Just want to let others know that this totally worked exactly as she said it would. The only difference in my project is that I used a dish of warm water to rinse out the sponge every few minutes. Lots of dirt!
Remember the point in using alcohol is that it evaporates quickly so you don't have to worry about mold/mildew. It also prevents the wet spots that are left behind when it dries.

Aside of how easy microfiber suede is to clean, is it moisture wicking? If you spill water, does it stay on the surface, saturate the fabric, or pass through to material underneath? I am wondering if microfiber suede would be good to use for a pet cage liner.
OMG! Thank you for this video. We have had our sofa and love seat for about 7 years. I wasn't sure how to clean it, so I just usually vacuumed it well and wiped it down with a damp cloth. They were starting to look pretty worn and shiny. We just decided to buy a new set, but I'm going to try this first. I'd rather save my money and get another 4-5 more years out of our current furniture.
I have the exact same couch except we have the matching chair as well. You know what's funny too; before we painted our formal living room and kids living room, they were the same color as yours. I really found this helpful. Great video!

Using Glass Cleaner Works Wonders as well, for the Deeper stains. Even better than Alcohol and/or in conjunction with it :) . Spray Down, Scrub, Whip off with a Hand Towel, let Dry, then Use a Soft Brush to Fluff the Microfiber back up, works Great ^_^
Trying this right now... Holy cow the alcohol fumes/smell is killing me! I don't know how you did it. lol I'm going to suffer through it, but whew! Even my eyes are burning! I've done one arm and down the side of my sectional. Going to see how that looks before I finish it. I may have to do a few rounds of this through the week to finish the whole sectional since the alcohol is bothering me so much, but it looks as if it's working GREAT! Thanks for sharing!!! :)

cool video I just got some stained m.fiber couches from my brother he was going to take them to the dump but there pretty high quality couches the only thing is there stained way worse than yours he has 3 kids they have been Pee'd on I'm sure there is silly putty that is stuck to one of the cushions but if you put that side down no big deal you can't see it! lol! I'm going to try the alcohol while I hit it with the upholstery rug Doctor I think that will get them pretty new looking again also my cushions have removeable covers can't they just be thrown in a washer machine or something

Will this method work on a microfiber, (leather-look) sectional. I recently purchased a sectional a gamma beige sectional and there is a small spot that look like it may be an ink spot.
I just unzip my cushions and throw the cushion covers in the wash. Have been doing it for years. It's very quick and simple. I also spray the cushions with disinfectant while the covers wash. Dry them on low heat.
with some couches you aren't able to remove the cushions or their covers.. and by the looks of it, i have the same couch in this video and it isn't an option. :(
Oh wow...poor thing. I just bought a new sectional for my living room...I had to make sure that the covers on that one unzipped as well. The old one, I have in the basement now. I think it is a good investment when you purchase ones that you can unzip. Saves money on having someone else clean it and things of that nature. Good luck hon!!
mine unzip but the label specifically says not to remove the covers. it's microfiber with a W on the label so i wonder if i could remove them and wash them instead of scrubbing?
Hi hon, I would try it ...but do it on a cool/gentle cycle. It should work just fine...and only dry for a few minutes and then air dry or let air dry all the way.

Hello! I used Final Cut Pro to make this on my Mac. The software itself has changed over the years, and there are lots of features I'm not sure how to use, but I still like it. iMovie was a bit too limiting for me.

Instead of boring us with facts in the beginning, cut to the chase and tell us facts vs fiction as you spray, instead of the singing THE EYE OF THE TIGER or any other song. She does perform well in front of the camera. Just my opinion. Thank you

you do not have to pour the alcohol in the other bottle you can just screw the sprayer to the top of the alcohol bottle

pull off the covers off and wash in cold water then hang dry i do it once a month just unzip and pull off cover
Using a credit card to scrape off excess liquid it helps dry faster and get up grime after you make your pass have a rag ready to soak up liquid

I used a scrub brush for mine...and it really does help with the scrubbing action and it does make the micro fiber look really nice.

I would rewet it with alcohol and then use a hairdryer to blow first cool then warm air on it.

I've also tried steam cleaning my couch with the rug steamer attachment. Works great for the times I don't want to remove the covers.
Quick, easy and it works! I used the sponge side of a scotchbite sponge
it works perfect with white Vinegar. It's also a deodorize after it dries.

if it has a W on the label, that means it's "water" friendly. So you can use a steam cleaner or water based cleaning products on them.

cutex is nail polish remover. that's acetone. rubbing alcohol is sold in stores as rubbing alcohol for cleaning wounds etc.
