Don't worry, I'll explain it in detail. William Afton is the main antagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. He built a diner with his best friend Henry Emily, with dangerous suits called Springlock Suits. Anyways, William kills Henry's daughter, Charlotte, after she is locked outside the diner. The diner is shut down, but later re-opened by a company known as Fazbear Entertainment, where they also built a new pizzeria, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. Back at Fredbear's (The Diner), William's younger son (The Crying Child) gets his frontal lobe bitten of by Fredbear during a springlock failure in 1983. 2 years later (roughly), he kills 5 children at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria after luring them into a back room with the (now decommissioned) Springlock suits. He then stuffed the dead bodies of the children into the suits, and the souls of the children would later possess the animatronics. The animatronics were reported to have a foul odor and occasionally pour blood and mucus. This sparked an investigation of the Pizzeria, and it was eventually shut down. Whilst all this happened, William was making a rental service for new circus themed animatronics, known as 'Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental', where the animatronics were designed to be shipped off to people for birthday parties, but we're also designed to abduct and kill children. He was transported to a horror attraction named Fazbear's Fright, which poked fun at the old Pizzeria's dark past. On the last night, we learn there was a fire in Fazbear's Fright, caused by William's son, but William is still alive. Now being salvaged from a back alley as Scraptrap, who is even more damaged, he hunts his son throughout a series of vents. The pizzeria was just a ploy though, as soon, Henry Emily would burn down the Pizzeria aswell as the few remaining possessed animatronics. After the fire, William's corpse somehow gets out of the suit and goes into a hospital, where he was kept alive and forced to go through a 'dream' / coma (called UCN) all the time by a soul named Andrew (The one you shouldn't have killed). William's story goes 2 ways from here. You can either believe William is stuck in his coma/dream, and he is still in UCN, or you can believe that when Fazbear Entertainment made a VR Game to poke fun at their dark past, they scanned part of the Scraptrap suit into the game, which held afton's conscience, and he became Glitchtrap, a digital virus insise a vr game, who started to mind control people, and he got his main (although reluctant) follower, Vanessa/ Vanny, to rebuild his body from various parts. Also, if you believe that William is still in UCN, you will most likely believe the Mimic theory.

So, a few years later, in 1993, Fazbear Entertainment give it one last go by re-opening the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, but no-one goes due to its history of murders. It shuts down, and a while after William goes back to destroy the animatronics, but gets chased by the souls. Panicking, he puts on an old Springbonnie suit in the backroom. Whilst laughing at the souls, a drop of water lands on the suit, causing it to snap shut. William would of been impaled from all angles, bleeding loads, most of his vital organs being crushed, drowning in blood, and most importantly, the metal endoskeleton of the Springbonnie Suit fused with his corpse. Fazbear Entertainment seals up the wall to the safe room. 30 years later, in 2023, the wall to the safe wall is moved, and the old, now rotten, springbonnie suit is now known as Springtrap. He was transported to a horror attraction named Fazbear's Fright, which poked fun at the old Pizzeria's dark past. On the last night, we learn there was a fire in Fazbear's Fright, caused by William's son, but William is still alive. Now being salvaged from a back alley as Scraptrap, who is even more damaged, he hunts his son throughout a series of vents. The pizzeria was just a ploy though, as soon, Henry Emily would burn down the Pizzeria aswell as the few remaining possessed animatronics. After the fire, William's corpse somehow gets out of the suit and goes into a hospital, where he was kept alive and forced to go through a 'dream' / coma (called UCN) all the time by a soul named Andrew (The one you shouldn't have killed). William's story goes 2 ways from here. You can either believe William is stuck in his coma/dream, and he is still in UCN, or you can believe that when Fazbear Entertainment made a VR Game to poke fun at their dark past, they scanned part of the Scraptrap suit into the game, which held afton's conscience, and he became Glitchtrap, a digital virus insise a vr game, who started to mind control people, and he got his main (although reluctant) follower, Vanessa/ Vanny, to rebuild his body from various parts. Also, if you believe that William is still in UCN, you will most likely believe the Mimic theory.
