What a forward thinking mayor. Where I live you would be fined for doing such a thing. There was a huge uproar when one person in our country planted a lovely veg garden on their front lawn. They were hassled for a long time over that. One apparently doesn't even have rights on their owned property.

The shape of the path doesn't look right. Some sleepers or stepping stones would've been better

I did an assignment on nature strip gardens at hort college - they're actually a bit tricky cos nature strips are used for lots of functions and services and there are restrictions on what you can do.. However, I think they look beautiful planted up, especially with natives - we really need to help our native insects. Box hedges and iceberg roses do absolutely zilch for insects. Great work Charlie!

Lovely idea. Really need to put porous landscape fabric under that gravel grid, keep down weeds, stop gravel migration.

Where I live at least, it's because the runoff causes algae blooms in the river that kills fish and aquatic plants.

This is a little late but.....
Many Australian native plants are sensitive to phosphorus. They don't like it at all.

you have to be able to see you when you make a right or left when you pull out of your driveway. That’s the only thing that would concern me
