75 mph and black ice, and how did it happen ? One cannot even stand on black ice. It is windswept and, well smooth or slick as ice. 45mph would be excessive speed on black ice.

The people who were in this accident and survived need to be offered counseling. Many continued blessings for all involved

This is why people should never tailgate others. I have been to Texas and have seen people drive bumper to bumper at 70+ MPH. I guess folks where snow and ice are common are conditioned to drive with caution during such weather conditions. I guess folks in Texas were not.

A lot of the people in texas now are from California they have never even seen ice on the road being a Mississippi native I know what ice does to a road you never drive fast and you never get right behind someone which you shouldn't be doing anyway every if it is sunshine because you don't have enough time to break for deer or dodge them like you would if you have space

I've had 3 major car accidents. 2 because of mechanical failure and 1 t-boning a stop sign runner. It stays with you and PTSD seems to add up.
My therapy? Magic Mushrooms and a long solitary day in a forest in the Rocky Mountains.
Looks like I was 35 years ahead of Psychologists. It worked. 💭

I moved to Texas many years ago from a State that does get ice and snow on a regular basis. The first Winter I was here while driving to work on 281, people were passing me just like this video. I'm doing 40 and they're doing 80. Ice everywhere but, nobody seemed to notice. That day their were over 400 wrecks in Austin alone. Nothing like the video but, it explained it well. Overconfident, inexperienced drivers.

Drivers can't stand to slow down, even way down to the speed limit. Doesn't seem to matter the road conditions.

I live in FW and driving around the DFW area is scary. Texans (mostly all) become very aggressive and selfish while driving the freeways. I don't know what happens to people once they get in their cars.....

America with its money could build self warming roads, instead they are wasted in unnecessary projects and wars

In 91, the USAF racked up a higher body count on a highway than that ice!

Unfortunately. Fort Worth would have accidents on dry ground. 4 wheelers will cut each other off and semi trucks. Cut over 4 lanes not giving a care about consequences. Which is why Texas car insurance cost more than NY. Red lights and stop signs are optional. You have more than a handful who don't heed to them. The very one's causing these accidents every single day. Then cry victim.

People lost their lives and people were injured and all you can be concerned about is the reporters hair makes you part of the problem. She still gets paid even if you don't like her hair.

@@aderiusscott2220 How so? Rude, maybe. I've heard similar remarks about a person's hair and the person wasn't black.
