Besides a confirmation for a new song in 2021, which was never released, she hasn't updated her social media. Her entertainment, base camp studio, stayed, until now, silent. Nobody knows what is happening, but the fandom is to small to use public pressure against the entertainment.
Fanwars and bullying on the internet suck, but also I'm glad that these older methods have died down. It must've been terrifying for the group to go to their activities, and being a fan of Baby Vox and risking getting in the middle of the toxic boy group stans must've been scary too
my sister was a fan of them and she was bullied physically and mentally at school bc she was seen buying a cd and she got an egg thrown at her at a dream concert she said that it was hell being a gg stan in the 1st gen and as someone who is 2nd gen kpop gg stan i thought i couldnt be worse than it was but it was
So all of this hate is basically because female fans were jealous of girl groups, there was a dating rumor and the thought of their idols being in couple was a nightmare for them so they decided to make their life a living hell. WOW! How ridiculous and sad your life must be to ruin someone’s life. When are fans going to understand that they don’t own idols and that they can be in couple whit who they want. I hope a majority of these antis payed for their actions and are sorry for what they made these womens go through.
I can't believe H.O.T or SM never stepped in. If even the news talked about it, they must have known. They saw these innocent women get hurt by anti-fans in their name and did absolutely nothing

To think that a dating rumor back then could cause injury or potentially death is terrifying to me. Thanks to those freaking crazy fans that Baby VOX decided to promote more in other countries and my Thailand was one of them. In early 2000s, they came to join a big concert festival and loved it here so much they came back to shoot MVs and many more promotions over the years. It paved the way for Korean artists to come here and promote which made Thai people more receptive to their music. I might even daresay that Nichkhun, Sorn, Lisa, and many later were results of this entire story. PS: I still own Baby VOX cassettes and DVDs to this day. Everything started from them. Much love

I was a huge fan of Baby Vox back in high school, still a fan. Had the big crush on Shim Eun Jun. I remember buying their album in ktown, a lady angrily asked, why I listened to that crap and not buy their album. I told her, make me its a free country and I can listen to or buy whatever I want. This was back in 2003, how times flies!

I'm glad that ktubers are finally talking about baby vox 😭 i only discovered the group in late 2019 and honestly I spent the whole quarantine binging on their music, performances and interviews and i barely found any english or translated contents for them. I was super shocked when I found about how they were terrorized by antis i really thought they were loved just as much as s.e.s and fin.k.l because of how talented they were. It's good they have a CEO and company that tried their hardest protecting them, it's just they were up against a fandom from a big company. The members had so much patience. I would have gone all out. I would have carried my own eggs and throw it back at them or flip them off as well while I was performing. I would have press charges even if they were minors, I was a fan to many K-pop groups at that age but never thought of sending blades to idols that are caught in a dating rumor with my faves, I didn't even show anger. I would be happy for my faves. Having this kind of behavior is not normal, doesn't matter what age you are. Even though things have improved, it's not better, there is still a lot of flaws.

as much as i hate that social media has made hate towards idols more widespread, i'm thankful that it at least gave unhinged anti-fans a safer outlet to express their hatred rather than putting the idols in physical danger
I got into Baby Vox a couple years ago, their music means a lot to me. It’s so shocking to hear all of this, I had no idea what they were going through at the time.
As a current White Angel (who was born after this incident), I am so sorry this happened to all Baby Angels. Seriously, there are so many people to blame- the psychopatic fans, the hate train, the people who started the rumours, but Miyeon is not one of them. I do respect and admire these guys, as they have been helping me understand life, but hearing these things, and realising Heejun hasn’t helped out and spoke out on what has happened, I couldn’t say anything but I have less respect for him rather than any of the other 4. I do have slight less respect for some of the other members, including a member (who I would not name) being arrested for illegal gambling. This isn’t a hate comment to him or anything, so don’t think I’m some sort of hater towards him while I respect the other members as a whole. Idols are humans. We all have our pros and cons as a human. But sadly, this is a con for him. I’m just angry at him. It’s nothing special. People can be angry at others for something wrong, but don’t take it too far. I mean, don’t be like those dirty White Angels that tried to injure a female idol bc their favourite member was dating that idol. Miyoun has spoken about it. She said that one day she received a lengthy DM from a woman who was a H.O.T. fan in her teenage days and was "hating" on Miyoun. She didn't do anything physical but joined the hate train to not be bullied by her friends. Miyoun said the woman apologised to her saying she now has a daughter who is into idol groups and seeing the kid made her reflect on what a dumb teenager she was. One step on the right direction. There are a few stories of 1st gen antis growing up and reaching our to the artists and apologising, I hope there are more that we just don't know.
The fact that a good chunk of these anti fans are probably like parents now…..scary like I pray they grew out of it but if they were that extreme and intense I fear for them

