I would have avoided the timpany. I'd prefer this work to sound more like the symphony K201.... my opinion of course

That's a very good opinion, and I think it's correct.
Next time I arrange a Mozart piano sonata, I plan to do it according to the arrangement of Mozart's early symphonies.
