I find she reminds me of a love I had/ shared with this beautiful woman. Saddly it burned bright and faded. While it lasted it was pure heaven. I love the collabaration between Bennit and Gaga. Unforgettable!

What a darling man Tony Bennett is - Lady Gaga said in an interview with him that he is the perfect gentlemen; he has that rare ability to reach right into the souls of people - Lady Gaga was so emotional. The part where she cried and he gently dabbed her tears with his handkerchief I cried too...
Colum Rogers Yeah! It surprised me too but maybe it's because we judge people only by what we see or what they dare to show and then someone like Tony Bennett comes along and peels back all those layers we use as armour against the world - his gentle hand and loving heart allow you to trust him enough to expose your naked heart.
***** I wish there were more Tony Bennetts in this world he reminds you what life is really all about to be more caring and accepting and less judgemental - god bless you
You can see vulnerability on her sweet face. What a soulful, beautiful, extraordinarily talented and wonderful woman you are Stephanie. Their performance is but beautiful. Tony has been my favorite for years...his phrasing is amazing. I love you Tony Bennett. Your interpretation of music touches my heart and Soul.
For the first time I think Gaga is being honest with her soul and passion towards music, this isn't flop, it's matured and seductive jazzy..I kinda like it though, the best feeling when u get to listen to jazz,it takes you way back to 50s 60s the sexiest era of all time...and she did it! she brought back those feeling just like an old time..

Really? All of her pop albums are deeply reflective of who she is. She's been so soulful on all of them. Even dance tunes like Lovegame and Just Dance convey her personality so vividly. They all have deeper meanings or at least are about having fun. None of her work is as shallow as people think. She's even had some soulful ballads such as "Brown Eyes," "Speechless," "Dope," and "Gypsy," Other songs she's had that really possess some emotional introspection are "Marry the Night,"," "You and I," "The Edge of Glory," "Paparazzi," "Bad Romance," and almost all of Artpop. This woman is beyond just a ditzy pop star like so many people, including critics, have mislabeled her.
Gaga is a woman who made herself as artist. She is in charge of all the empire which has been built around her. She has not needed to be a talent show reject or the daughter of a D-list celebrity to be famous.

this friendship is just so rare, the age gap and the fact that they bond so well more than most people, when tony wiped gaga’s tears😭 and then ripped her out the piece of paper with a beautiful design on it, that just made me feel so warm inside
For me? I think ?? They have that perfect match in the music and many people out there don't realize ? That Lady Gaga studied in the field of classical jazz or standards . This genre of music ? This ol native Bronx guy here? Has enjoyed over the decades the great Italian American jazz singers since I was a bambino listening on the Sunday family gatherings in My late Grandparents place in Yonkers . The greats like Sinatra ... Dino , Of course Bennett as well and Jerry Vale and a few others. But listen here . To me ? Lady Gaga's voice in these great standards in jazz? Are for me? Beyond words. For this Italian guy? The first time I heard Lady Gaga sing with Tony? I was hooked to put it? Mildly . In close here? I hope one day before I pass ? I will get the honors to see ? And hear the incredible voice of Lady Gage in person and? Perhaps be lucky to meet and shake hands with yet? Another great Native New Yorker who has graced so many with great music. Molto Bene Bella Gaga. Bellissima So if I may? This old Italian guy loves Lady Gaga and how incredible she sings . Ciao ! 😊👍
This right here is why I love this woman ! Pure emotion and chemistry....nothing fake or cheesey about this. This is what music is SUPPOSE to be about, raw emotion
two phenomenal artists. got to see Tony at the Hollywood Bowl. I understand Gaga crying. his talent was unreal and for me this song was one of his best...
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett's number one album, Cheek to Cheek is officially nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 57th GRAMMY Awards...Congratulations Gaga & Tony
what a pure joy listening to this duet : Gaga and Tony are taking us away on the sweetest velvet wings of that kinda Jazz we all love .. Gaga will always be the lady of my heart. God !! What an amazing artist !!
