Such a beautiful city we stayed on the palm last May and returning this year in September and the metro system on the palm only goes up or down and if you want to get off the palm you need a taxi or Uber. The city is so vast and spread out. If you watch TH-cam vlogs it seems like you can just walk to places and you can’t. For example if you got the metro to see the Burj khalifa you have a walk for about 15-20 mins on a walkway/bridge system from the metro station. Just note you are going to use the metro or taxi system a lot if you don’t hire a car. Am from UK 🇬🇧 and was not in any mind set to hire a car heard so many stories how the traffic is crazy.
Theres a bus that connects you to the final destinations. Including one at burj khalifa/dubai mall metro station that takes you to the main enterance of dubai mall. The palm has a monorail and its private ( built by nakheel ) and they only recently started integrating with the public transit system, theres a reason why the monoral is not shown on the metro map. The monorail serves more of a tourist attraction than an actual proper system ( like the metro or tram ). In fact, its cheaper to take a taxi from the beginning to the end.
I used it during the EXPO many times. Unfortunately it was so crowded at this time that it was hard to breathe inside. But very amazing transportation system 👍
very decent metro! good maintenance!👍👍my city is delhi and i usually travel through metro to go to all places! in the near 2030 delhi plans to have 600 km+ metro lines which will evntually connect the whole city through underground and bridges! i think dubai is also doing good in this area! stats:- total track length (400km approx) and total stations ( 256)! which is 10th largest metro network in the world! i am surprised to see indian companies name in the dubai stations like "sobha reality" is a real estate indian company! actually dubai is controlled by amlost 50 percent of indians! i am not comparing ,just giving some knowledge!

However, none of that has been built at the location you see at 16:13, there is no station, at least for now. But, when designing the metro system it was considered that there might be a need to build one here in the future (if there is a need or demand). Maybe we will see a station here one day.
@@Aviationvlad Its actually an emergency staircase. You realize that the part you are on is elevated, and in case of emergency, a staircase like that needs to be built. So its not an unbuilt station.

А так, и внешне, и внутренне - это все-таки два разных поезда. В технические нюансы я, по правде говоря, не сильно погружался, но, пожалуй, самое заметное (с точки зрения пассажира) отличие - в Alstom Metropolis есть экраны над дверьми в салоне поезда (в Kinky Sharyo там схема линий метро и трамвая).
Некоторые моменты (например Burj Khalifa) очень впечатляет. В целом, необычно находиться в городе и осознавать, что буквально лет 30-40-50 всего этого не было вообще. Город очень чистый и безопасный. Но лично я словил ощущения комфорта.

Personally, I rather ride this any So called public transits Systems they have in the US. The only somewhat good Public transit is the NYC metro. BUT even that is filled with Graffiti and garbage and everywhere. I have also ones heard that it takes 25 mins for the train to actually come.
