother to me, but the other Women in my life who've taught me the value of living, believing in God, and seeking the Light, I've them to be EVER-SO grateful for... just as I am with Mother Mary, the GREATEST of all Mothers. It’s bizarre. I don’t know if the demons are mad that I am wearing this extra protection or what. I keep praying, waiting for it to stop. St. Michael and St. Joseph, come to my aid.

I have been going to a large Catholic Church that has a lot of activities. I am going to RCIA classes and this decision has caused tension as our family attends a Protestant church. I really feel my timing is way off to finally get interested in Catholicism as my kids are very active in our Protestant church. I am just now discovering Mary and that people can have a relationship with her but it seems like more Catholic women have this relationship or maybe I just hear it addressed more with women? Anyhow, as the head of the household, I am quite curious if buying a miraculous metal or just praying to her directly would help at least calm my wife down as I move forward with my Catholic journey. I just don’t want to have discussions that can turn argumentative and then the kids see this.

It is in your heart. You know you worship when you beleive she is above God. But what we should be doing is through her powerful intercession we are pleading to God. It is always an intercession for prayers. For protection she does it with the authority given by Jesus. It is the knowledge brother that anything Mary does is only through her son . And this does not degrade her because it is from her son we are getting all this. So she is happy about doing it. Mediating for us.
Think of her as your lawyer when you sit in judgement. Satan is you accuser. Jesus is the judge. Our Lady is our advocate. I think of her as queen if saints but Jesus is King of kings. He is above all including his mother. He will never say no to his mother so ask Mother to speak on your behalf to him. Of course our Eternal Father is above everything. I think lighting candles to pray the rosary are fine it reminds me of the light of Jesus especially in this dark world we live. God bless you.

I've been meaning to ask you how you get to mass on Saturday? The only masses that we have are the Sunday vigil ones that count for Sunday. Do you have a morning mass at your parish?
Not Heather, but my parish has a Saturday morning mass, and the other parish I occasionally go to also has a Saturday morning mass (both in the 7 - 8AM timeframe).
I’ve heard her calling to me for months now. I’m here. I’m listening now. I’ll stop running. I get it. I was Atheist raised, at 23 y/o nondenom saved by Christ. I didn’t expect to know Mary. Im 26 now. I didn’t ever expect to know God at all. This is all a whirlwind. I thought Catholicism was heretical. I’m silenced. Humbled. Sorry. And grateful.
You mentioned how if we find ourselves worshipping Mary, it would be considered a mortal sin. Keep in mind Heather that there is specific criteria for a sin to be considered mortal, or "of a grave nature." In short, a person has to have the knowledge it is a serious matter and still choose to commit to doing it. Most folks don't intentionally worship Mary, they may get carried away during their prayer time with her or with their requests to her, but that hardly qualifies as mortal as it is believed that even saints and angels will just deflect the unintended worship to the Lord anyway.
Correct however it is very clearly one of the 10 commandments not to worship anyone other than God. That is not a little sin but a big sin and honestly it would hurt Mary if someone where to worshipped her. It is also a basic of the Christian faith. I'm guessing you are talking about loving Mary not Worshipping Mary two VERY different things. One could never love Mary too much:)

As a lifelong born and raised Catholic man in his 30's who has never fallen away from the Church and never misses mass, I'm sure people may unintentionally toe the line between loving and worshipping at times, not even realizing they are doing so. That's all I was trying to say. I think you and I both know the valid points we are trying to make.
i would think most would feel they are not worthy of consecrating themselves to beautiful Mary because they struggle with addictions and sins ( i have had that problem) and to fall back in to them after consecrating to her they would feel like they did something terribly wrong and are headed to hell

I was praying the rosary with this woman but she seems to make Mary more important than Jesus and God. This has always been a criticism of Catholicism.

I have been going to a large Catholic Church that has a lot of activities. I am going to RCIA classes and this decision has caused tension as our family attends a Protestant church. I really feel my timing is way off to finally get interested in Catholicism as my kids are very active in our Protestant church. I am just now discovering Mary and that people can have a relationship with her but it seems like more Catholic women have this relationship or maybe I just hear it addressed more with women? Anyhow, as the head of the household, I am quite curious if buying a miraculous metal or just praying to her directly would help at least calm my wife down as I move forward with my Catholic journey. I just don’t want to have discussions that can turn argumentative and then the kids see this.
.mother Mary is the mother of all of us without mother Mary we have no help and praying 🙏 on a regular basis will help us get through tough situation.

