    Honestly these Tonerider pickups are some of the best out there at any price. I have this set in four of my Strats and I can afford more expensive pickups. Don't be afraid to buy these! Don't pay for the name. Pay less for what works better!

    I put this set on my Squier Protone Strat plus .022 tone cap and wired tone pot to bridge pup, I also put a metal plate under my bridge pup, brilliant sound.

    Its not often I turn the volume up when I watch some of these demos. But for this demo I did. You should work for ToneRider. Very great playing, love it and the sounds !!

    Thanks for the demos! I'm looking for a set of Strat pickups and you are demoing both of the sets on my short list: Toneriders and Tone Emporiums. You make them all sound great but this will help me narrow it down. Much appreciated!

    Solid chop. Steady groove. Dig it. Maybe telling viewers how the tone knobs were set? Position 1 sounds better on clean than on hair, but #5 is righteous!

    I fitted these in a Mexican strat.They are a huge improvement on the stock pickups.

    Funny, I have been researching budget-friendly pickups for a project and narrowed it down to these and the GFS 59 Vintage Wounds. Went back to compare this vid to the one that put the GFSs into contention and I'll be dammed if it wasn't you playing those too. Haha . . . guess i just like what your fingers have to say and the way they say it. Just goes to show, its the Indian and not the arrow. Good stuff!

    Very seldom do I find the desire to post on a pickup demo. Could you possibly demo every pickup made? This should be training video for those who demo pickups. Lot's of clean. Then instead of using some transparent smooth overdrive use a transistor sounding, harsh clipping RAT. You could not have made a better choice to show how these pickups shine. By the way. LOVE the RAT for it's over the top harsh clipping.

      It does not have to be all, there is no need to be perfect. One or several samples can be judged by a person who needs it. People are different, picks are different, amps are different ... I think they are understood by individuals to watch.

      If you were looking for SRV tone from Tonerider, the City Limits set is the way to go. It's DESIGNED for SRV tone. Classic Blues and Pure Vintage... less so.

    • @dannymartel6348
      @dannymartel6348 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tonerider city limits is described as a Texas tone pickup (SRV) and the McNelly triple scoop has a Mayer-esque touch to it according to their website. When in doubt, just listen to some demos on TH-cam. By the way, McNelly is twice the price of a Tonerider pickup if you don't want to break your budget.