Her face, expressions, the voice exuding love, the energy is magical, most likely kept him alive for many years after. He loved her, she loves him. Destiny their friendship, homes close to each other in NY. Thank you for allowing my heart to open/feel. The is so beautiful here, little make up, raw Lady Gaga.
Wow!!!! When Tony dabbed her face to wipe her tear, that was just - well - more than moving. It almost brought a tear to my eye, too!! Gorgeous. So glad I stumbled on this video even though I think I've heard the audio of it once or twice! Thank you for it!!
i find it really amazing that everytime Lady Gaga sang a really sad songs or just plain emotional.. I love it how she just jumps right into that song and gave it life, like it was about her. She sang it so beautifully. I can never stop listening to her wonderful and emotional voice.
I wonder if Tony is one of the only men she truly feels safe with. I don't mean this in ANY negative way... but she's shared she had some horrific experiences. In any case, and regardless, I've been a huge fan of hers since she first "hit the big stage," and I'm awed by her range, talent, and diversity. Thank you, Lady Gaga. Oh, and DEFINITELY thanks to you, Tony. Truly the class of the Pack.
+Kody Marley Dang, I didn't know that happened to her! I'm not a fan of hers by any means, but I hate for that to happen to _anyone_, and that makes the original comment make that much more sense. I came here because I have a class project where I have to put on paper and spreadsheet how I would spend $20K on a recording studio, and jazz is my music of choice so I came here to take note of equipment I would need for such a setting. If she was coupled up with Tony Bennett, then chances were promising I would enjoy the song. ...and +toad g, even if she has not behaved like a lady, no one has *_any_* business violating her, especially anyone she works with and depends on!
My God!!! I didnt know!! How did I miss this?? Lady Gaga is absolutely beautiful!! BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I can pass on knowing ive seen the most beautiful girl in the galaxy!!! No crap, no hype!!! Shes beautiful!!!
Tony and Lady Gaga made a perfect team....also they make me proud to be Italian...lol...I'm so glad they made these wonderful recordings.....Rest In Peace Tony, I loved your music : )💜
A song from 1947 -- one of the two best collaborations by Johnny Burke & Jimmy Van Heusen. (Five years later, they would give the world their beloved “Here's That Rainy Day.”) Siriusly Sinatra satellite radio just played Lady Gaga's BUT BEAUTIFUL duet with Tony Bennett: dare I say, my “new favorite version”! First offering at TH-cam -- this one: A delightful 'live' in studio recording (nearing 5 million “views”) which features some brilliant jazz musicians with a string arrangement that could only have been by Jorge Calandrelli who has worked with Tony on a dozen previous recordings.
I'm a guitarist and that's one of my jazz heroes, Gray Sargent, who has been with Tony longer than almost any other musician in his almost seven-decade career. Love his tone-setting opening notes on this beauty. Thanks for sharing Lady Gaga. Celebrated this night at Sinatra Family - Forum - "Siriusly Sinatra" - MY FAVORITE VERSION, YOURS TOO? sinatrafamily.com/forum/showthread.php/50225-My-Favorite-Version-%28yours-too-%29?p=1288962#post1288962
I have the Cheek to Cheek CD...I'm old school....Listened to the "But Beautiful" song last night driving back from dinner and pressed rewind a few times....just GORGEOUS! Just need to find someone I would never want to let go of. LOL (-: Tony is a CLASSIC and Lady Gaga sings so beautifully with him! Saw him a few years ago...just incredible, old-school charm and a gentleman yet he's also a modern gent.
Pure magic. Listen to and watch the chemistry. She is smitten and everyone in that room knows it. I think he was, too. The handkerchief; the little painting he gave her. I hope another kind of music happened between them because if it didn't--there's something wrong with life.
This is why Lady Gaga is better than any other artist out there. She's got talent and she's got an amazing voice. She knows how to dance, perform, wear interesting outfits, she writes her own music, she produces her own music.
