As a diehard GG fan, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Blitz is a class act and doesn’t deserve any of the shit he gets. Lots of love from Canada
I love Blitz's attitude. It's really inspiring, I have given up on things in the past, but his words make me wanna try again. I am so happy for him and the whole team that they finally won. You guys deserve it!
When asked about Ammar’s pick at series decider match with Falcons in Riyadh, Blitz went: “It’s just a Timber” which was insane to me at the moment since Ammar Timber was scary and almost unbeatable. Liquid won the series. That was epic
So happy for Blitz. Been following pro Dota since TI3, a fan of Blitz through Zephyr, yall's casts, and his coaching career. Very cool seeing him live his dream
i became a huge fan of blitz when him, purge, corey, and bamboe played in Korea on Zephyr. Such a nostalgic time in dota for me. its amazing to see how far blitz has come. he is so humble and deserves all of this success. he is an inspiration to me as a person
Man that was some lovely uplifting stuff with the way Blitz lists everyone he has such gratitude for, it's heartwarming to see morality conquering. Damn this TI would have made a great true sight
Lots of love Cap, you're the best! Your epic casting of the Liquid Thunder game two years ago was what got me into dota. I must've watched it a hundred times. Looking forward to watching all the games you and SVG cast.
It’s been wild following Blitz’s journey for literally 10 years. Very grateful to you guys for putting out this content. This comment is just a long-winded yap about my personal parasocial connection to Blitz so I’m not sure if anyone would even read this. I first know of Blitz from Purge’s Team Zephyr intro video. To me it was a really inspiring storyline about a group of dudes travelling across the globe to help out a friend that got screwed over in an unfortunate situation. Unfortunately the dota scene in Korea didn’t work out and I thought that would be the last I see these Zephyr guys in competitive. I’ll always reminisce about MVP Phoenix, Hot6, and watching Purge play SD almost every game. Then I started seeing Blitz cast games. He’s a good caster, a bit overrated in my opinion. But definitely okay to be partnered with a top tier caster like Cap. Jokes aside, I was instantly a fan of their chemistry. But what I appreciate most are Blitz’s TH-cam videos about the game. Listening to him talk about playing the map, taking good farm was practically a goldmine, because it gave me a way better appreciation of the macro Dota game I ever had. Yes these concepts have trickled down to low ranks now, but at the time no one else was articulating these key concepts in public. Even his long ass rant about MMR gave me perspective on my own mentality about grinding games and blaming others for my losses. Even though I’m absolute dogshit at the game, I’ve always envied Blitz for taking the plunge into the competitive dota. Yeah maybe he’s not the most mechanically gifted player in the world, but he still managed to win a TI in his own way, with a team he built up from the ground up no less. Blitz being a drafter makes him even more relatable to me personally since I was drafting for my shitty 3-5k stack back when I was in school, where we dreamed of making it through the TI Open Qualifiers. Me and my co-captain used to spend hours playing around on some website that lets you mock draft, or watch games together to predict drafts. I would spend hours, looking for videos and interviews from drafters like PPD for the slightest insight. In the end maybe it was all for naught, because well, we’re low MMR and everyone basically played their best 3-4 heroes every game. Still, it was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. I have no disillusions about my chances going competitive. I know for a fact that dropping out of law school and going into comp dota would never work out for me in a million years. Yeah, I have a pretty decent paying job now and I can still enjoy playing dota from time to time, so in the end it probably worked out better for me. Still, I think I’ll always have a tinge of regret never being able to play semi-competitively. This is why seeing Blitz succeed this TI meant the world to me. Maybe it’s a bit arrogant of me to imagine I could have taken a similar path and now I’m living my dreams vicariously through him, because obviously, he’s way better at the game than I ever could be. But his journey goes to show that you don’t have to be some child genius mechanical god like Sumail or be super cutthroat to achieve your dreams. And that’s the reason why his storyline is the most relatable to me personally, even more than the pro players themselves. I’ll always be thankful to Blitz for helping me appreciate the competitive scene and the game itself. I’ll keep rooting for Liquid until you guys decide to quit for good. … Though let me just say if you don’t win the next TI, I’ll start shitting on you to the point you’ll wish you’ve never had a Reddit account, NBA exclusive or not. Maybe I’ll look the other way if you could get me an autograph from Insania. Anyways see you in 11 months.
What changed with Blitz was his post-draft interview in the TI grand finals compared to EWC or other Majors. He was now serious, confident and badass compared to the usual humble and a bit self-doubting style he usually takes on. It radiated victory, it was awesome. WP AND GZ
Blitz mentioned doing a draft recap - could we go over high level drafting, countering, and an "inside" look of the mind of Blitz when drafting / coaching? I would absolutely love that. Went through Blitz's channel and his old content is still super informative. Coming back to the game after a long long hiatus and I gain so much value from learning macro concepts and principles that transcend the "meta" Thanks for the episode and hope to see more content!
Adding another comment to request having Blitz and Cap do a draft analysis of some tourny. Would be incredible. I've seen y'all do it on stream randomly but as a content piece it would be a BANGER
I think the reason why there is any hate in the comments is the language of " if I win or if we lose" there's a distinction there that isn't consistent which makes it a point that stuck out
Lol the last game I played was before the map got bigger and spirit won ti as i knew i was not going to get any better at this game and I'd probably get some blood pressure issues if i continued haha, been an on and off player since dota 1 collapsed but these mechanics are too intense for a working 26 year old but glad that I played dota when we had to worry about kunka's tidal and quelling blade didn't stack, spectres deso and deso didn't stack, pudge and blink dagger didn't stack(still got the relexes of buying items from the shops on hot keys and literally remembering every shortcut key of each hero for their skills, shit dota was too complex for a beginner once upon a time that top without the help of unlimited access to internet and TH-cam)
Blitz has a lot of rage and emotional problems. I hope he finds a way to cope with it other than eating, collecting pokemon cards, and watching reruns of Gilmore Girls.
@@RodelIturalde if you really think I'm serious about Blitz having a Gilmore Girls addiction as a cope for emotional rage, then you should look in the mirror and recognize who the idiot is
Probably someone who refuses to believe in reality that he actually is a TI Winning Coach. Most likely someone who's so dellusional and coward that they make a new account to say stupid shit as they don't have any courage to use their actual name and face =]
Or that just because it's not a patch where the carry decides the game , doesn't mean Micke isn't a bot. Also tell him to stop pick NP in pubs, people are not down for his bad mechanics and auto losses
Players and coaches both win. If you're so eager to hate on the guy you can specify he 'won as a coach', I suppose. But that's still an amazing achievement. Claiming he didn't win at all doesn't make sense
This is the kind of person I am trying to be. Being kind and wholesome without sacrificing ambition. This was a great listen. Thanks!
Hell yeah fully agree. Much love

