Fun fact: one of the scriptwriter in F4Thailand is the scriptwriter of The Girl from Nowhere.
I went to an all boys exclusive school here in the Philippines where all the scholarship students are all grouped together. They have their own set of teachers, principal, even their own uniform that is different from ours. They're called "night school" because their classes start at around 6pm, when all of us "day school" kids are already done with our classes. They dont get mixed with us because some parents would complain to the school board about it.

I watched all versions including the animated one. Love the Taiwanese version because it is more realistic and they are in college but production wise, Korean version is the best. I remember getting up at 3 am because that is the time the fan sub is 100% done.

I have watched both Boys Over Flowers and Meteor Garden many times. I thought they were the only ones, but today started watching the Japanese version and it’s pretty spot on with F4 almost exactly, even the almost rape.
honestly the Japanese version has the best chemistry between the leads...they also dated for 9 years.

Sweethearts the original version is by far the best...like it's sooo nostalgic😭 The fashion will kill you😂 and the OSTs are top notch. The guys who play F4 are actually in a boy group called F4 in Taiwan🌝. Never regretted watching it even in 360p😂
I agree with Christine, Hana Yori Dango is sooo good too, but particularly the thing that saved it for me was the OSTs, the way they pronounced their names like saying Maaaa-ki-no or Domyouji, and whenever they say "Ehhhhh" or "Haiiii"...(lol leave me alone,I know I am weird).
The Chinese version was very good too, especially towards the end and the Korean version I only watched it because of Jihoon😅

No, the original is the manga (made way back in 1992), not the taiwanese version 👈 urg this is why i hate people who copy things but didn't give credits to the original work 🙄 (which was what the previous adaptations did), but luckily in this thai version they do leave credits to ms kamio

Haha agree with Thymes hair, didn’t like it in the trailer. I’m already caught up with ep 4 and just watching reaction videos, and you’ve probably noticed by now how his hair keeps changing lol.Most likely because they started filming this back in 2020 and had to postpone filming a lot cause of the pandemic. So they’ve probably refilmed certain scenes and kept old scenes. they are also currently still filming and Brights current hair is the “nice” hair.

I have watched every version of Hana Yori Dango. I like Meteor Garden and I hate the season 2 because they created their own story (the manga not finished yet). My fave Hana Yori Dango, MG then Dylan Wang version, my least fave Boys Over Flower. But I love Kim Bum too. I’m glad I found your channel so I can rewatch the next episodes with you.

I've not watched it and I didn't watch the korean (even though I love k shows) or Japanese versions but saw the korean.v trailer n there was a bit of bullying assuming the same with the Japanese.v. I don't do well with contents having extensive bullying or harassment scenes even though (especially if the person who's doing it, is portrayed as good a guy, giving him redemption arc or something [for instance I hated redemption arc in twd])I haven't suffered from it jsuk but just can't watch these things, for example I was depressed after watching 13rwhy for days.
I also saw a reddit review about boys over flower that it was kinda sexist too, correct me if I'm wrong.
So I'm asking for guidance here,
If any1 who's watching F4 thailand to let me know if I should watch it.
Btw for curious minds I didn't see Kent's reaction I just clicked on it coz I wanted somewhere to ask this.
F4 Thailand actually corrects all these tropes and does not romanticize the bullying. F4 Thailand is also not sexist and very women empowerment which we love it. It’s a very refreshing rendition compared to the other adaptations. However the first 2 eps does have bullying as it starts the plot of the story. However to my surprise, the bullying was no longer a factor in the plot in ep 3. The bullying is pretty harsh though; however if you can push through the bullying part, it’s an amazing show. And I’m happy to say it stays away from all the old school drama tropes.
