    Aww no you crashed as well, I love the Marlin and it flies very well but those little wheels no good for the field I fly at!! Your EDF was making some bad noises!! Did you find out what was causing it? Beautiful place to fly a model plane!! Your coast line is stunning!! Cheryl and myself visit a lot of our coast line!! But it not as stunning as yours!! Great video and I hope the Marlin glues back together well 😄👍

      Well, i wanted to follow you Ian😅. Yes the beaches here are so lovely & great sand to fly off just 8 mins from home.Did you see this location 30 mins away?

      It is the entry to Port Philip Bay & Greater Melbourne. I often film cruise ships entering, but none for a while here. I believe the crash was caused by signal loss as the receiver wires were together & not separated. As for the engine, maybe a leaf or sand but works ok now.
      Greetings to you & Cheryl, hope you can come & fly here when we open up the country again soon.

    Wow Noel that was nasty...do you think it was the rx? ..and what was that motor sound ?.. seemed to have gone away on the bench..at least of is a clean break, nothing some Foamtac and cocktail sticks cannot fix...good luck on the rebuild and next flight...you might want to replace the RX ..I would.d go for an AR620, please do let us know what you end up doing...

      Hi Martyn, yes i think something got in the motor… maybe a 🐠 or seaweed🤣 i really think it was the 2 receiver wires together. I always spread them out according to instructions. It was a nice crash & i did not panic knowing roughly where it was. My more expensive models i have a ‘tile’ ( tracker) in each . More videos on the way. Keep safe & well bro

      I found it easy to watch Nick… especially A: when i found it & 2: apart from the clean break, an easy fix.

    @patrickdavidokeeffe 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Aw man! At least it is a clean break and should be easy enough to repair. Did you check the motor bearings? Maybe that was the strange noises it was making in flight?

      Hi Patrick
      At the end of the video i tried the motor and all sounded great. Maybe a leaf was caught in it.
      I will check carefully before repairing

    Dam that was carnage.....
    That motor did sound as rough as a badgers tongue.. Perhaps the crash dislodged what ever it was. Ever thought about putting a fine mesh on the intakes air In crap out...
    GET them sticks out and grab the hot glue.... She be right

    I crashed my Marlin a few weeks ago. My fuselage aslo broke in half but before the wing. The nose was also badly crushed. Didn't think i was gonna repair it but decided to try. It now looks like an old boxer who lost too many fights ( the nose is very crooked) but actually still flies straight.

      G’day Brad, yes they seem to fly as good if not better after a decent crash. Love the Marlin, i eventually sold it & bought another.

    Was it using a as3x or safe receiver? Saw it going through cycles as you powered it on

      G’day Ben . It was a brown out/ loss of signal for some strange reason. Such a great jet the i bought another on Amazon Australia. I fitted it with a Vector Gyro. Many thanks for watching

    • @Bellairvideo

      Here is the new marlin Ben. I think this time it was a Reflex gyro from FMS

    • @prowlus
      @prowlus ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Bellairvideo i hope that doesn’t happen on mine . my one uses the ar367t with integrated gyro on it . Could the signals from the rx to the gyro be responsible? being that any movement must go through two units instead of one ?

      I normally use the AR 630 or 7 butvhave not ad any problems prior or since

    Typical, it had to miss the soft bushes 😬

    • @Bellairvideo
      @Bellairvideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Funny you should say that Cliff. A while ago i flew my Viper at the same beach & as the battery was getting low & coming in to land some dogs kept chasing each time i attempted to land…. Then the aircraft ran out of power & went in. Over 2 hrs i looked for the wreckage & getting dark, i went to leave. I suddenly thought of trying the throttle, i could hear the jet right near the car in a flat tree. It had glided into the only nice soft tree without a mark! So that time a soft bush saved my plane. I now fit them eith a gps tile locator
