I'd like to be an AA pilot as well. I'm in high school but in roughly 2 years I will start flight school. It would be interesting if you do a video on flight schools choosing opportunities to get to the AA company as a whole. Or maybe some kind of video explaining the basics of the E-145. In general every video you make keep us up!
I was just about to say the same thing. The video, the music, I needed that. I definitely would welcome more videos - even if it's a repeat of the same thing - it's just nice to escape COVID, even if it's only for ten minutes.
Nice job, Swayne! I got my Private Pilot's License for 1500$.. back in 1975 of course. I went on to fly C208's, then 757's, then MD11's for FedEx! I ended up retiring at the mandatory age of 65, but now I'm enjoying retirement and really enjoyed this video! Been flying my Piper Archer a bunch over the past few weeks, and it's really nice to see the younger generations getting interested in flying! It takes a lot of money and effort, but to any young person seeing this video, do it at all costs! I didn't come from a high income family when I was young, but I was able to achieve my dream of flying despite that. Anyone who says that flying is only for the rich, is wrong. Achieve your dreams at all costs, nothing's stopping you. Safe landings, Sid.
Swayne's videos are the ones where I can watch it once per day, and the 100th time I watch it, it's as entertaining and awe-inspiring as the first. Very great and high-quality content that he uploads. Keep up the amazing and motivating work!
Great video! I want to be a pilot someday, and finding your videos a year ago helped me through quarantine last year and showed me what I was really passionate about!
You are the only you-tuber that makes me so happy to watch your videos! I want to become an airline pilot when I'm older and when I watch your videos I'm just amazed by how amazing the job is! Thanks Swayne!
Greetings sir! Really enjoy your videos, very informative and entertaining. FYI, I am now retired from AA, after 25 years of managing primarily RR engine inventory. I initially worked for RR right after college, then joined Eastern in MIA. Eventually went to AA, mostly working at the now defunct AFW mtce base. In my later years, also worked at LAX and JFK. Thoroughly enjoyed my airline experience, along with the constant non-rev travel around the world! Kudos to you and your career now! The videos are great! Cheers!
Just stumbled onto your vlog. I've was a Navy aviator for 23 years and now I fly 91 for a private individual. I love your videos. Your love for flying shows on every video I've seen. Keep the vids coming and keep up the good work. Thanks
Boys I just learned today that I am going to be going to flight school here in about 2-3 weeks and I am so excited I have been waiting all my life for this and thanks to Captain Joe in this guy here I know what to someone expect
Another amazing vid! Grew up in MIA..literally! Dad worked for the newspaper back in the 70s-80s. Got to shake hands with an Eastern Airline pilot when I was 10! Avgeek ever since!!
It’s funny, I’m well established in my piloting career. Yet I absolutely enjoy watching these videos! The perspective from someone who is excited and motivated in their career is a semi-rare treat. Keep flying and keep the positive attitude. More than anything else that will carry you to the greatest heights! To the people who watch these videos and want to see themselves doing the same things someday, have heart and dedication. It will pay off someday.
Love Eleuthera, it’s one of the few islands in the Bahamas with 3 commercial airports on it; North Eleuthera, Governors Harbour, and Rock Sound. I flew into there when it was still operated by the ATR, I wasn’t a trip reporter back then so I didn’t get any pictures or videos which sucks, but it was still something I’ll never forget.
Its fun to see our ERJs and crews off having fun in the islands. Looks a lot different sitting on the ramp there than at KMHK! Come back and visit us in Kansas again soon - we're getting an ORD overnight back in May on the 145!
Love flying in the islands. The people at White Star in North Eleuthera are always amazing and always greet us with a smile. Heading back later this week.
Great job, Swayne. You manage to capture many interesting perspectives of the world of aviation, which entices passengers to fly, and future aviators to become a part of the industry.
I remember watching this about a year ago thinking how cool it would be to become a pilot. Last month I just passed my private pilot check ride! Thank you for the inspiration Swayne!
Very excited for your video on ELH-- I have been going there since the days American Eagle flew the ATR 72- there-- its come quite a long way over the years, and remains one of my favorite airports to fly to!
I'm currently a cfii working on my atp minimums and with all the stuff happening this year getting me down it's videos like these that remind me that I'll be where you are one day (hopefully)
My man, Swayne. You are doing a great job. Keep it up young man. Thanks for posting the video. Its been a long time since a seen one of your videos. Huge encouragement of obtaining my private pilot license. Still at it. This is Awesome with a Capital "A". Can't wait for the next one. Requesting: More videos of you flying in the Bahamas. Do plan on flying to Nassau, Bahamas in the next two years and taking my little son with me as well.
I'm sure that reflecting on that month of flying will stay with you for awhile, and it must of been a breath of fresh air to fly with a really good friend. Those were some amazing views, I can see why thats why you bid to get those routes. Good planning !
This was quite refreshing to watch. I live in the Caribbean and have been a passenger on the American Eagle ATR's. I do miss seeing them. Looking forward to the next video which focuses on a specific flight into the Bahamas. Great job Swayne.
Glad to see you back. And I also like the fact that regional jets are perfect selection for island hoping. Not everywhere in the world but still. One thing I like the most is visual approach with a jet as the only option on this small islands 😛
I’ve been flying charter for a couple of years now and this year we had a couple of trips down to North Eleuthera. And I would have to agree, nothing like being out over the islands. We had an E145 land right after us and I was completely shocked that the little airport had airline service, especially with the condition the runway is in. Great video!
Completely random: Sometimes I listen to ATC at busy airports and track the flights on Flightradar24. I was listening to the ATC at Columbus International Airport in Ohio and I'm pretty sure I head Swayne on the radio. It was amazing! I was like "I know that voice!" Great video Swayne! Love what you are doing! Thanks for the great content!
It’s funny because I’ve lived in north Eleuthera my whole life and recently moved to Nassau, it’s great to do another aviator/blogger giving our islands some love and exposure
I miss the old ATR's rides and scenery from San Juan to St Thomas and Punta Cana back in the day. You'll really enjoy the Caribbean and the weather will keep you on your toes too.
It’s been a while and I’m glad you’re back. Looks like a great connection with the left seat in this video. Is she going to be a regular with you now on the Caribbean flights? The editing is always on point with your videos but they aren’t long enough. 😂
Sir! Your appreciation of flying and highlighting the joy of things makes me think of this quote, “I think it is a pity to lose the romantic side of flying and simply to accept it as a common means of transport.” - Amy Johnson
Flying into North Eleuthera is also challenging because you have some aircraft tuned to the UNICOM frequency and other aircraft flying IFR and tuned to Miami Center until they're on the approach into ELH.
Omg man, your videos are So inspirational, I can’t wait to start my journey as a Pilot! 👨✈️ Keep up the Great videos man, I Know I’m not the only one that feels this way!
Do you want to become an airline pilot? Leave me a comment and me know what you want to learn about or see behind the scenes!
Ur story
Ur so inspirational now I wanna become a pilot when I get older
I'd like to be an AA pilot as well. I'm in high school but in roughly 2 years I will start flight school.

