So you want to Tippy Toes salon, but didn't meet/say something about the owner, Deborah Rodriquez?! She is a world traveler, author of several fascinating books, among other things telling of her adventures in starting a beauty school in Kabul! The books are usually available for purchase at Tippy Toes--she's led a fascinating life!!
I watch your channel for many reasons but mainly I watch because Jordan seems like a genuine nice guy and May is easy on the eyes and I am pretty sure she loves Jordan and won't break his heart..
Your best video to date. May is so lovely, and you, Jordan, seem so genuinely happy. You two seem to have settled into your new relationship very well. Such a chill and relaxing video .😊
My husband and I are from Chicago and have lived there for a year and felt safer in Mazatlan than in Chicago. I bet May would have no problems setting up a practice in Mazatlan especially since she’s bilingual and there are so many expat/retirees that live in Mazatlan.
In about 1986 I went to a lumbermans convention in Mazatlan. It was to be held in a Westin hotel right on the beach. The cost was about $205 per night. My wife asked me where we were going to stay and its cost. She called her mother. A few minutes later she returned to tell me she had changed our reservation to a hotel about three blocks from the water. The cost was $30 per night. On the opening of the convention I noticed a large group of people headed to the Westin. Seems almost all the people attending the convention we staying at the $30 hotel. My wife was pleased with herself for saving so much money. She went shopping while I was busy in the convention. She spent most of what we saved on the hotel. The $30 hotel was just as nice as the Westin. It wasn't on the beach. I was the only English speaker in the hotel.
Fascinating video. I visited Mazatlan several times between 1967 and 1974. I don't recognize the Mazatlan you enjoy. You wouldn't recognize the Mazatlan I knew. So much has changed. The beach between the road that connected to highway 15 north of the downtown area and the Hotel Camino Real up on a point north of town was mostly trailer parks, which cost me 25 pesos a night. Probably all high rise resort hotels there now. The coast road as far as the Camino Real wasn't paved until the hotel was finished, and even then the pavement ended there. The tourist trade tended to favor trailer parks and small hotels. The Camino Real was the harbinger of things to come. Trendy restaurants and boutiques existed in the imagination of property developers if at all. Maya mentioned Sonora beef. Things have apparently improved. When I drove through Sonora there were numerous cows wandering along the highway trying to make a living on the scrubby weeds and cactus. One could count the cow's ribs driving past them at 100 km per hour. There must have been more sophisticated cattle operations in other parts of the state. Even so I"m not sure you would have eaten any beef after a trip to the main food market in Mazatlan. I noticed men carrying large glossy items from a truck into the market. My curiosity was piqued so I got closer. The items being carried into the market were sides of beef, every square centimeter of the exposed meat covered by black, shiny flies. The scene reminded me of mannequins wearing black sequined dresses.Well, it was the end of summer. Are you sorry you missed experiencing the old Mazatlan? Actually I preferred the Mexico that existed 50 years ago, since I enjoyed exploring little villages and experiencing the customs and traditions of the old Mexico. Sayulita, for example, was reached via a rough dirt road, and it was necessary to ford a stream five times. Not a single hotel or restaurant anywhere between Sayulita and Rincon de Guayabitos. The dirt road to Punta Mita went through the jungle and on the entire Punta Mita coast there wasn't a single building of any kind. There were some naked hippies camped there, however. Anyway, I enjoyed the video.
I was in Mazatlan last week. We stayed in the tourist areas and along Camaron Sabalo, Av Gaviotas etc, and never once did I question our safety, even at night time. We loved it so much we'll be back in October
I'm going next week for Santa De Semana. Staying with my wife's family. I'll take some recommendations for the nightlife, please. lol. Will be in Culiacan for a couple of days as well.
We call it home - over 5 years now of living on Cerritos Beach! We are heading to Centro on the Sabalo Centro bus soon. Love going to the Aquarium (new one will open soon).
Great video ! Nice vibes with such good information .I get the feeling that Mexico is on the way up while the U.S. is going down hill . I hope to visit soon . Thanks .
Of course Mexico is doing better. They send all of their poor across the border. But, they also doing better because they pretty much still believe in God. It’s a Catholic God but it’s God nonetheless. Everything woke goes broke, America is playing with woke fire and getting burned.
This was a great video! Mazatlan is beautiful and seems pretty tranquil, and the street Jordan pointed out was gorgeous! All of the food looked delicious too.
Best video of you two. So happy to see Love broadcasted like this in a world sometimes filled with hatred . Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your adventures!🙏👍
I took my son and his mother for a weekend in Mazatlan. That Saturday night there was an electrical storm out over the water. it was so neat to see the lightning hitting the water over and over again from a completely dark sky.
Nice to see you and the lovely May SO HAPPY. What a lovely pair you make. America (right now) is full of travel warnings about going to Mexico. Mazatlan and PV are on the current warnings list.
