I have a 2013 gt500 with just over 700whp that I daily drive. It has been driven across the country on multiple occasions and currently has 112,000 miles. It’s incredibly reliable and hasn’t lost its wow factor when going full throttle. Not worried about the value of it because this will be one of the cars I keep. All around great car that I encourage people to experience.
Give this another 10 years. Right now these are in that weird "it's just a used car" position. Real car guys know it's special but even the 2004 Cobras don't command much money and the story behind the terminator is fascinating.
crazy look at what Fox body are going for now, growing up those were $19k junk boxes we would buy to drag race at Englishtown and they were so easy to mod. I hope these 14 GT500 start going up soon because these are really great cars to drive and own.
Im 23 now & I had planned on buying my first Termi cobra at this exact age when I was 18 (5 yrs ago) when they were 17-30k now a beat up used one goes for 23k. Absurd.
I Say Just Let The Real Enthusiast’s That Know What It’s Worth And What It Is Enjoy Them For The Price They Are Currently. Why Is It A Problem To You That It’s Not Crazy “EXPENSIVE”?? I Say Let It Be Cheap And Be Able To Eat Up Hellcats And ZL1’s.
My father ordered his 14 GT500 brand new same color and convertible no less. Badass car and he loves it. Incredible experience laying into the throttle with the air moving right above you. It’ll be a long time before I inherit that beauty. For now I’ll enjoy my 85 GT also his old car, he seems to have an eye for things that are great.
I’ve never really been a Mustang guy, but the 2013-2014 body style really did it for me. And 662HP with a 200MPH top speed, how can you hate it? I plan on buying a used Giulia QV some time next year, but owning this car would be special, especially considering they go for the same price as a used QV.
very different experiences for sure I get to drive them all and i love switching up cars so often daily or weekly. QV is great it is now 4 years owning my own and il have a video up soon on this because it is the longest i ever owned a car in my life.
If they go for the same price, why not say Fuck the QV and go for the Shelby? A year ago when I bought a 2022 Corolla Hatchback with a 6 speed manual, I had no idea that a used 2011 Cadillac CTSV went for the same price, and yes. I wish I went for the used Cadillac instead of the new Toyota. Food for thought.
Exactly!!! I'm 65 and have many classic Mustangs. I"m tired of working on the old stuff and just bought a 2012 3.7 MANUAL Last WEEK!!! ....What a Bat out of HELL. Now I'm looking for my Shelby after seeing this vid. Thank YOU !!!
Got my 2013 GT500 with 6k miles almost two years ago now, after about two years waiting for the perfect one to come up. The car is just special and if you don’t respect it, it’ll bite your head off 😂
The market is definitely up on these fairly substantially. I bought a 13 GT500 with 15,000 miles on it back in 2016 for 43k. The car was almost flawless and probably 20k cheaper then I can get it for now. Clean ones look to be selling for 55-60k somewhat regularly. I like the spec on your car! I had the white with red strip, Recaros, SVT performance pkg, track pkg, shaker 1000 and no glass roof. Great cars and with a good driver this is a respectable road course car. These cars went under 7:40 on the nurburgring!
Great video. Hard to add much to your comments… your take is spot on in every respect. I had a GT350 for 3 years … and after selling it, I was lucky to find my perfect ‘14 GT500 with 2900 miles two years ago. As great as the gt350 was, the gt500 is way more fun to drive. And yes super comfortable, no squeaks, rattles etc. My only gripe was the stock Goodyears that were dangerous for street driving … fixed that with Michelin PS4S all around which transformed the car completely. No plans to sell mine - I’ve owned a lot of cars and this one is truly special… guess because I am a true muscle car guy!
hey thanks for watching and sharing, I started this channel 4 years ago regarding the GT350 ownership because I talked about it in so many videos that the GT350 is not for everyone and a true muscle car guy really wont love it or miss it and your a good example of that. We replaced the Goodyears those tires are horrible and dangerous on the street. new tires transformed the car to be much safer to drive. I love all of these cars and it is great to own, drive, modify, service, detail and share this with everyone on this platform. I still can not believe how the GT500 is tight as a drum still and my GT350R makes so many interior noises that it drives me insane chasing them down. Also the S197 model year 2014 the paint and build quality is far superior to any S550 still to this day it seems Ford really got it right on he last model run of these cars. They should be ashamed how poorly they build the S550 from 2014-2022 the paint and fit and finish reminds me of the 1965 models.
