Thank you. I’m rebuilding a YJ from the ground up and the PO blew 5th gear. I had a AX5 in the garage so I used that with plans to replace 5th gear in the original AX5. I never did this before but after watching your video I’m actually looking forward to it.
Hello my transmission is a ax15 but is similar. Wondering if you know if the reverse and 5 setup is same or similar ?? My transmission will not go into reverse or fifth gear . No noise just will not do anything .
You done good, nice to see creativity instead of bodging a repair. Oh, using a carpenter's hammer makes sense because a machinist ball peen can damage metal, carpenter is for wood. Yes?
Great video , very easy to understand thanks so much ! I bought that 5th gear collar from All state gear www.allstategear.com/ It wasn’t the problem my gears were grinded down pretty bad but I installed it just Incase I’ve heard that 5th gear sliding off can happen and I don’t wany to go back in there if I don’t have too
Thanks for these videos. My 5th just went out and now I feel comfortable trying to fix it. 🙂

Decent presentation. Not some rambling repeating, or vlog shit including other life shit.
