As a aspiring video editor, I have got a quite good feeling from all the advice, tips, and perspective you've share from 1 to 4 videos, also love the changes of your hair. You are amazing. Definetly gonna rewatch some videos and hoping for more videos to come. Thank you so much!!
Oh hahaah yes my hair definitely goes through its seasons 😅 and I’m really happy to hear you’re finding the videos valuable! Definitely have more videos to come :) thank you!!!
yeah i tried the whole youtube tiktok thing for 10 years and the juice was entirely NOT worth the squeeze. So I just use youtube as a portfolio/project closet.
Hi Colleen, so I just finished two course on premiere pro video editing and I’m thinking of trying to get clients and gigs but I also think I have to know after effects first before I do, so you think it’s necessary that I know after effects first, although I already started a course on it.
I don’t think you have to know after effects first! I think you should see if the kind of jobs you’re interested in even require after effects :) even then, you can learn as you go if you get the job!
@@ColleenCavolo wow, had no idea, idk if it’s my OCD but I tend to want to figure it out first before diving in HAHA. Thanks. I recently reached out to a TH-cam to help edit their videos and although I feel like I can do majority of what is done in their videos but after watching a lot of them, I kinda feel overwhelmed like I might not be able to do some of the things they did in those videos and disappoint them or something. What do you recommend? Thanks for your response by the way, I appreciate taking your time to reply.
@@acrxss from what I’ve learned and what I’ve been told. It’s better to get the job first, figure out what you’ll need to learn, then learn that specifically so you can do the job. The alternative is you just trying to learn everything about editing or after effects, but would all of it really stick when you don’t have a specific project to apply what you’ve learned to? So that’s my advice :)
Looks like your editor is on a vacation which means there could be a opportunity for another editor like me. Also this video was uploaded almost 3months ago & the last short (with captions overlapping subscribe button) was uploaded ~25days ago. You've been sharing valuable insights & true thoughts about freelancing consistently for years, which means there's a scope to repurpose old content or clips to produce brand-new crisp content. I'll share timestamps & links of your content (that I believe would get more views) To your email as soon as you double/triple tap this comment
Hi colleen, I’m a beginner in Adobe Premiere Pro, and I’m looking for opportunities to assist a professional editor and learn more about the craft. I’ve previously worked with TV channels, so I have experience with broadcast content, editing workflows, and deadlines. I’m eager to improve my editing skills and would love to connect with anyone who needs help or has advice for a beginner looking to grow. Thanks in advance!
Well deserved! Love your channel (although I rarely comment) and love your hair 😅 Congrats on 10K and lots of success further along the way! 👏
Oh my gosh, thank you soooo much!!!! 😍🤩 I really appreciate that!!!

Congratulations. Do you help people learn how to be a youtube video editor?
I help people through this channel and through my Skillshare courses! Currently I am not doing one-on-ones :)