THE BEST Coffee shop in ALL North America. Panamas often has over 135 items on the Menu and a great Bakery. Where to go when you do not know what you want to eat Each 3 months they change a lot of the items. They have their own Research Commercial Kitchen at their HQ in Cualican, so they are always concocting new dishes, trying them out and perfecting them, before putting them in their Restaurant. The Pamana Rest. in the Gold Zone can seat 850 people, including group rooms for parties of 25 and 50 people!
Incredible video! I think this is the best video you have posted to date. Informative, yet still personal and happy vibes. Frank And Tania were great guests to the channel too!
Strange but Burritos were not a part of Mexican Food Fare, but BIG in California. Supposedly they started in Chihuahua, CHI. Mazatlan IS the Pearl of the Pacific and BEST large beach town of all the Mexican Beach Towns - so much variety and a 3.5 mile Malecon, that can not be beat. Weve been going there for over 50 years, and was always safe, just not too safe to go partying out at Night Clubs after around mid night, when there was Cartel activity, is all. Never stopped us from going and it was always safe.
Oh my God, so many memories of my times in Mazatlan. I love the cheese bread balls at Panama, and eating the breakfast Americano en Olas Altas, and getting up at sunrise to ride the malecon and back on the bike then to Olas Altas to eat, then repeat the whole thing at sunset!
I think this was your best "together" video. Mazatlan looks great! Always wanted to visit Mazatlan. Seems like a bigger more modern Puerto Vallarta. Also, tell Tania that her English is excellent. I would of thought her to be American. She even pronounces her V's properly. I know in Spanish the V is pronounced with the B sound. Many native Spanish speakers carry over the B sound with V's in English (very = bery). Always wanted to ask native Spanish speakers about that.
@@TangerineTravels I feel like we are also getting to know May much better. Her personality and sense of humor are really coming out. It seemed like we are seeing more of her as well. That may sound odd, but she has so many looks (style) that it has been hard to get a feel for what she really looks like. Never noticed how long her hair really was until recently. I'm sure that it takes a while to warm up to the camera. She is doing great and it's nice getting to know her better.
America is a continenttttttt not a countryyyyyyyyy . So if she was born n Chile 🇨🇱 or centro America or South America Costa Rica Venezuela she is Americannnnnnnnn any person born n the American continent is Americannnnnnn . @@MM-sx4uh I wasn't judging. I was praising. Pronunciation of V is simply an observation. In general usage, in the English language, inhabitants of what became the USA have been referred to as Americans since the early 1600s. So American.
Yay May is in the house! She looks more comfy in this video. She funny. I love double tree cookies too. My coworkers and I use to go there for the lunch buffet and then we would ask for cookie. They were nice and warm and gooey. You mention Uber a lot but I have seen that other taxis have some problems with them because they take they there work or something. Did you see any problems there? Your views were gorgeous. Good luck guys.
Literally at the four seasons hotel in my area in SoCal for a similar luxury suite, you have to pay $2k-4k per night--and you only get a nice view of the nearby cemetary.
I love these travel videos you've been putting together with May in them. I hope you guys move to Mazatlan since May loves it so much. The ocean is a plus and May would make way more money. I think this channel will make more money, too.
wow, i remember when you first arrived to the country and one of your first stops was in Mazatlán. I clearly remember that you did not have much fun and even mentioned that you liked going to bed early and didn´t like being in crowded places. Now, I watch you enjoying the night vibes, enjoying all the food and even dancing!. I feel like you´re always smiling and having a blast!. I´m really happy for you guys.

I absolutely LOVE how happy both of you are. It shows for sure. The food is a common complaint in Queretaro. Not authentic and very "white washed" (Americanized). I think you guys love Mazatlan and will be moving there soon.
I was just talking to my brother about that opinion from people from other areas or countries. But really, you have to know where to go to eat here in Queretaro. It makes a huge difference once you know the right place for what you like.
I am Mexican (from Mexico city moved to Queretaro) and found a quiet, relaxing city & great place to live...,not so much local dishes because Queretaro is one of the smallest states in Mexico (2.5% of total Mexico), but for sure you'll be happy there...regards and welcome anytime !, if chose Juriquilla don't hesitate to contact me to show you more about my hermoso pais.

Yeah, my wife taught me to pronounce the word for boardwalk wrong on purpose. So when I said the word out load all the native speakers had a good laugh. They laughed about it for like 3 days.

As an old gringo who has been studying Spanish off and on since high school, I am fascinated by the degree of compentency with which Latinos (I know, and see in videos or TV) speak English. Correct pronunciation of English (with minimal accent) is, of course, extremely difficult for most Latinos. But some, like May, do an EXCELLENT job of speaking quickly, accurately, and meaningfully -- without the benefit of living in an English-speaking country. Te felicito, May! I hope May will use Jordan to perfect her English, expand her vocabulary, and smooth her accent. And that Jordan will use May to develop and polish his speaking and listening skills.
