Another great video, i just shared this video with mmy relative who lives in your town, i asked him if he recognises this place and he said he lives local to it, visit that place loads of times, goes to show its a small world on youtube
Thanks for the very informative video. I can't say I know Burslem well but nevertheless it's sad to see so much of a once great town, indeed, the "mother" of Stoke on Trent allowed fall into disrepair. The potential is there, it just wants a bit of help!
The George Hotel has not been a hotel for many years. As early as 2019, possibly earlier, it was used mainly for the homeless and those less fortunate. Substance abuse, addiction and homelessness carry a trend of petty crime and a life of bad decisions. 😶
Having spent 65 years of my Life in the potteries, and now living in North wales, I look forward to your videos showing me what life is like living there now. However I was disappointed with your Burslem video because I could only hear half the sound. I feel I have missed out on some very interesting facts and information. This is not a criticism, just making you aware. You seemed to pass the Marquis of Grandby, where my aunty spent all her working life serving the customers, does this have a new name now. I am still using some of the ware from Doultons factory shop, the blue gates brought back some memories, was this Nile Street. I seem to remember they had a cinema which was popular on Saturday mornings?

Same as Tunstall, like a land that time forgot. tories and Labour have had their chance, time for REFORM.
Even Reform cannot halt the tide of Time.
