I am constantly amazed at how you can make that machine do the littlest things like shift those pipes just a few inches for a perfect joint or pick up the smallest twig.
So glad to hear home building is alive and well in NC. This has been a tough year because of the pandemic and the spike in building material prices. So many , many beautiful building lots in your part of the world, Chris! Great video, as always. Hope you have a great weekend.👍😍
In northern Utah we are always looking for precipitation.... I can appreciate both sides... Many years ago I lived and worked in the woods as a forester in Southern Mississippi where it rains lots, and many other places in the USA before retiring
I mean just beat the rain, well for the most part anyway !! lolol... In and out !! Bam !! Bam !! On to the Next.... Have a Great Weekend Chris !! Opening day of Deer Season here in Western Ky. in the morning, guess I'm gonna try and see if I can knock me down a Big Buck in the morning !! lolol....Have a Great Evening.....
Good evening Chris, watching you trying to snap those little trees, this might sound silly but could you put some sort of slicing blades on the two middle teeth of the grapple, kinda like wolverines claws. If nothing else you can get a laugh out of the idea, or make a million on the idea. Have a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@letsdig18 mom and dad were pretty poor after they were married. When it finally came time to build a house they only had the $$$ to build a basement. So from ‘64 to ‘72 our “house” stuck out of the ground 3’. In ‘72 they built the “upstairs” so we had a 6 bed, 2 bath, 2 living rooms, dining rooms and kitchens. In 2018 south central ks re wives like 14” of rain in 3 days. The WATER TABLE rose so much, mom ended up with 8” of water in her basement. That is one sweet looking dump truck! Also, you're making me want to try concrete culvert pipe for a driveway sometime. We never use concrete. Is there a particular reason to use that rather than corrugated metal or plastic? It obviously seems like it would hold up the best so most likely the reason I assume.
well with metal the bottom will rust out within 20 years, and plastic can be crushed from heavy trucks/ machinery much easier than concrete, so you assume right
Any set of circumstances, 50-50 chance Chris or his uncle had much say in the matter...could be covenant or municipality requirement, engineer’s spec, too little or too much cover, simply closer supplier, customer’s choice, list goes on...
Septic tank, so it'll probably be easier to access for emptying. Or they plan on growing vegetables in the back and don't want them unsafe for consumption.
Their ground “out back” may have not passed a perc test and it did in front... We have a couple of LEO’s in the area and they have their houses as far back as they could get them...makes them/wife/kids harder to target, if you know what I mean.

Hi Chris, when your pulling out a trees like this and one tree has a good root system that is pulling the Machine towards the tree dose the machine have an emergency tip system that stops all power to engine if it goes past a set deg of tilt? Dose that make sense. DJ Tarneit Victoria Australia
More and more people are building in lower areas on what land is left to build on. Can only hope they build high you can always fill in. Too low and oh well should of thought ahead, like building in the bottom of a funnel.
Hello . I have an honest and straightforward question : wouldn't a serious size chipper / shredder like one that you can pull behind your dump truck be more convenient for all those brushes and little trees? . then you don't have to take that to the landfill anymore. Here in the EU, England and Scandinavian countries, wood chips are still very useful as : bio fuel for power plants, organic walking paths, against weeds in gardens, etc. is that not the case in America in your region? . would love to hear your thoughts on this. and NO this is not a reaction HOW you MUST do your job! . that is up to you to determine of course. I'm not saying you MUST buy one either. just exchange thoughts about it and maybe it will give you an idea. with kind regards Hollandduck from the Netherlands
Hey Chris I need to come down there where u live at and hang out with u all day and learn how to run the heavy equipment u run I can run them some but not as good as u do cause u are the best equipment operator that i ever seen cause the person I worked for show me some and he was good at what he did cause up here where I live he was good at what he done for people and made a name for himself but u out do him and he was an older man to I worked for him for 2 years and he has been doing what he does for years and years but ur the best Chris and u show and teach alot to of what ur doing and that's why I watch ur videos cause u take time out of ur day to show and teach of what ur doing at work

That skid steer is a pushing machine! Thanks for sharing, stay safe and dry.
Glad the rain missed ya. We got it over in central NC almost 4 inches in my raingauge... good vid, thanks!
Yeah, and their filling in all the drain ditches in this video.
Chris, you are such a master on that skid steer. First good snow, you need to go out on the field at the farm and do some skid steer art for us!
I am constantly amazed at how you can make that machine do the littlest things like shift those pipes just a few inches for a perfect joint or pick up the smallest twig.
I think that is why guys that do this for a living come home and watch this for fun. They know how difficult that really is.

Like the video Chris and your uncle keep that truck very clean .
Looking forward to getting started on work on letsdig 18 every day 👍💪
Beautiful New home Site. I’d rather have House sitting back further than a buried septic tank. 👍
“They can have there trash back “ 😂 😂😂😂.
Yea right, lmaoooo
Its not stopped raining here for weeks, great job and just in time 👍
And just like that he's done. I was really getting into that. Such a welcome change to what we are hearing all day. Thanks Chris G.
Dang gone it Chris, you've got the new side boards on the dump truck already broken!
Your attitude is much better than mine when those blinking trees don't want to cooperate. I would have to edit out lots of words. LOL!
You can’t get no better than that . It looks a whole lot better than it was
True True, ALL politicians should be only able to be in office for 3 to 4 terms. Not a live time job..........
Gotta love that bucket on the skid loader
But you love the mud. Lol.that skid steer has the best setup plus the top dog in the seat 😆. Stay healthy and safe everyone
Best use of the 4 in 1 bucket that I have seen so far at the 27:20 mark
You got the life my friend, Keep moving that money dirt! U got my dream job bunch of projects and bunch big toys to run lol
Good for you Chris ☂️
The weatherman had a blast yesterday. We got about 4 inches of rain about an hour+ south ish from you.
Chris it looks like you’ve been running that machine 30 years! And narrate a video at the same time. Amazing!
Nice quick little project to end the day.
I'd rather be in your shoes trying to beat the rain than trying to beat the snow ! ❄️ ❄️ ❄️

The house next to you there Chris, looks like the house you just did with the Garage going in the back yard.
You need a Ground Shark to attack those little trees.
Still kinda surprises me how much dirt those skid steers can push.
awesome job Chris
You definitely get more in a bite of that than what the video shows, put it all in perspective when you swing it over top of that truck.
Can't believe someone would want there sewer in the front yard, especially with the slope going to the back yard.
Septic tank, so it'll probably be easier to access for emptying.

Just imagine how green the grass will be!

Well done .
Would it be worth investing in a large chipper to reduce your haul time ?
The end product could be a money maker.
He has said they don't want to get a chipper. Even though one of his friends has one. Chippers are extremely expensive to maintain.

The weatherman said here that we had a hundred percent chance of rain and we were supposed to get 0.28 % precipitation
The light pole and green box bother you?
I hope your not getting the flooding they show on the news out there..love the vids chris🍻
I think John and I have about the same disposition....:)

So the back yard is in the front?Lol

I don't know diddly-squat about it, but the tracks on the skid steer look loose.