!Que buen video! My parents took us to Maaaahzatlan when I was 8 years old...I have been back 20 times (usually on my way to San Blas). Todavia me encanta Mazatlan.
Hey buddy. Love your videos. I bought a condo in Puerto Morelos. Your old stomping grounds. I know it's hot and extremely humid but I absolutely the color of the water. Also, they are putting in a train that might make going to other places super easy. I want to explore mexico and just make Puerto Morelos my home station. I definitely want to get away this summer to cool off and go to a beautiful Mexico town in Mexico! Anyways...keep up the good work buddy
Fantastic video! I just love you two. You're so perfect together. I watch your videos all the time. You two are so great to be around when with other friends/people. I would love to have friends such as you.
It was such a quick second in your Mazatlan video when you were there with another couple I believe 3 weeks ago. It was like a silver grill in the center of your table and you were moving kabobs around it. I think it was a restaurant do you happen to remeber the name?
I'm thinking of retiring to Mazatlan, so thanks for this video and all the great information of this amazing city. Keep up the great work on your videos.😀
Well, one things for sure if you ever had any problems in Mexico living in Mazatlan, you can get too many places fast. If you run to the boat, you can get over to Baja California peninsula there. You could get up to Costa Rica. Then into California if needed. It would be an easy fast run out of the country from that destination.
So we are basically watching you have fun? So jealous have not been to Mexico for years. ): It's really cute how much you too are connected and really care for each other. I really like your videos. Can you make video on IXTAPA? On the resort I have not been there for years and I like to see how it looks now.
I love Mazatlan. I remember being able to get a beachfront hotel in Zona Dorada for $25 on long stay with desayuno. $8 for mariscos en molcajete. No way am I paying $200 a night. Hola de Ecuador, donde yo pago $20 cada noche. Good to see you guys still having fun.

That food looked soo good, can I get the same in Denver Colorado?
!Que buen video! My parents took us to Maaaahzatlan when I was 8 years old...I have been back 20 times (usually on my way to San Blas). Todavia me encanta Mazatlan.
I usually by a piece or two of jewelry as souvenirs too. Great video
Hi Jordan, great video! And Laska your dog ? Do you still have her?
I was waiting for a review of Mr. Lionso's. We had a few meals there on our last trip
I have actually personally looked at that yellow house and it is just awesome but expensive over 800K USD.
The 2 times when I went to Mazatlan. The looney beans cafe was my go to in the mornings. Loved it.
That train should be a game changer for the area
You'll be most welcome dude.
@@lenmaryan7943 I love the idea. There is lots of political debate on the train. However, sounds like it's definitely happening
Fantastic video! I just love you two. You're so perfect together. I watch your videos all the time. You two are so great to be around when with other friends/people. I would love to have friends such as you.
Jordan and May,
I love your videos I never miss any of them!
I love Marlin but I heard they are over fished so I switched to snapper and mackerel:)
Because of this couple I believe in love 💕
Hello I saw in your video a restaurant you were at that had a grill on the center of the table. Do you remember the name of that restaurant?
I believe that you’re talking about Korean Grill
It was such a quick second in your Mazatlan video when you were there with another couple I believe 3 weeks ago. It was like a silver grill in the center of your table and you were moving kabobs around it. I think it was a restaurant do you happen to remeber the name?
Oh, you´re talking about the shrimp platter at El Machacho Alegre
I'm thinking of retiring to Mazatlan, so thanks for this video and all the great information of this amazing city. Keep up the great work on your videos.😀
Can’t Wait!!!!❤
In the US they are now saying to be careful and that prescription drugs in Mexico are tainted. Have you heard this? Either way, stay safe!
Ridiculous, most of the drugs are made by the same US manufacturers in individual packaging that is dated.
What month were guys there and filmed this?
This was in March
@@TangerineTravels So it's actually cool enough you need jackets at night in March, that's interesting.
Thanks.
Here before 100 views yaay
I love Mazatlan! It is where I go to heal my soul.
Me ha encantado este video. Gracias. Son el dúo dinámico
So we are basically watching you have fun? So jealous have not been to Mexico for years. ): It's really cute how much you too are connected and really care for each other. I really like your videos. Can you make video on IXTAPA? On the resort I have not been there for years and I like to see how it looks now.
Thank you for the intel!
Is it a tourist place?
I love Mazatlan. I remember being able to get a beachfront hotel in Zona Dorada for $25 on long stay with desayuno. $8 for mariscos en molcajete. No way am I paying $200 a night.
Hola de Ecuador, donde yo pago $20 cada noche. Good to see you guys still having fun.
You would make lots of money being a physiotherapist there catering to the visitors and the people who come live there for 6 months out of the year .
How does it compare to Puerto Vallarta just south of it, considering PV has all the greenery and mountains??
love that pool
awe the ending was so cute
Another good thing about Mazatlan is it is only 4 hours from Guadalajara en car.
OMG - never were truer words spoken about the Ubers in Querétaro! I'm dying!! 😂🤣😂🤣