Just bought my 2014 SVT Shelby GT500 today with 17k miles for $58k. It’s bone stock and I plan to keep it that way. I was not expecting to buy a car today. But there it was, I was there, My wife was there and she loved it. And I gotta say I am loving the reviews on this thing! And dude I love your enthusiasm!! Such a Great review!
In the future there will be 5 main cars that bring money from 1994-2022. 94/00 Cobra R, 03/04 Terminator, 12/13 Boss 302, 13 GT500 and 19/20 GT350R. In my eyes, everything else will be up or down but these 5 are the big winners. The 2013 GT500 is the last true Shelby ever made. It's the last manual GT500 and first Mustang to break 200mph. The market will fluctuate but this car is it.
I have a 2013 GT 500 and it is one of the cleanest ones out there with 20,000 miles on it. Not a scratch on it in or out. I briefly considered selling it and went to the dealer and they offered me 29,000 for it. I just laughed and walked out. I decided I am going to keep it from now on. But I just don’t see how they will not go up in value. Especially one that is stock and hasn’t been modded or wrecked.
Owning an 14 GT 500 with just under 23 000 miles, it is such an awesome car to drive but man value of low mileage ones will probably shoot up. Like you said thats one exhilarating car absolutely love it, thank you for giving credit to this beast of a car. I'm not quite sure how reliable that source is, I have a certificate that say it's one of about 4800 with that engine/transmission code, probably meaning they made about 4800 5.8L V8 GT500.
13-14 gt500 was truly a remarkable car I almost got one with 10k miles for 46k (I'm stupid for not buying it), but it was the 03-04 terminator Cobras that really allowed the average blue collar guys to get their hands on a great muscle car experience. Back when I was in high school the parking lot was filled with 88-93 fox bodies but when i finally got my eyes on a 93 Cobra I was sold, it was so much cooler than just a 5.0 fox.
I bought my 2013 GT500 with 7900 miles on it in February for 69,000. I'm not sure about now, but back then, you couldn't find one for much cheaper. I looked around today, and couldn't find any 13/14's in the 40 range. Even Bringatrailer sells them for a lot more. Granted, mine has the performance package, Track package, electronics package, navigation package PLUS a glass roof. It is in really good condition and I feel like it was worth the money I paid. I've wanted one since they came out in 2007. It's fantastic finally being able to own and drive one. If you can afford one, buy it!
nice to hear when I had this one for sale months back and in 2021 it was nothing but lowball dreamers with no money offering mid 50s and this has less miles than the one you bought and all the same options. there are some on the market currently priced all over but not sure how many are selling these days. There is a new gray one with no miles on Ebay for 75k currently. surprised nobody grabbed it yet.
@@autofanaticcars Well your video was awesome and showed our cars in a great light. Mine is the opposite color of yours, white with the impact blue stripe. I took it out this morning and it is my anti-depressant. I can't stop smiling when I drive it. I hope to be able to keep mine forever. I'm 61 and think it was worth the wait for such a great machine. If you're ever in western Colorado, drop me a note. I'll take you on a very picturesque drive of southwestern Colorado and we could stop in at Gateway to see the awesome auto museum there. They have the first 2013 GT500 made. Again, thanks for great video!
I was actually looking at these 2 years ago and these have gone up in value quite a bit since Covid. Plus you have the best color combo. I think these will drop in value when the market does but will end up holding its value over time as to compared to their original msrp. These are selling about the same price they sold when new.
I just viewed your older video. Very nicely done. You're spot on. I special ordered mine knowing what you're stating years later. I didn't buy for investment. I bought for the unique privilege of ownership. Although I will sell one day, I at least wanted to say I owned one. And luckily according to Marti reports, mines one of one. Thanks👍😃
I've owned one 5.0 1990 Fx Body GT. Cobalt Blue in 94, I was 20 yrs old stationed at Langley AFB and bought it from a one owner on Little Creek Rd. I miss that thang. Now I want THIS ONE PERIOD and I'm 50 now 😂😂. I'm def getting one. Thanks for posting this vid bro. I just subscribed! 10/11/23 813 pm est.
Agreed. Great video. Ive had my 2012 convertible for 7 years and love it. Mine is white with black stripes. Looks mean all stock. They have gone up some in value so Im happy. Will keep it forever.
My '13 GT500 is on a boat headed back to FL from Germany. For 6 years she loved life on the autobahns. I never quite got used to passing the Polizei and they don't come after me. Mine is not going anywhere. I do want to get a 19 or 20 GT350 as a companion car. Eventually both cars will go to our two sons. I have about 5 years before that happens. Great video!