I have to get my daughter to make a cd for me. This music makes me mellow out and sing along with Tony. I need to play this in my car when so many A-holes keep cutting me off, ride my tail, and run red lights ! It will quell my road rage ! THANK YOU TONY & LADY GA GA !
I freaking love the passion that Lady Gaga put into singing this song! Not gonna lie I may have shed a tear or two because this song wasn't just great, but beautiful too!
This duet is the bomb! Love that part when Lady Gaga does "that would be but beautiful" lyric. Tony Bennett is the man! A legend of the Rat Pack era. He knows how jazz and standards should be sung! When Tony does that "And I'm thinking if you were mine". Their lyrical harmony and note phrasing is tight! These songs are ageless for any generation who can connect and feels the want and need of love and relationship in their lives. Love this song. when you play it it changes your whole day and can change the hope of a lonely life!
I’m only now in 2021 seeing this video. At age 76, I’ve always been aware of Tony Bennett and the era he comes from. I never knew much about Lady Gaga, but because of her collaborations with Tony, I’m becoming a huge fan. We’ve had so many great women jazz vocalists, but Lady Gaga is without a doubt the greatest. She just reaches deep deep deep into my soul just as she clearly reaches into Tony’s. I can’t get enough of her.
This song is so beautiful I can't imagine anyone else singing it Gaga and tony have so much passion together nothing or nobody can't break it apart this song is one of my favourites and every time I watch this video and hear this song I cry because of how much passion and love they put into there voices it's so amazingly beautiful I can't describe with any other word amazing song Gaga and tony I love you both so much xx
it's just one more perfect song from these 2 -but it breaks me down every single time -especially when he wipes her tears! such a special bond they share-its so beautiful & we're all fortunate that it happened!🎹🎤🎶
This is beautiful... I never listen or watch GaGa music until I randomly clicked on the Tony Bennet collaboration and I absolutely love it. I wish I would have listened to this sooner and went to a concert. I'm not into the ArtPop or Born This Way era, however this has opened up my mind to Lady Gaga. Tony is timeless, the instrumentals amazing and her collaboration is beautiful. I never thought I would buy a Lady Gaga album, but this may be the first one I download. Lovely.
Lady Gaga is beautiful and her voice is unmatched. She is insanely talented and drop dead looks to kill!! Im a rocker dont even like this kind of stuff but talent is talent. All the other female singers mind as well stay home.
This proves lady Gaga has an amazing voice. I don't normally listen to her music, but if she stays this style I will love her forever. I have always loved her as a person, now I love her as an artist.
Lady Gaga reminds me of Christina Aguilera. The diversity in their voices are impeccable. The fact that they could sing and sound good in so many different genres says something. Lady Gaga has such a unique jazz voice and you can hear it in all her songs. Christina's voice is very rock. I wish they could do like a ballad or even a pop song together. Not like the DWYW remix but like something they both wrote together.
wow! this is like the first comment i've seen in my life when someone can talk about to pop artist saying just good things about them both. The internet needs more loving comments like yours
Lady Gaga and Bennett are a match made in heaven. I've long loved Bennet's version of this song with pianist Bill Evans, but I love also seeing Gaga plug into her jazz vocal roots here--she is awesome.
I liked Lady Gaga's pop music, but this kind of music is timeless. Simply beautiful. This with a glass of fine whisky is all a man needs at the end of a long day.
I'm quite familiar with this song and its effect on the listener in the right hands. I knew *exactly* what these two had in store for me and welled up in pure anticipation. Stellar. Nothing but effing stellar. She'll be the most heartbroken girl in the universe when her (our) hero finally leaves us -a thought almost too much to bear- and the luckiest to have been awarded this precious time with him.
