hello sir you unlock the remote to be able to program it. it is only for the original remotes no need for unlocking the aftermarket remotes if it is still new

If you buy a used key (programmed to another vehicle), it has information about the last car, so you would need to renew the key or in other words remove the information for the last car, so it can be used for another car.