Thank you for putting this video out. I agree with you 1,000%, and it’s why I recently jumped at the opportunity to buy a 2008 Shelby GT500 with only 12,000 original miles. My next target is a low mile 2013 Boss 302 Laguna Seca in Black. Hopefully people continue to sleep on them, so the prices stay affordable…at least for another year or two 😎
I owed a 2013 GT500 for 3 years . loved it! i traded for a 2017 GT350 back at the beginning of 2018. as much as i miss the 500, i would not trade back. i wish i could have kept both but that would mean i would need to get rid of my 65 Fastback. ( which will not ever happen) . it took me 6 months of going back n forth on IF i should make the swap. I think i watched every gt350 video on the internet. This channel helped a TON on making the final decision as well. what it was for me is really just the huge tech difference's. the S197 was extremely dated with tech inside. another reason is my wife never really cared for the 500 and never wanted to drive it, for some reason she liked the 350 a lot better and still occasionally drives it from time to time. both bad ass cars, totally different animals in every way honestly
the one thing that really sucks on the S197 is the lack of parking sensors and backup camera it is very easy to forget what car your in and hit something. the tech was dated for sure in that regard. they are both totally different cars for almost different purposes and driving roads I like both but if I had to choose one that would depend on my driving roads and how much I can use the car. the GT500 is more usable on my NY broken roads where as my GT350R is very rough on your entire body just cruising down the road. IRS helped with cornering and grip but Ford really could have done a much better job with ride comfort and spring and shock tuning where as the Camaro and Dodge cars are so much more livable.
I remember as a kid having a bedroom poster of this car which is one of my dream car but in white with black stripes plus this car is underrated because it's the last proper mustang of the old school era. Plus the 2013 - 2014 GT500s are really rare compared to the likes of the GT350/GT350R which you see quite alot. The 2013 - 2014 GT500 is rare because it only had a production line of 2 years. Plus the GT350/GT350R production line was from 2016 to 2020. Don't get me wrong those cars are beautiful and amazing. But i will always pick the 2013 GT500 over it plus it was the last car Carroll Shelby worked on and saw before he passed away in 2012.
You are definitely correct about people needing to respect the power, mustangs get a bad wrap because people just but them and think they’re a professional driver all of a sudden. You have to know both your limits and the cars. Like you briefly showed, you can’t just floor it out of a corner or mid corner. That being said, the older live axels are fun if you know how to properly control it. One of the last true embodiments of an old school muscle car. Wish I could afford one of those before they go for crazy money.
Great video and I agree on all accounts! I have owned a few great mustangs. All seem to put a smile on my face just when I think I'm going to sell them, go drive it and I change my mind. The 2013 I had was a modified absolute beast! The power was insane! I enjoyed driving it and it is an experience like no other. However I like lighter cars that handle the curves with ease and are just as comfortable. The GT500 was very comfortable but feels heavy and has to work hard to stop. I drove mine for 4 years and made money so I'm happy but I'm moving on
2014 GT/CS here. I've had most of the recent late model mustangs from fox bodies forward. This this car and the s197 chassis is by for the best to drive and mod. The 3rd link SRA feels amazing and prefer the feel over IRS cars. Bought the car well cared for with 150k miles for $12k and it hasent skipped a beat. Now aproaching 170k miles.
These cars might seem undervalued now, but their true worth will be recognized in the future. Just wait until the kids who once owned and loved these cars grow older and seek to recapture their youthful memories. That's when the market will truly appreciate these timeless classics.
Thank you for a nice video, and your honest opinion on the gt 500 i stay in north Carolina and a dealership in concord has 4,14 gt 500 you have convinced me to go and buy one i love a manual shift it what a muscle car should drive like.
thanks I love the Boss 302 i almost bought one many times years back those cars are fun and a bit easier to drive fast with the less power but Ford SVT really did some incredible engineering on the 2014 GT500 the chassis feels so well balanced and controlled.
I have a 13 GT500 . I don't know if you have any more of the 350 wheels sitting around if you do I would love to see you experiment with the GT500 with those wheels.