I remember leaving a comment saying you should cover them. Now, you probably didn't do it because of me but I think it's cool, and obviously sad. I was both a H.O.T and BBV fan back in the days and since I was watching from afar, I didn't know all the drama that was going on (news travelled at a different pace in the early 2000s). When I learned about it all later, I was very disappointed in Moon Hee Jun's demeanour. He never acknowledged the gravity of the situation, nor did any other member look back and see it from BBV's point of view. I'm pretty sure it's to avoid angering their fanbase, even years later. And I loved H.O.T, but still disappointed it was never properly addressed...both groups members are almost all over 40 ffs.
Moon Heejun and Kan Miyoun have met a lot on varieties over the years and NEVER did Heejun even properly say sorry for giving Miyoun the worst time of her life. On one hand, he clearly is not responsible for his fans but the least he could have said to Miyoun is "hey I never wanted it either, it's a travesty what happened. If there's anything I can do to help you heal from it tell me". Not even that. All he alwasy said is "our fans were very obsessed with us" "we were marketed to be like boyfriend's to them" yeah and? I was just a fan, their songs had meaning for me 20 years ago so that won't change. I believe I can like what they did music wise without liking who they became as men. I used to watch Baby Vox on Channel V and I also used to envy them. I had no idea that they were plagued with such unfair and dangerous situations as I am from the Philippines. It's sad that there are antis and sasaengs in every generation of idols. I think they should be held accountable even if they are minors, too.

Miyoun is one of my favourite singers and she's so talented and beautiful, Baby V.O.X. is one of my favourite groups ever, it's a mfing travesty what happened to them, and the effects this incident still has on the ladies, especially Lee Heejin and Yoon Eunhye. There's a good reason I don't vibe with H.o.t. songs - they wrote about school bullying while their own fandom terrorised and bullied everyone else.

Especially since Rodrigo has way more freedom of speech and actions than Kpop artists especially in this day and age. I've been a K-pop fan since 2018, and I still don't understand how someone can be a fan of just one group. If I enjoy a style of music, I pretty much always end up becoming a fan of almost every artist or group that performs in that style.

It's scary that some of these were MINORs but nothing could be done because SK doesn't really like to punish minors (or their parents get fined/punished rather than the minor). Like how all the real old boomers born in the 50s call any young person today millennials even if they are not millennials. It is all now based on the conversation context to understand what people mean. For instance, un fass is clearly younger ( the way they express in their comment)and could be from the current-gen z generation who refer anyone older or with contradicting to be boomers even if the real context of the word doesn't make sense. fandoms have always been toxic, this problem has been going on for decades with each and every fad and trend with celebrities. When old fandoms die down and calm down, new ones will appear with new fresh, and high-energy manifestations. It's a cycle. Besides the current K-pop fandom is no better than the past generation when you look into the events and problems of the era and before that. !st gen k-popper may see it calmer or less tense due to the lack of international and commercial involvement at the time. At least the fandoms now are active.

I was a huge fan of Baby Vox back in high school, still a fan. Had the big crush on Shim Eun Jun. I remember buying their album in ktown, a lady angrily asked, why I listened to that crap and not buy their album. I told her, make me its a free country and I can listen to or buy whatever I want. This was back in 2003, how times flies!

i only discovered the group in late 2019 and honestly I spent the whole quarantine binging on their music, performances and interviews and i barely found any english or translated contents for them. I was super shocked when I found about how they were terrorized by antis i really thought they were loved just as much as s.e.s and fin.k.l because of how talented they were. Dr music was always a mess that's why their groups (post baby vox) are hardly finding any success

It's good they have a CEO and company that tried their hardest protecting them, it's just they were up against a fandom from a big company. The members had so much patience. I would have gone all out. I would have carried my own eggs and throw it back at them or flip them off as well while I was performing. I would have press charges even if they were minors, I was a fan to many K-pop groups at that age but never thought of sending blades to idols that are caught in a dating rumor with my faves, I didn't even show anger. I would be happy for my faves. Having this kind of behavior is not normal, doesn't matter what age you are. Even though things have improved, it's not better, there is still a lot of flaws.

