Some of my video scans gave this top third of the screen issue too. Skin tones become magenta and the blue gets this awesome green, and green grass will turn blue. It doesn't happen on all my tapes

Wow, this led me to look up the whole Ted Danson Whoopi Goldberg moment. Made me irtitated at Whoopi even more more bc of how offended she is by everything now lol. But at the end of my research I did come across this that pertains to your upload!! "Bill Maher’s Comedy Central show Politically Incorrect had made its debut that summer, and Maher, ever desperate to the play the provocateur, defended Danson’s routine. “The whole point of a Friars roast is to be over the line, to be distasteful,” he told the Washington Post. “If [Goldberg] enjoyed it, that’s all that mattered. If she wanted to see her boyfriend in blackface, that’s all that mattered.” So the point of the routine was to provoke the audience, he suggested, but also that audience should have interpreted the routine as a private act and therefore not taken offense."
I've been binging The Good Place so, I had to laugh when they were wondering about the the future career of Ted Danson. Also, I totally remember when watching tv with this bad of reception wouldn't phase me at all but now I almost turned it off because of quality alone.
This is a vhs taping that was aged, and that magenta and green tint you see is not natural.. I'm experiencing that from my computer digitizing it too. It's not on my original tapes. I'm hoping this channel figured it out and can help me lol

It's a warn out tape... prob taped in slp 6hr. TV never had pixelization or bad sound.