I have a 2013 GT500 with about 20k miles on it... I bought it 3 years ago with 7700 miles on it, so I've driven it. Mountain driving, too.. and everything this guy says is 100% true! It's an amazing car! I also have a 2018 Mustang GT that I use as a track car. There is very little that I like more about the GT than the GT500. The GT500 is easier to drive, easier to heel & toe downshift, and the maintenance is WAY easier. Changing the oil on the GT is always a very messy situation with that stupid little door that always gets in the way and the plastic drain plug that only turns 1/2 a turn before it's spitting oil everywhere. The GT500 is just... easier. The only thing that the GT has over it is the handling with the IRS. That's it. The GT500 is freaking FAST, and you have to do quite a lot to make a regular GT as fast. You can't just bolt on a supercharger or a turbo charger.. you have to get the cooling worked out as well... and the clutch... and the axles... all of the things that the GT500 has already. And you know what? The GT500 is arguably a better looking car.
Dont forget this is also the last manual gt500. I picked up an 07 GT500 with low miles last year and love it. I traded my 2015 S550 GT for it cause the new mustangs no longer have the raw muscle car feel. The solid axle is done so well on these and it grips way better off the line than my irs gt did. I also prefer the hydraulic steering of mine over the new electric steering that felt a bit disconnected from the road in my s550.
Your story is almost the exact same as mine! I went from a 2015 GT PP car, to a 2008 C6, then to my 2008 GT500. The new Mustang is way too refined like the Vette. The GT500 is raw, "I want to kill you if you touch that pedal too much" kind of car. Love it! Mine already came with pulley, tune, intake, 3.73s so I gained about 100hp as well so its not much of a fair fight. The nice thing is the GT500 was cheaper and I love the S197 style best. :D
Once the market bottoms out I’m buying the cleanest C5 or C6 Z06, or possibly a viper. Don’t think the vipers will ever really come down in price except for the death trap from the 90’s
I feel like hellcats overshadow the younger generation that’s into cars nowadays. Real car guys will always respect mustangs. The original muscle car. 💪
Keeping them a secret! One local to me has been sitting on the lot for 3 years. 08 with 45k miles for 29k?! Honestly may jump on it as I'm looking to upgrade.
I had a 2012 gt500 vert 3.73 rear. Was a great car. Sold it. I had the 2013 gt500 coupe with minor work. Added another 100hp and torque. The 13 had a 330 rear and the gearing is spread out so far. Its a monster of a car. Very quick and pulled up top so hard forever. Awes[ome car. Buy one now cause soon theyll be hard to get.
I've been eyeing these for my next car. I've owned a 19GT with a Whipple and loved the car with 750 WHP but I'm looking for a more muscle feel and I think this is it.
Great vid thanks man. I traded my 15 S550 mustang GT for a low mile 07 GT500. Granted it has less hp than the 13-14s but I like its look and its crazy just a smaller pulley and some air intake stuff and it makes over 600 horses on the stock blower. It has super charger whine too - Ford seems to be dulling that sound for some reason in later models.
Actually, I disagree. These cars (13-14s) did their used car slump and are now on the rise. Pre-pandemic, they were dipping into the high 40s. Now you’re lucky if you can find one under 60k. For a ten year old car to be regularly selling around its original sticker price, that’s pretty strong. I’m figuring it will only get higher over the next few years for the some of the reasons you mention. Which sucks for me, because I really had my eye on getting one, but 60s is way out of my budget. The 80s-90s Japanese sports car pricing surge you’re seeing is based more on nostalgia and rarity than performance.
I've had an 07 gt500 and a 12 gt500 now I want a 14 as the mods on the 12 pushes it to about 550 hp while the same mods to the 14 pushes it to 700. This kind of car, 700 hp 6 speed low miles for 60k is just unbelievable. R8 killer
At a recent Mecum, a '14 GT500 Convertible, with very low miles (under 1000), went for $140,000 + the buyer's premium ($14,000). I have a'13 GT500 convertible with 14,xxx miles. It is still the most powerful American convertible ever made. I've had 8 Mustang convertibles, including an '04 Terminator, and this the best by far. I'll likely never well this car.
I just think it's the presence of the new GT500. Take the two cars you named early in the video. The 300ZX and Supra. Neither have worthy successors. Some might say the new Supra is worthy, but for the most part the market says otherwise. I am a huge fan of the 2013-14, but the handling on the new GT500 can't be passed up. I agree on your definition of true muscle car. The 2013-14 is closer to the 60's GT500 than the new Shelby. Also, hard to look past the manual.