Steve X Indeed. A truly great tune by the legendary team of Jimmy Van Heusen and Johnny Burke, introduced by and originally associated with Bing Crosby and the epically beautiful Dorothy Lamour (in 1947's Road to Rio), covered wonderfully in the 50's by such heavyweights as Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Nat Cole, Johnny Hartman--and then, magnificently, by Bennett himself, on his 1975 masterpiece album collaboration with the incomparable Bill Evans. And now here, in this lovely version and accompanying video. And yes, part of the poignancy whenever these two get together (and perhaps part of the reason for Gaga's tears in the video), is that--despite their deep & obvious musical and human bond--they were born as it were out of phase with one another. And one day, all too soon, she and we will have to say goodbye for the last, last time to her impeccable partner. She will miss him I fear, but then so will I.
This is my favorite out of all the studio videos. Anyone with warm blood in their veins will be touched by this for sure. I seriously can't wait for the 2015 Grammys.
Their version is very Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga! I love both of their voices, so this song is a particularly great example of quality, magical music smooth enough to conjure up cool emotion! Wonderful.
When Tony Bennett wiped tears off of Lady's eyes, I cried. I need a hanky too.
Absolute class
Why was gaga crying?? She just got emotional or was she sad for something??

It's one of my favourites albums. Gaga's voice shines in jazz. Timeless music.
this video is more proof that she's adorable.

And of you fall you fall and the melancholic sweetness of the orchestra comes dropping slow...
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett's number one album, Cheek to Cheek is officially nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 57th GRAMMY Awards...Congratulations Gaga & Tony
Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga Singing Together... A Master - Piece 👏👏👏.. BEAUTIFUL!💞👏👏👏
what a pure joy listening to this duet : Gaga and Tony are taking us away on the sweetest velvet wings of that kinda Jazz we all love .. Gaga will always be the lady of my heart. God !! What an amazing artist !!
August 2022...WOOOOOOOW. This is beautiful, This is just a classical masterpiece
God, Lady Gaga is so beautiful.
Wow!!!! When Tony dabbed her face to wipe her tear, that was just - well - more than moving. It almost brought a tear to my eye, too!! Gorgeous. So glad I stumbled on this video even though I think I've heard the audio of it once or twice! Thank you for it!!
Lord....a piece of my heart is gone. Lady Gaga....wow....what a passionate singer and what a voice.
Guys, seriously, how could ANYONE dislike this song? I dare to say this is objectively good, how could you not like it? jeez
I absolutely, adore both Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett!!!
Their voices blend in so beautifully x0x
i find it really amazing that everytime Lady Gaga sang a really sad songs or just plain emotional.. I love it how she just jumps right into that song and gave it life, like it was about her. She sang it so beautifully. I can never stop listening to her wonderful and emotional voice.
Robert Thorpe I agree I remember Sinatra commenting that whatever people said about him, when he sang he believed.
+weho1233 You're*
Dumbass.
I'm just saying, if you're going to call someone else a dumbass at least be grammatically correct.
+Kody Marley What happened to her ??
Lavenderrose73 What if she violated a man?
Lady Gaga so elegant and stylish whenever she appears with Tony.
RIP TONY BENNETT, HIS MUSIC WAS AMAZING
She needs to make an album of jazz standards! Her voice is perfect for it!
She has two of them, cheek to cheek(2014), and Love for sale released this year ♥️
I agree
This has to be one of the most beautiful love songs ever written.
Tony and Lady Gaga made a perfect team....also they make me proud to be Italian...lol...I'm so glad they made these wonderful recordings.....Rest In Peace Tony, I loved your music : )💜
I'd never let you go Tony ... RIP 😔😟 from Argentina
A song from 1947 -- one of the two best collaborations by Johnny Burke & Jimmy Van Heusen. (Five years later, they would give the world their beloved “Here's That Rainy Day.”)
Siriusly Sinatra satellite radio just played Lady Gaga's BUT BEAUTIFUL duet with Tony Bennett: dare I say, my “new favorite version”!
MMMMM SO beautiful!!! Then he wipes her tears....I cried!!!! SUCH an emotional song...especially with the 2 of them. Priceless.
