Hi I just ordered the FT02 sst40 6500K. Is that our version please ? I was hoping that had not too green a tint, but still a nice neutral light. And still bright. Sounds like you are really pleased with yours. I was not sure to take a risk on the sst40 5000K version. I find proper type torches are lower white wise compared to say your amazon Generic ones, all of those seem very white. Thanks. Also PTD thank you for the Great Vid and Shots etc.

I heard once that your version of LED has very nice clean white, but i've never seen it. I also recommend you to use Samsung 40T battery. It has 35A and 4000 mAh capacity.
Yeah man, it's definitely a favourite for the size. I just wish I could get a 26350 battery. I can use a 18350 with the 18650 adapter, but the adapter is a little loose.

I bought the FT02S SST40 and was very disappointed with the beam artifacts, so I've been waiting to see what the beam will be like for the EA01S since it appears to use the same basic reflector shape but shorter. It looks like the artifacts are less in the EA01S but still too much for me. I am however getting a ton of pleasure out of my 5 other Astrolux lights!

Beautiful review mate. The SST40 in the EAO1S wastes less of the light and throws so well for the head size. The XHP50 really creates a wall of light. The only choice is to buy both of them. I loved the lights on the rotary table great way too showcase the torches, got me all warm and fuzzy lol 😂. Great beam shots. All together a wonderful review.

Yes, I'll definitely be running those same tests on the FT02S and EA01. One thing I forgot to mention is the room temp was 22°C. I think the default temp is set to 45°C so you'd get a lot less runtime before it steps down. Every model that uses Anduril UI needs to be calibrated otherwise it'll step down too early.
@@laithjasim7256 Yes, that's always going to be the case, the more mass there is, the better it can dissipate the heat. Isn't it better to have 11, 000 lumens than only limiting yourself to 1,280? These models are more for enthusiasts, not the average user. I absolutely love pulling out a tiny flashlight and going full turbo, it's just incredible to see so much light for something so small :)
Depends on your preference tbh. The EA01S is quite a lot smaller, but can't handle higher lumen levels for very long. They're both excellent, but my favourite is the EA01S XHP50.2 due to the size :)

Hi, 3 clicks while the light is off and 3 clicks to cycle through the modes Battery Check > Sunset Mode > Beacon > Temp Check While on Temp Check you'll click 4 times, the first blink and shimmer is for setting the base temp/room temp, and the second two flashes and shimmer is for setting the thermal limit. So, 4 clicks to enter Temp Config > 1 blink and shimmer = setting the base temp > 2 blinks and shimmer = setting the thermal limit. For 50°C you'll click 20 times while the light is shimmering/flickering. Every +1 click increases the thermal limit from 30°C by +1°C, so 51°C would be 21 clicks. I'm not sure whether this model has been updated to use the new Anduril V2, or whether it still uses Anduril V1. If it's V2 it's different.

I have 2 of these flashlights and neither of them will accept a charge through the type C port. I have to take the batteries out and charge in a stand alone charger.
You've tried different cables? Hope you kept hassling Banggood for a refund. I had a few issues myself through Mateminco. Couple with faulty LEDs and a driver issue. Buying through Mateminco on AliExpress provides you with the full 12 month warranty, whereas Banggood is like 30 days or less sometimes
Charging in an external charger is way safer anyway. Inside a flashlight there's no way to monitor the heat or other issue. If the battery fails then your flashlight literally becomes a bomb

Hi, no difference. Banggood seem to be more honest with the specs than Mateminco. Recently found out that Mateminco no longer carry out any safety testing anymore. I used to be a dealer until I asked for the CE & ROHS Certs, only to be told they don't do that anymore

Another option I have is Acebeam 21700 is has 5100 mAh with 25A continues discharge, will it be good
@@lio1999 protected 21700 will not fit though.... unprotected flat top = 70mm unprotected button top - 72mm protected = 75mm You may not be able to use turbo if a protected battery is used. This model also fits an 18650 and 26650 which a protected size will fit. Hide them from your friends or change it to Muggle Mode first

@@lio1999 Protected 18650 will still not be able to use Turbo. The protection on batteries usually cut off at 2.4 volts anyway which is already too low. Protection should never be relied upon as they don't always work, so basic knowledge of li-ion safety is needed. These models have low voltage protection anyway at around 2.6 volts so unprotected shouldn't be an issue. A protection circuit is better for over charge protection or to stop short circuits if they carry in a pocket with coins or other conductive objects. The EA01S XHP50.2 on turbo draws 32A. The SST40 draws 25A, so no protected 18650 will give turbo without the protection tripping

You can do it with Clear paint cans, spray the reflector 3 to 4 feet away and make the orange peel. Make 2 o 3 layers of clear and done.

I tried to install 21700 Fenix battery with micro usb charger unfortunately I couldn’t the battery little taller than flashlight room
70 - 70.3mm length max and it needs to be unprotected with a 25 amp+ continuous discharge rating. That fenix is a bad choice even if it could fit

Yes, Fenix is only 8Amp, I am going with protected batteries because of safety, I have friends might take my flashlights and most of them have no knowledge how to deal with Li-ion batteries. Another option I have is Acebeam 21700 is has 5100 mAh with 25A continues discharge, will it be good

unprotected button top - 72mm
protected = 75mm
You may not be able to use turbo if a protected battery is used. This model also fits an 18650 and 26650 which a protected size will fit.
Hide them from your friends or change it to Muggle Mode first

Thank you, that means the 21700 with USB-C even taller than 75mm. Muggle would help in not reaching the maximum power of the flashlight but they can still fully discharge the battery which is my main concern

The protection on batteries usually cut off at 2.4 volts anyway which is already too low. Protection should never be relied upon as they don't always work, so basic knowledge of li-ion safety is needed.
These models have low voltage protection anyway at around 2.6 volts so unprotected shouldn't be an issue. A protection circuit is better for over charge protection or to stop short circuits if they carry in a pocket with coins or other conductive objects.
The EA01S XHP50.2 on turbo draws 32A. The SST40 draws 25A, so no protected 18650 will give turbo without the protection tripping