I have some older muscle cars that I was thinking of selling or trading for one of these. I was a test driver at ford when these came out. Very fun cars. I hope to get one someday
It’s surprising that these cars aren’t going for more. My local dealer had one up for $52k originally. A couple of months later the price was $42K. Don’t know what it ended up selling for. It looked a lot the one in your video but it was red. It had 4,200 miles on the odometer. Thought about buying it but I had no room for it in my garage. The lack of sales may have to do with the fact that only 18 percent of our population knows how to drive a manual. The 18 percent that know how to drive a stick and are Shelby fans probably prefer an S550 GT350.
yes America has become the laziest society on this planet and even worse over the last 2.5 years with nobody wanting to work or do anything anymore let alone shift gears. such a shame what happened to our culture in short time. I think all of these cars whether S197 or S550 should be enjoyed by all sorts of enthusiasts because of the manual gearboxes.
I agree with your perspective sir & also absolutely love my 2014 GT500 Track-Pack 🍻 To answer your question.... In 2014 Shelby only made 4,816 coupes (doesn't seem like that many to me). My car is # 207 of 600 in Sterling Gray Metallic.
5000 in 2013 and about 5200 in 2014. 3820lb car They have gone up somewhat but flat lined. I’m still waiting for mine to go up over 6 figures like you 😎
I have a twin of this car that I bought new. Don't drive it much, just cruise around once in a while. It has the most marvelous sound. It would be nice if it appreciates in value, but I'll never sell it anyway.
You have nailed it. I am glad I that I wasn't the only one thinking those things. I have had a '14 GT500 triple black since new. In early '21 picked up a '20 GT350. I wasn't disappointed as it was a well mannered sports car. At that point I realized I was a die hard muscle car guy. Early '21 one of the cars had to go. It was a no brainier that the 350 would be one to go. Why are the '13 and '14 so undervalued. I suspect it will go by the way of the 69, 70 Boss 429. Compared to today up until 7-10 years ago the Boss 429 was undervalued for what it was. Look at them today one has to be a millionaire to have a Boss. To your question how many were built. Mine was 2247 of 4816 and 791 of 1656 in black. BTW the '14 is a hoot on the track. I do about 4 days a year. If it was me I would dump the R and get a '21 or 22 GT500. Thats the direction I am going.
you're 100% right it's a different crowd for the GT500 and the GT350R. I have a totally different sound preference for my exhaust while they like the over the top glassy edge tone. If I could have the sound of my 93 Cobra/40 Series 2.5" Flowmasters back I would. I think 350R'ers have to have that new tech that is more like a video game player style car. Set it and forget it where in real life you have to "drive" a GT500 more and know the car to enjoy it. I love em both but my dream cars right now 2010-14 GT500,2013 BOSS 302 LeGuna Seca,2011-2014 GT/CS,and a Q50 RS400 AWD for the family. I'd also take a RAM 1500 Sport Crew Cab 4x4 for the family. The girls like power, fun, and car shows.
A muscle car in simple terms is "The biggest engine block you can stick in a coupe". And to me personally muscle cars really kicked off in the 70's idk maybe I'm wrong 🤷♂️
Great video...I purchased a black with black stripe 2014 example with 979 miles for 65k earlier this year and I too believe these will bring 100k at some point in the near future. Until then I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it and see what happens!
Great video! You are so right! I grew up w fox Saleens and just traded in a 911 for a 2013 Boss 302 and could not be happier! My best friend has the 14 GT500 and it is scary!
I think these cars are going to be about 10 years behind what the Terminators are doing at the moment. The Terminators had their lull moment in the mid-late 2010s, when you could pick up a clean low-mileage car in the mid $20k's, now those same cars are worth $40k. These cars might be in that area now or approaching. I don't think values will diminish much, or at all, considering that most manufacturers will not be making manual v8 sports cars much longer.
Loved the video coverage, this has been my dream car for the past 2+ years and after the September debut for the dark horse (primarily because it’s manual with 500hp) I’m absolutely torn between the two.
I have a 2014 GT500,and it looks way better than this new ford performance gt500!!The manual and that 5.8 is a monster!!The 13-14 GT500 is the last real SHELBY from the factory.
I agree sorta reminds of the real Shelby Mustangs from 1965-1968 then it was just a Trim Package for 69-71 where Shelby had no real involvement in the cars then.
I have a '13 GT500 Convertible and absolutely the 13/14 are the end of an era. A lot will fight you on calling it a Muscle Car. Supposedly it's a Pony Car by the purists. So glad I got one of the last live rear axle, manual shift, convertible production Shelby vehicles produced. Hope to have it until my grave...
