    Bonjour MegamanOmega ! First of all, thank you for playing my script !
    It brings me back lot of memories by looking at you playing it but I realize now how unfair and stupid it is haha!
    My goal was to make a memorable script with its own identity by using all kind of original gimmicks and fancy effects and
    by adding some nice references (Rin satsuki spell from jynx scripts or shinki spell)
    I was kinda on the train of hype when I did it but now I see the truth and all its defaults
    I agree it's way way too hard for all difficulties and for most of the spells
    Some spells / no spell need to be shorter,
    Fancy effects are too much for Hooaka ice spells and Clause spells and did the opposite of what I intended to do.
    Some hard-to-see bullets ( black on black) even if intentional are a bad idea.
    The stage portion and dialogs weren't even necessary ^^.
    In the end, these gimmicks are really bad for a... 30 minutes bossrush ! (Damn I should have made it shorter). It's really frustrating to die after 20 minutes play because the boss throws at you a non intuitive pattern with a specific way to clear it.
    I guess my script was meant to be seen and not to be played. My apologies for all the suffering ~
    I realize now these ideas would have been more appreciated in a spellcard collection game
    As a first try, if I had to redo it again, I would have change many things of course.
    But it's my baby, all cracked and broken but I still like it as it is because I've had such a great time by making this.
    I would love to make other scripts but Time and other stuffs have taken me away from Gensokyo
    But It's still a pleasure to see people trying this.

      I played the script, and is one of the most memorable thing I ve ever played, believe me or not, this script help me through a very hard time in my life, I really appreciate how much effort you put in this

    Oh, Pruns... Why...
    This man is beyond insane. Saying that he does Unreal stuff is understating it. He's done EMS _and_ RMI Absurdly Extra _without focusing._ (The latter ending with 5 extra lives remaining too...) As well as EE Absurdly Extra No Vertical... Do I need to explain any more how crazy this guy is? Heck, someone sent his RMI AbEx No Focus clear to JynX, JynX's reaction was just "...what?". Not even JynX himself knows the power of the madman known as Pruns.

    This script is...Something.
    I will say that Pruns did a good job at making the attacks feel epic and stuff but good lord the difficulty hurts me. A large majority of scripts out there don't tend to make the boss patterns feel as if the boss themselves is actively attacking you, which is perfectly fine. That may be because most other people don't play shmups with more aggressive danmaku (aka not a Touhou-like). This script manages to make the bosses feel agressive which I really really wanna like if it weren't for the execution of most of the attacks. Like if this script had someone who wasn't a Lunatic/Unreal player to test this script then this whole thing would be more bareable. The gimmicks are cool and I really enjoy them, but they aren't executed well enough for a Boss Rush. These sort of things like you said are better suited for collections or short fights because at the very least you're expected to die a lot to them.
    As for the effects. They're cool don't get me wrong because I love me a flashy script. But goodness why does Hooaka make the player more blind than with what Kurohebi does? That and the whole things feels rather...Hodgepodgy. There's effects from Touhou, Len'en, Touhou Fighting, Ido, same with the bullets.
    I dunno
    This whole script is a perfect example of why it's important to have multiple people test play your thing. Because I guarentee you nobody would ever understand how Tsurubami's last spell would work without someone showing you first.
    Side Note: Who the hecc voted for Necroslamtasia The Reebot? qwq I completely forgot I spent a full day copying an AJS script just for the shitposts.

      Well, I think it's ok for a one-off script to be potentially memo in some things and play testers would still complain about that. I think Pruns went for a difficulty that would be accessible for players of that level if they practiced for a clear, and went under the assumption that they would practice to beat it.
      That said, this definitely needed some eyes on it before release because...wow the visual effects and some of the gimmicks are ridiculous.

      Honestly it's mainly the insane amount of screen shaking and visual effects that makes it way harder than it would be without them.

    Unironically one of better Len'en scripts.
    If only because it shows the absurd nature and difficulty this series poses for so many people.

    Honestly, despite not being the type of script I enjoy, it's still baffling to see when you know for a fact this is someone's first real script.
    Pruns is a great player, but he struggled with the balancing of this in a big way. I wish I had been more insistent in my advice when he had this going on (Like visibility issues and certain graphic usage), and even then, a lot of stuff still got much better in the final release (The Oxygen bar basically restored at half the pace it does in Normal mode IIRC... Yikes. Thank god for balancing.) Gimmicks galore also didn't help with the balancing, and playtesting this was hell. Overall, this is still one of the more impressive scripts out there with a variety of neat ideas, even if too many or not perfectly executed. I'm glad Pruns made something this impressive for a first script, I still cannot believe it myself even after all this time.

      It certainly is impressive. I think he made a script that he will find enjoyable to play through himself, and if that's the case, then he reached that goal.