Those beautiful Jimmy VanHeusen ballads out of the 1940's - So moving. Tony, Lady GaGa and his musicians are just fantastic.
RIP Tony Bennett
Pure magic. Listen to and watch the chemistry. She is smitten and everyone in that room knows it. I think he was, too. The handkerchief; the little painting he gave her. I hope another kind of music happened between them because if it didn't--there's something wrong with life.
shnewsman he's happily married but I betcha they truly love and admire each other.
This is why Lady Gaga is better than any other artist out there. She's got talent and she's got an amazing voice. She knows how to dance, perform, wear interesting outfits, she writes her own music, she produces her own music.
Am I the only one who thinks Lady Gaga looks beautiful?
No, you aren´t she looks great and her voice is beautiful too!!!
Candy Lion Her voice is a gift to the humanity ;)
Yes youre absolutly right!!
She is.
Mrs. Deneuve no you are not
All I can say is that's awesome classy, elegant, smart, sophisticated, upscale music at it's best!
👍👍💜
There goes my heart.
❤
Im in tears watching this is soooooooooooo beautiful. my god
I'm an old guy who had never heard Lady Gaga until now. What a fine singer!
RIP to an incredible legend. Thank you, Tony. 🥺
Its beautiful because the greatest popular music ever composed was called 'The Great American Songbook'.
Still cherish this song ❤
Tony Bennett,The Man,The Myth, The Legend
so beautiful yet i crying everytime rewatch this
What a beautiful song!!!!!!!! I almost cried listening to it. They just sound amazing together.
Ps. Sidhant Khatri
They suck :p
:p for Lady Gaga!
Why the hell would u almost cry Annas Ghani Sidhant Khatri
it's just one more perfect song from these 2 -but it breaks me down every single time -especially when he wipes her tears! such a special bond they share-its so beautiful & we're all fortunate that it happened!🎹🎤🎶
Lovely.
Comments like these restore my faith in humanity. To be able to look beyond what u think of someone to see what they can really do is really great :)
Lady Gaga is beautiful and her voice is unmatched. She is insanely talented and drop dead looks to kill!! Im a rocker dont even like this kind of stuff but talent is talent. All the other female singers mind as well stay home.
Beautifull...Refined interpretation, classy music, that was Tony Benett's style. Peace
This proves lady Gaga has an amazing voice. I don't normally listen to her music, but if she stays this style I will love her forever. I have always loved her as a person, now I love her as an artist.
Is she crying like for real ? omg... this song is perfect
Daniel Pumarino Andrade Yes, we need more love and comments like that one! =)
Agree, something like "Beautiful" of Christina, it could be a great duet.
thanks for not bashing anyone. spread the positiveness!
These two New Yorkers singing together was beautiful.
Dry my tears too, Tony. He is so sweet. As I said before, Lady Gaga can sing any era and blow us all away.
in case anyone thinks Lady Gaga can't sing - this CD is AMAZING!
Two generations mixed in right here, it's so...glamorous.
I've been loving Tony Bennett forever....Tony and Lady Gaga have done a beautiful job on this album. Thank you for sharing!
Kinda random, but I absolutely love Gaga's hair in this
Menno Toonstra koooilhihiBHIxtra
What a fantastic comment Steve.
Roy Willis Sorry for replying to that comment earlier. It was meant for Christopher Neil.
ok my friend !
Roy Willis I agree
Magic she's so damn good at anything it's incredible . Stephanie has so much to offer
I can't believe that, this is the same women that poker face so strong and so sweet and emotional in the same time
This made me cry so much
Me too!
Jermaine Spence me too😢❤️
Their version is very Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga! I love both of their voices, so this song is a particularly great example of quality, magical music smooth enough to conjure up cool emotion! Wonderful.
Lady Gaga + Tonny Bennet = 100 % Talent
I could listen to this 100'xs a day! Soooo pretty!
Tony's voice is the smoothest silk
