Love your videos! Do you have a list or video of the books you used for Story of the world volume 1? My daughter will be 1st grade in fall and im slowly getting ready
TH-cam has notified me of this video about 6 or 7 times today, so maybe this will be of help from an Australian. For a read a loud - I highly recommend the 3 book series (John of the Sirius, John of sydney cove & John and Nanbaree) by Doris Chadwick. They are based on the first fleet. My girls got upset when i had to put them down.
It a shame there is no New Zealand authors that are on your read aloud or books on New Zealand history in your reading list when there is some great children books that are linked to New Zealand history
I appreciate your comment. I'd agree, actually. I do struggle to find good ones that go alongside of our Story of the World. We have read The Whale Rider, Amorangi and Millie's Trip Through Time and Children of the Rush 1 and 2. Highly recommend all of those books. We've also extensively covered NZ history in previous years as well as doing unit studies for our holidays here like Waitangi Day and Matariki. We visit museums and historical sites often, so I think my kids get a bit bored of having the same info repeatedly to them about NZ history all of the time.
My twins and I love Geronimo Stilton 🥰
Trumpet of the swans was awesome
Thanks! I been looking for books for my girl 8 to read ! She loves reading