Blitz's Storm spirit was a fucking monster back in the day
That was great to listen to! Blitz seems like a great coach to have. I'm really glad he and Team Liquid got the W!

I highly appreciate cap for doing these, it really gives a deep insight. love you both, I hope and expect more from both of you. keep being you
I’ll always remember Blitz telling a story in vent/team speak about jumping out of a car on a dare. Probably back in 2008-9. S-tier personality.
Blitz’s speech toward the end was really special, genuinely so happy for you bro. RIP Bamboe

I like hearing him talk. Somehow, he is very easy to listen to. It feels like I'd listen to him talking about anything. great episode
Blitz is such a fucking great guy, im really sad I couldnt meet him at Lima major
blitz speech actually carried the whole ti

possibly Ws from Talon (first 15k mmr player)

Good insights on this POD cast.
great episode love their chemistry n how blitz view things. really happy for them really made this TI worth it~~
Great episode!
1:27 top 4 at getting top 4
blitz is such a nice guy
Rember guys. Even of you lose your ranked games, Blitz still loves you and will singalong Taylor Swift songs with you.
This blitz guy is pretty cool.
Seems like more players need to start asking teams to join before getting approached!
love you blitz youre a champ, always a champ now

is that Jankins or gaben on blitz pillow? Completely deserved victory!
pretty telling of the toxic culture is that with some players the teams just disband soon after forming, like Puppey's lineups
