    Great bike for WV roads.

Frank. Took my father to get one of these this past weekend. He loved it. Then he sat on a Tracer 900 GT+, and I reminded him he's getting pretty old and it would be the wiser choice. Lol. He got the tracer, but boy, I sure wanted him to get the 1000SX.

Haha, nice. Both great bikes, I think there was no wrong choice between the two.

@TexOn2Wheels I'm not a talkative person, but I'll consider it. Mostly, I like to share the sounds of the motorcycle and the scenery passing by.

Frank, which bike do you prefer riding the Ninja 1000 SX or the Ninja ZX 4RR and why?
I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a 40th anniversary Ninja ZX 4RR.
It will be my first super sport motorcycle.
People say to me why don't you go with a ZX6R or ZX10R, but I think they might be just too much motorcycle for me, as it will be my first Super Sport.
    What do you think?

Well, both bikes have their own strengths and weaknesses. I like the 1000SX for its comfort and near limitless power, but it is big and heavy. I like the ZX-4 for its playful engine and nimble handling, but it gets unbearable to ride for long distances because of the aggressive riding position. The ZX-4 would be a great first supersport bike. It's still got a good amount of power when you wind out the engine and it is an easy bike to ride.

Frank to be honest with you I'm not sure I'm going to like the leaning forward riding position of the ZX-4RR.
I've never ridden one yet, but it's the only 400 series motorcycle sold today with a high revving, inline 4-cylinder, screaming engine.
I'd prefer something like the Honda CB400 with its more traditional, upright seating position.
Unfortunately those motorcycles were never sold in North America, and they came with a delicious high revving inline 4-cylinder that sound glorious.
Take a look at what I'm referring to here.

@@dougmaverick3287 You're pretty dang upright on the ZX4RR. Its far less leaned forward than any 1000cc. Very comfortable for what it is.

      Thanks my friend.
I think the best thing for me to do is try a Ninja ZX-4RR and see how it fits me.