I got into Baby Vox a couple years ago, their music means a lot to me. It’s so shocking to hear all of this, I had no idea what they were going through at the time.
As a current White Angel (who was born after this incident), I am so sorry this happened to all Baby Angels. Seriously, there are so many people to blame- the psychopatic fans, the hate train, the people who started the rumours, but Miyeon is not one of them.
I do respect and admire these guys, as they have been helping me understand life, but hearing these things, and realising Heejun hasn’t helped out and spoke out on what has happened, I couldn’t say anything but I have less respect for him rather than any of the other 4. I do have slight less respect for some of the other members, including a member (who I would not name) being arrested for illegal gambling.
This isn’t a hate comment to him or anything, so don’t think I’m some sort of hater towards him while I respect the other members as a whole. Idols are humans. We all have our pros and cons as a human. But sadly, this is a con for him.
I’m just angry at him. It’s nothing special. People can be angry at others for something wrong, but don’t take it too far. I mean, don’t be like those dirty White Angels that tried to injure a female idol bc their favourite member was dating that idol.
I hope all the Baby VOX members and Baby Angels who have been affected by all the hate swirling around them are doing better now. And again, I apologise.

Miyoun has spoken about it. She said that one day she received a lengthy DM from a woman who was a H.O.T. fan in her teenage days and was "hating" on Miyoun. She didn't do anything physical but joined the hate train to not be bullied by her friends. Miyoun said the woman apologised to her saying she now has a daughter who is into idol groups and seeing the kid made her reflect on what a dumb teenager she was. One step on the right direction.
There are a few stories of 1st gen antis growing up and reaching our to the artists and apologising, I hope there are more that we just don't know.

I remember leaving a comment saying you should cover them. Now, you probably didn't do it because of me but I think it's cool, and obviously sad. I was both a H.O.T and BBV fan back in the days and since I was watching from afar, I didn't know all the drama that was going on (news travelled at a different pace in the early 2000s). When I learned about it all later, I was very disappointed in Moon Hee Jun's demeanour. He never acknowledged the gravity of the situation, nor did any other member look back and see it from BBV's point of view. I'm pretty sure it's to avoid angering their fanbase, even years later. And I loved H.O.T, but still disappointed it was never properly addressed...both groups members are almost all over 40 ffs.
Moon Heejun and Kan Miyoun have met a lot on varieties over the years and NEVER did Heejun even properly say sorry for giving Miyoun the worst time of her life. On one hand, he clearly is not responsible for his fans but the least he could have said to Miyoun is "hey I never wanted it either, it's a travesty what happened. If there's anything I can do to help you heal from it tell me". Not even that. All he alwasy said is "our fans were very obsessed with us" "we were marketed to be like boyfriend's to them" yeah and? This talented woman was ripped to shreds and you can't even say a word of sorry?

I was just a fan, their songs had meaning for me 20 years ago so that won't change. I believe I can like what they did music wise without liking who they became as men. I hate that idols are marketed as boyfriends/girlfriends too. Label companies shouldn’t advertise their idols as their fans lovers or potential lovers in order to gain money and success. Especially considering the majority age demographic of Kpop stans. It’s predatory and has literally never worked in an idols favor..
I used to watch Baby Vox on Channel V and I also used to envy them. I had no idea that they were plagued with such unfair and dangerous situations as I am from the Philippines. It's sad that there are antis and sasaengs in every generation of idols. I think they should be held accountable even if they are minors, too.

Miyoun is one of my favourite singers and she's so talented and beautiful, Baby V.O.X. is one of my favourite groups ever, it's a mfing travesty what happened to them, and the effects this incident still has on the ladies, especially Lee Heejin and Yoon Eunhye. There's a good reason I don't vibe with H.o.t. songs - they wrote about school bullying while their own fandom terrorised and bullied everyone else.

I've been a K-pop fan since 2018, and I still don't understand how someone can be a fan of just one group. If I enjoy a style of music, I pretty much always end up becoming a fan of almost every artist or group that performs in that style.

It's scary that some of these were MINORs but nothing could be done because SK doesn't really like to punish minors (or their parents get fined/punished rather than the minor). Like how all the real old boomers born in the 50s call any young person today millennials even if they are not millennials. It is all now based on the conversation context to understand what people mean. For instance, un fass is clearly younger ( the way they express in their comment)and could be from the current-gen z generation who refer anyone older or with contradicting to be boomers even if the real context of the word doesn't make sense. fandoms have always been toxic, this problem has been going on for decades with each and every fad and trend with celebrities. When old fandoms die down and calm down, new ones will appear with new fresh, and high-energy manifestations. It's a cycle.