    I might wanna check this out, and try Easy to see if there's any difference.
    [EDIT]: Well, I tried it on Easy for a few runs. Got to Aoji's first spellcard. It's worse than I imagined xD. That 10 seconds of the script running itself on when you get a game over just kills the momentum. And yeah, not much difference between Easy and Normal, maybe 2 or 3 extra bullets per spellcard on Normal. The difficulties should be Hard, Unreal, Absurdly Unreal and Just No.
    This script is why you should always get testers of varying skill levels to test your script before releasing. Many fangames had this problem lately, where the difficulty is pegged towards the Lunatic mode, unwilling to sacrifice game mechanics that are too tough for sake of inclusivity. HSoB's stage 5 boss is the only instance (to me) where this is done right.
    Also wow, all the screen effects. First time scripter's overzealousness I guess.
    I do agree that the script is beautiful and has very interesting ideas. Just the implementation of those ideas overshoots the target. When downloading the script, Pruns mentioned that this script has no mercy, and that you shouldn't try Unreal on your first time. I can respect him for giving that warning at least.

      I get that learning a pattern that that is fairly gimmicky is challenging, but personally speaking as a scripter, the end result for lower difficulties often feels neutered to the point of it being boring, and that's the opposite of what you want.
      Also, in that same respect, how unreasonable is it to try and learn that mechanic? These gimmicks in this script I feel are too much, but I also feel like people tend to give up once they see something that looks too intimidating for them instead of taking it by the horns and trying to learn it.
      That all being said, I agree that HSoB S5 handles it really well. It keeps the core element of the pattern but changes it up in a way that makes it different, easier, but also still exciting in its own right.

      I suppose it depends on whether the process in learning and solving them is fun, even if my skill level is casual Easy mode player. I still haven't managed to 1CC Normal mode MoF after 11 years of trying, but I still had fun trying. I'm just content with getting to experience Touhou as a low skill level casual player, because of that Easy mode. And be driven to learn the harder gimmicks and still having fun while doing so, even if I can't clear them ultimately.
      When it gets so frustrating after several months of trying despite your drive and effort that you no longer enjoy the game, then there's no point trying.

      On the other hand, some gimmicks should be off-limits even on Unreal. Forcing players to strain to see the bullets is straight-up damaging to your eye health.

    The gimmicks, the creativity, the aesthetics are great. Just not executed well along with there being too much and it ended up with over the top difficulty (I know that's an understatement, even the "breath of fresh air" is quite vicious with tough to see bullets)

    Cool ideas, great attacks and a perfect example for very good and very bad decisions.

    Ok honestly? I haven't seen this script in a long time and I think Normal difficulty is a bit overblown in terms of it's reputation. It's possible that my years of Touhou have finally caught up with me and I see things that look easier than they are, but ehhh we'll see lol.
    There's quite a bit of bullshit peppered in there (ESPECIALLY with Clause, good Lord) but most of the actual difficulty comes down to the overwhelming amount of effects in this script. The actual patterns themselves seem fairly challenging but far from impossible for Normal mode standards. It's really a good case study in terms of effects and gimmicks getting in the way of gameplay. Though some of the gimmicks seem like pure memo.
    On a positive note, however, this script definitely does its part in *looking* badass. It's definitely too much but these bosses are really aggressive and I like that a lot. I feel like this captures the energy of these bosses really trying to kill you, while most Touhou and even Len'en attacks are pretty indirect. Also some of these pattern ideas are really cool, even outside of their respective gimmicks.
    I can respect what this script tried to do.
    I was going into this video expecting something Lunatic level but I can safely say if there was better visual design, Clause nerfs (and please get rid of that moon jump, ewwww), and a couple more tweaks this could've been Normal-Hard difficulty easily.
    On one final note to end on, I think it's important to have games or even scripts where the design around your chosen difficulty is aimed a bit higher than average. I feel like Touhou players tend to like their chosen difficulty being a breeze to them and more of a light romp, but I think a Touhou shmup should still be an adequate challenge for that difficulty - I think having an accessible game is great but ultimately if there's no challenge why bother playing it?
    EDIT (after the credits): Ok honestly I feel you in terms of that difficulty scaling. Targeting the wrong areas for difficulty balancing is definitely not good and that difference between Normal and Unreal is definitely punier than I expected.

    Speaking of Len'en scripts, one that I've recently discovered is "The Pure Wishful Haniwa" by TTBD. Unlike some of the other scripts I've recommended, this doesn't rely on jokes or a gimmick, but it's just an all-around fun and exciting battle with some awesome-looking danmaku. And there's no dialogue, so Bee won't be angry. This one instantly hooked me, so I hope you like it!

      Dialogue is fine when it's done succinctly. Scripts don't need 10+ minutes of lore (usually), and things titled 'Boss Rush' should remember what "rush" means.

      Patreon votes basically get saved and roll over to the next poll.
      For the public votes, the poll is reset and started from 0 every time like normal
      For the Patreon polls however, anything that gets voted for and doesn't win gets saved for the next poll.
      So say, ICM got 6 votes here. Every vote for the next poll gets added to those 6.

    I... really don't like this. It's _clearly_ an awesome script with a truckload of amazing gimmicks and ideas, but then absolutely ruined by horrible balance. I mean, kudos to the guy, but talk about a skewed sense of difficulty... =u="
    EDIT: From Clause onwards it's just pure bullshit. Pruns what the hell.