Same here, mine is a 14 convertible and I don't ever see myself selling this car I bought it a year ago today as an investment. Last of the manual/live axle/show Shelby cars!
Bought mine new 2014. Only has 2490 miles on it. Loaded with all options including the Track-Pac. I have all of the factory documentation. Its Red and a Convertible. And its For Sale.
They don't make them like this anymore. If you get a 2010-2014 Shelby, you will want to drive it everywhere. Amazing car and incredibly fun to drive. If you want to make full use of its horsepower, upgrade the suspension and tires for better traction.
Simply because they are still making them and the Mustang market is as vibrant now as it was in 2014. I do agree this is an extraordinary performance bargain.
Kids of disagree. Yes the mustang is still being made but the s550 is such a visual departure from the s197 making it essentially a different car. That's the beautiful thing about mustangs every different gen looks like a different car ( s650 bing the exception) 😆
you can not continue in California you know why it is only going to get worse which is why so many are fleeing CA and NY and the reason we are leaving here as well ASAP.
I think it’s mostly about handling. Shelby GT350 is the only all around driver’s car Ford has ever built. This Shelby competes with the dodge and Chevy muscle cars and will never be anything more than a drag oriented car. This Shelby does have the edge in that the engine is more legendary and reliable. Could mean GT350s hit a huge drop due to unreliable engines and these shoot up.
The S550 is just an all around better car, and newer, so I'm not surprised that this car isn't getting the same attention. However, with Dodge going away, I imagine this classic muscle style will quickly become a lot more desirable.
the new ones may be better but the older ones are easier to drive and more comfortable to drive more often. the S550 is a great platform for handling and grip but not great for ride comfort which I wish they did a better job on.
@@autofanaticcars Yea, they were just focused on performance. I think the people looking for more comfort and easy drives are more likely to get a regular Mustang. I think that the true muscle car segment was very well covered by the Hellcat.
04 Cobra Owner here, the reason this car does not sale, people r just not into them, like and 03/04 Cobra, just the facts, great car yes, but the market is not there for them....
I've daily driven a 2013 GT 500 for years. Zero complaints. The redesign in 2015 lost me, not a Mustang IMO. I fail to understand why Ford, like Porsche, didn't evolve the design as opposed to changing it every five or so years. Does a 911 look dated?
Everyone talks about the Hellcat but no one talks about how this beast is the reason the Hellcat exist. Crazy thing is, the GT500 is as fast as an automatic 2015 Hellcat if you know how to drive it.
If I ever manage to get lucky enough to buy one of these, it'll be the 6 speed convertible, in black with no stripes, or this deep blue+white stripes combo. Maybe one day 😂
One on mecum literally just sold for 143k. Fact is, the car is 9 years old, its not going to bring crazy numbers yet. Its kinda ridiculous to expect high numbers right now.

I don't know how I missed it but I had NO idea you even owned this car. I knew you had the GT350R and your videos on that have my interest peaked in one of those. Somehow I have missed this car in your collection.
All around great car that I encourage people to experience.
awesome to hear you actually enjoy yours so much
If you don’t mind me asking, what do you have done to it?
Does it do alright in the rain if you drive it easy ?
I just bought mine. Garage queen with only 14.5k miles. For now. Lol
@@sirjoshuafawnot at all… this isn’t an independent suspension… it’s live axle… 👌 very fishtaily but it’s fun to drive
At this point they are holding value extremely well. For a car less than ten years old it’s not bad. Young man, be patient.
55k.. Under valued.. Yea... 👌
The car is just special and if you don’t respect it, it’ll bite your head off 😂
awesome

Bought myself a 2013 GT500 a couple years ago and I love every time I get behind the wheel.
I just bought my 2014 with 14.5k miles for $56.5k
@@matthewmcmahon1541are you enjoying it & have you opened it up yet???

@@autofanaticcars ONE THING I WILL SAY IS THE 13 14 SUPER SNAKES ARE NO LONGER UNDER VALUED LOL THE PRICES ARE GOING UP VERY FAST.
Awesome enjoy it
The 2014 Gt500 is my dream car. That body and kona blue color is a match made in heaven 💙
Same here
In the future there will be 5 main cars that bring money from 1994-2022. 94/00 Cobra R, 03/04 Terminator, 12/13 Boss 302, 13 GT500 and 19/20 GT350R.