How to talk as a pilot
I want to be an airline pilot for Alaska and I would love to see a video about you’re story and you’re future plan as an airline pilot
Nice one Swayne! Absolutely love the views I'm seeing in this video! Keep on doing what you're doing!
Captain Joe is here! :) I watch your videos everyday!
Hi joe! I love your cessna checklists!
I love your videos!!
Love your video, and detailed explanations, as a MX I find it funny that C/A always overreact and the F/O is just chill and want to fly
Hey Captain Joe! Love your videos!
Love flying in the Bahamas! Awesome video bud. 👍🏼
Thought about you when I was down there! So cool you spent a lot of time flying around the islands
Hey Steveo good to see you hanging the flight channels!
I've missed regular Swayne Martin uploads. Glad you're back!
I was just about to say the same thing. The video, the music, I needed that. I definitely would welcome more videos - even if it's a repeat of the same thing - it's just nice to escape COVID, even if it's only for ten minutes.
@Jackson Vickers Same, didn't think others besides me did that.
As a Bahamian I never realized how good our country looks until I watch pilot videos 🇧🇸

Somebody missed that sand between their toes. Island bug bit ya. Captain Lisa looks like she was as excited as you were. Great team.
I want to be a pilot when I'm older ,you always make me feel happy when you make these awsome videos! Great work
Great video! I want to be a pilot someday, and finding your videos a year ago helped me through quarantine last year and showed me what I was really passionate about!
Whenever a new video from you pops up - I watch it.
And thats because I loved every single one of them :D
Me to 😊
Hi
Thank you!!
You and Fly With Garrett are by far my two favorite aviation channels! The videos are amazing!
Damn I remember when this man flew the Cessna caravans in Hawaii, just look at him now the complete definition of never giving up.
Can safely say I have watched Swayne for four years now. Since January
Check out Ryan Huber another great channel. Guys super young and flys a G600 internationally.
Me too. When Swayne was still flying in Florida.
@@mikercflyer7383 yeah. And the videos were about two minutes long
@@joecarless9265 right

Love yout videos! They do really keep myself motivated to face up the day-to-day challenges. When you post, it is just amazing. Keep it up!!
That cinematic scene with the music at the start, that hit different :) My dreams in a video.. Amazing.
Glad to see you back in the cockpit, Swayne. Your videos are of the highest quality.
Boys I just learned today that I am going to be going to flight school here in about 2-3 weeks and I am so excited I have been waiting all my life for this and thanks to Captain Joe in this guy here I know what to someone expect
Thanks for your comments
Why you reply yourself
Waw ! your pilot channel is by far the best I have found so far, the more pleasant and stylish clips. Thank you for sharing! It is quite immersive.
Another amazing vid! Grew up in MIA..literally! Dad worked for the newspaper back in the 70s-80s. Got to shake hands with an Eastern Airline pilot when I was 10! Avgeek ever since!!
Great video as always! Wonderful motivation whilst studying for the ATPL exams, I hope to be able to make videos like this one day 🙂

Every time I doubt myself about becoming a pilot, I just watch your videos and boy do they inspire

Thanks again Swayne for another great vid. You give a lot of insights to the operations that usually aren’t at the forefront.

Yep, saw this one, too. Don't forget to keep this up when you transition to 175's! Good luck!
Love your videos so much! Captain Lisa seems to be the most fun companion!
🥳 congrats on 200k
Flew into North Eleuthera on an ATR 42-600 last year. Excited to see that video. That flight was a treat.

Hi Swayne. The interaction between the pilots and the passengers would be awesome to see, or even interaction with the cabin crew.
Yes I do because of you! I finally got in the EAA(Young eagles program) where I get to fly every Saturday and I love it so much!
Awesome video Swayne! thanks for sharing your insight on the daily life of a first officer!

Well done Swayne!! Looking forward to applying with Envoy soon.
