- (G-BNWA) Boeing 767-336ER Amazing RR engines, sunset departure from Glasgow inbound for Heathrow T5. This was the highlight of the short trip to Glasgow, the 767 is a very big plane for the route it flies however there were 200 passengers out of a possible 259. BNWA is the oldest 767 in the Ba fleet, currently 25.5 years old. Excellent flight, very quick and very minor turbulence. Came in on the easterly approach for Heathrow, landing on 09R. Looking old on the inside now but certainly not showing it in its performance! A heavily de-rated departure out of Glasgow, 64 degrees Celsius presumed temperature as the aircraft had a large under load in terms of fuel, however amazing sound and condensation build up in the engines on takeoff.

6:23 - I’m really glad to see TUI/Thomson’s 757-200. It’s nice that they’re holding onto them and not retiring them for more ‘fuel efficient’ aircraft.
They operate their final passenger flights this week.

Love the video, but really love the weak sun you have at that time of year. Shadows very long, but the hills have no snow yet. Reminds me of Dunedin (NZ) in May/June at the same time. Long shadows but still green and snow free.

I doubt very much it really was 64 degrees Celsius!...767s are used on domestic routes like Glasgow purely for capacity reasons...once the last 767 retires from BA not sure what they'll use...probably more 321s, perhaps even a 787

Thanks mate :D I've just always wanted to fly on a BA 767 so picked it up pretty cheap ahaha! The pilots told me it was 200 so it was about 3/5 full, got some snaps of the flightdeck on my insta and twitter accounts if your interested, but thanks!
I flew LHR-GLA last month but wasn't able to get the 767 flight, but did get an A320 with the new cabin. Also had a chat with the crew.
ScottishFlyerHD how does it compare to their previous cabin? And do they allow you to keep the overhead monitors on during flight? Wanted to know as I'm flying up next March..
041Mgiga I cannot compare as I never experienced the old cabin. The monitors stay on throughout the flight, yes.

Fantastic ! The NORBO 1J Departure - My favourite (but quite rare) departure SID too. Big sweeping left bank gives a great view over Glasgow if there isn't too much cloud.

+Chris Addison Yeah! It's pretty cool isn't it, if I remember rightly, the crew actually said they were going to request the Turnberry departure even though they are a 767 aha! As you can see they didn't get it which doesn't surprise me. Thanks a lot :D