Especially one that is stock and hasn’t been modded or wrecked.
yeah typical dealer screw ball offer you 29k then will put on his lot for $59k
These cars have exactly the right blend of old school and new tech. Low mileage, stock examples should be bringing six figures before long.
4816 Coupes, 914 Convertibles
13-14 gt500 was truly a remarkable car I almost got one with 10k miles for 46k (I'm stupid for not buying it), but it was the 03-04 terminator Cobras that really allowed the average blue collar guys to get their hands on a great muscle car experience. Back when I was in high school the parking lot was filled with 88-93 fox bodies but when i finally got my eyes on a 93 Cobra I was sold, it was so much cooler than just a 5.0 fox.
I still want a 93 Cobra but prices are insane now for good ones i think I missed the boat on those
I bought my 2013 GT500 with 7900 miles on it in February for 69,000.
Love mine too. All original. Only 5k miles on it. We’ll see how this goes, I also predicted a huge increase in value over the next few years.
yeah this is why I made this video to discuss how undervalued they are when people are overpaying for mass produced Dodges and Camaros still.

My dream car. I had a s197 5.0 and loved it can only imagine what this is like
I owed a 2013 GT500 for 3 years . loved it! i traded for a 2017 GT350 back at the beginning of 2018. as much as i miss the 500, i would not trade back. i wish i could have kept both but that would mean i would need to get rid of my 65 Fastback.
Got mine new in March 2013 as a 2014 MY. I won't get rid of it. It's special!
Just bought a 2013 gt500. Candy red metallic. Svt package, navigation, track pack, shaker 1000 system. 1700 miles. Should be here any day.
Great video! I hope you can get your hands on a boss 302 someday to compare them. The 13/14 S197s styling is timeless!.
thanks I love the Boss 302 i almost bought one many times years back those cars are fun and a bit easier to drive fast with the less power but Ford SVT really did some incredible engineering on the 2014 GT500 the chassis feels so well balanced and controlled.
I have a 13 GT500 . I don't know if you have any more of the 350 wheels sitting around if you do I would love to see you experiment with the GT500 with those wheels.
I've had mine since 2013 (2014 MY). I LOVE mine! 19k miles on it now.
The GT500 is arguably a better looking car.
yeah the Gt500 is such a great car and very usable car glad your enjoying yours
Dont forget this is also the last manual gt500. I picked up an 07 GT500 with low miles last year and love it. I traded my 2015 S550 GT for it cause the new mustangs no longer have the raw muscle car feel. The solid axle is done so well on these and it grips way better off the line than my irs gt did. I also prefer the hydraulic steering of mine over the new electric steering that felt a bit disconnected from the road in my s550.
thanks for sharing your ownership experience with us
Your story is almost the exact same as mine!
Pony car* the GTO was the original muscle car.
Keeping them a secret! One local to me has been sitting on the lot for 3 years. 08 with 45k miles for 29k?! Honestly may jump on it as I'm looking to upgrade.
The 08 is nothing close to the 13/14. Tho the 08 is still cool.
I just got a 2013 grabber blue 8k miles. If you know then you know when it comes to these cars at the moment. Hidden gems
Awesome enjoy it
You are spot on my friend. On the market for one now.
White Line Watts Link in the rear end, solves wheel hop 100% , centers rear diff.....if your a canyon carver.....approx $1500
13-14 Shelby GT 500 is LEGEND!
I hope to get one someday
get one now before the market wakes up and these become out of reach in the future
@@autofanaticcars I would like to get in touch with you sometime
I agree with your perspective sir & also absolutely love my 2014 GT500 Track-Pack 🍻
To answer your question.... In 2014 Shelby only made 4,816 coupes (doesn't seem like that many to me). My car is # 207 of 600 in Sterling Gray Metallic.
thanks for posting that into

I have a twin of this car that I bought new. Don't drive it much, just cruise around once in a while. It has the most marvelous sound. It would be nice if it appreciates in value, but I'll never sell it anyway.
awesome and keep enjoying yours
As for why they aren't more popular, my first thought would be that they were the last years before they went to IRS.
Thats the direction I am going.
thanks for sharing your ownership with all of us here. we will see what happens soon on these cars
you're 100% right it's a different crowd for the GT500 and the GT350R.
For me 2013-14 modern mustang this gen is the best
Great video! You are so right! I grew up w fox Saleens and just traded in a 911 for a 2013 Boss 302 and could not be happier! My best friend has the 14 GT500 and it is scary!