Is lighting candles to Mary worship? What are the limits or differences of worship and prayer?
It is in your heart. You know you worship when you beleive she is above God. But what we should be doing is through her powerful intercession we are pleading to God. It is always an intercession for prayers. For protection she does it with the authority given by Jesus. It is the knowledge brother that anything Mary does is only through her son . And this does not degrade her because it is from her son we are getting all this. So she is happy about doing it. Mediating for us.
Think of her as your lawyer when you sit in judgement. Satan is you accuser. Jesus is the judge. Our Lady is our advocate. I think of her as queen if saints but Jesus is King of kings. He is above all including his mother. He will never say no to his mother so ask Mother to speak on your behalf to him. Of course our Eternal Father is above everything. I think lighting candles to pray the rosary are fine it reminds me of the light of Jesus especially in this dark world we live. God bless you.

Worship is only to God ,
Unless you think she is god .
Example if you think a rock is god than that would be idolatry or anything .
Candles is light ,and God is light a representation of God because he is the light to the world.

I've been meaning to ask you how you get to mass on Saturday? The only masses that we have are the Sunday vigil ones that count for Sunday. Do you have a morning mass at your parish?
Not Heather, but my parish has a Saturday morning mass, and the other parish I occasionally go to also has a Saturday morning mass (both in the 7 - 8AM timeframe).
I’ve heard her calling to me for months now. I’m here. I’m listening now. I’ll stop running. I get it. I was Atheist raised, at 23 y/o nondenom saved by Christ. I didn’t expect to know Mary. Im 26 now. I didn’t ever expect to know God at all. This is all a whirlwind. I thought Catholicism was heretical. I’m silenced. Humbled. Sorry. And grateful.

You mentioned how if we find ourselves worshipping Mary, it would be considered a mortal sin. Keep in mind Heather that there is specific criteria for a sin to be considered mortal, or "of a grave nature." In short, a person has to have the knowledge it is a serious matter and still choose to commit to doing it. Most folks don't intentionally worship Mary, they may get carried away during their prayer time with her or with their requests to her, but that hardly qualifies as mortal as it is believed that even saints and angels will just deflect the unintended worship to the Lord anyway.
Correct however it is very clearly one of the 10 commandments not to worship anyone other than God. That is not a little sin but a big sin and honestly it would hurt Mary if someone where to worshipped her. It is also a basic of the Christian faith. I'm guessing you are talking about loving Mary not Worshipping Mary two VERY different things. One could never love Mary too much:)

As a lifelong born and raised Catholic man in his 30's who has never fallen away from the Church and never misses mass, I'm sure people may unintentionally toe the line between loving and worshipping at times, not even realizing they are doing so. That's all I was trying to say.
I think you and I both know the valid points we are trying to make.
i would think most would feel they are not worthy of consecrating themselves to beautiful Mary because they struggle with addictions and sins ( i have had that problem) and to fall back in to them after consecrating to her they would feel like they did something terribly wrong and are headed to hell

I was praying the rosary with this woman but she seems to make Mary more important than Jesus and God. This has always been a criticism of Catholicism.
Do you love your child less by loving your spouse?
Mother Mary intercedes for us to her son as she did during the wedding in Cana when the spouses grew short of wine. She loves us as her children.
Can you love Mary too much? St. Maximilian Kolbe could be guilty of that, but he said " Don't worry, you cannot love Mary more than Jesus does"....
With regards to the Protestants and the Blessed Mother,.....it's useless. They'll never understand Marian devotion. They will always think it's "worship" to her.
Hi friend according to scripture when ever we bow down to a person or an angel scripture calls it worship
Jesus tells us to worship God for when we pray we only pray to the father in Jesus's name
No one in the unerverse is intitle to recieve prayers or bow down to not unless it to the father himself

It goes deeper than that. They won't even think of her with reverence. We are truly blessed to have both a Mother and a Father in heaven.