Boss 302 are awesome 😎
This car is totally undervalued all years
I have a '13 GT500 Convertible and absolutely the 13/14 are the end of an era. A lot will fight you on calling it a Muscle Car. Supposedly it's a Pony Car by the purists. So glad I got one of the last live rear axle, manual shift, convertible production Shelby vehicles produced. Hope to have it until my grave...
Well said!
Same here, mine is a 14 convertible and I don't ever see myself selling this car I bought it a year ago today as an investment. Last of the manual/live axle/show Shelby cars!
I've a 14....best hot rod I've ever owned, church.
The 2014 supersnake is my dream car... wish it was still being made
there are a few Super Snakes for sale i hear for around 100K
Currently in the market for one, so don’t go driving the prices up lol. Great vid!
ha ha i wish these would go up in value sooner than later but if you find the one you want buy it now if you can.
BOOOM REQUIS! THE DEMI-GAWD!
Aside from 67-68. The 2013-14 is the nicest year for Mustang.
I have a 2014 just bought it this August ! I like mine better without the Navigation system. Looks more old school. Can't go wrong!
thats neat i never saw one of these without the navigation
@@autofanaticcars Mine has none or power seats. Pumps up or down, then slides back and forth.
I’m pretty aggravated about the EPA, currently in Sacramento regular gallon of gas is 670😡
you can not continue in California you know why it is only going to get worse which is why so many are fleeing CA and NY and the reason we are leaving here as well ASAP.
Love this car!! Soon as I get my $ I’m calling you and buying both your cars! 😎🇺🇸
@@autofanaticcars
Yea, they were just focused on performance. I think the people looking for more comfort and easy drives are more likely to get a regular Mustang. I think that the true muscle car segment was very well covered by the Hellcat.
awesome review! I plan on getting a 2011-2012 gt500 next year, super excited to own one!
if you can spring for a 13 or 14 they do feel much better in the handling and build quality with updates they did on the last cycle
@@autofanaticcars i appreciate the information! hopefully i can, its quite a price jump lol
Undervalued by people who don't know! Love my S197 GT500!
04 Cobra Owner here, the reason this car does not sale, people r just not into them, like and 03/04 Cobra, just the facts, great car yes, but the market is not there for them....
I have a black one, love it. Idk if I should sell it or hold on to it and pass it down to my son one day.
Keep it there never coming back and will be future classics
What are you trying to sell it?? Maybe i missed it
I've daily driven a 2013 GT 500 for years. Zero complaints. The redesign in 2015 lost me, not a Mustang IMO. I fail to understand why Ford, like Porsche, didn't evolve the design as opposed to changing it every five or so years. Does a 911 look dated?
Is the car still for sale?
Everyone talks about the Hellcat but no one talks about how this beast is the reason the Hellcat exist. Crazy thing is, the GT500 is as fast as an automatic 2015 Hellcat if you know how to drive it.
exactly
I have one with 5,000 miles I’m my garage right now!! Same color as yours I love it
very cool Deep Impact blue is really rare on these as the abundance seem to be black, gray, silver and reds.
@@autofanaticcars yes sir! Absolutely my most prized possession and it helps that it is a blast to drive
2014 Shelby GT500 Production Numbers: 4,816 Coupes, 914 Convertibles, Totaling 5,730.
I still want to buy that car from you, talked to you a year ago. Still have it?
We are no longer selling it kinda glad we didn’t now
@@autofanaticcars don't blame you 👍
If I ever manage to get lucky enough to buy one of these, it'll be the 6 speed convertible, in black with no stripes, or this deep blue+white stripes combo.
Maybe one day 😂
Let’s not forget it’s the last Shelby that carol himself had input on.
One on mecum literally just sold for 143k. Fact is, the car is 9 years old, its not going to bring crazy numbers yet. Its kinda ridiculous to expect high numbers right now.
I have a2013 s197 gt premium black 4inch cowl hood boss 302 intake long tube 178 headers 3inch exhaust with magna flowmufflers with quad tips 373 rear 3 inch core radiator with k&n cold air intake 20inch roush rims tune 6speed manual. After market ford raceing suspension.
Looks at mine. Smiles.
I don't know how I missed it but I had NO idea you even owned this car. I knew you had the GT350R and your videos on that have my interest peaked in one of those. Somehow I have missed this car in your collection.
i do not show all the cars i own on the channel
got a 2013 boss 302, and i'm still likely going to pick up a 2014 gt500 soon enough.
