I'd love to have an old moped like this but it's a little too much work for me. How much do want out of it? You might try the Portland chapter of the moped army.
@TweedleDee1 Yes, poor, sweet thing... it needs and deserves full restoration. 300 for the bike plus 200 for the new tires and tubes and it's all yours !
I used to have one of these in high school. From Sears same color. Good luck on selling it but I imagine the tires would be in more demand than the bike. Pretty rough.
@GoliathAngelus .... Boy, I sure would like to ID the moped. It is really out of place here on the west coast of the US. here in Portland. Funny thing you mentioned popularity in Holland, the only place in the world that I could find had tires to fit was Holland.
I have an Allstate that I am trying to figure out year of Manufacture. The Engine is stamped 6468499. I can't find a frame number, is there one and where at? Thank you in advance. And where might I find that list you refer to?
Hi, like your moped, please tell where or how I can buy tires for it, I have a 1964, blue, all original, everything works, but the tires are rotting off, any information would be appreciated, thanks!!!
@2stroketurbo It is indeed strange (but not that strange, our Tire brand Vredestein still makes them )that you only could find the tires in Holland . You may have could find them in Germany or Belgium or Austria Yes ,Puch still is popular even when Piaggio/ Vespa took over the brand We stay our oltimers lowyal I think your model is from early 60ties but i am not sure.

Yes , it looks like an Allstate import Puch from Austria. It's late fifties, a so called MS50L, Tank is larger as is the rear suspension, these should be smaller. However I'm not sure how these were exported. Also noticed the Engine nr starting with 4...This may be an export indication, as all Austrian mopeds I know off start with a 6..... It's in a bad state , mate. Needs ....lot's of loving care. I'm building the original moped model from 1954, where everything is smaller and more refined...Well..I'm biased, as it's a beautiful moped, part of Dutch 60's heritage too.
Nice bike! I currently own a 1978 PUCH MAXI LUXE right now. It is a 50CC 1.5HP engine. I plan to rebuild my engine this month coming up. I plan to get it running pretty good this year to get practice riding in and see how things feel on the road. Then my goal is to have it fully operational by 2025. I plan to pick up a 50CC scooter or a 50CC MOPED in the price range of $750.00-$1500.00. I prefer a 50CC two stroke over a four stroke. What in your opinion is the best 50CC Scooter money can buy that is comparable to a Vespa or Piaggio 50CC for what money can buy? I'm just looking for A scooter. I do not care what bike it is, what color it is or what it looks like. I just need it to work and function as cheap and simple transportation that is all. I just want something to go eight miles down the road with. I want another bike because it is something I enjoy working with. Some day I plan to have a motorcycle. Single cylinder four stroke manual transmission four speed is what I am hoping for. Don't really care what it is just want it to ride. A scooter I feel is a good point to go up a notch and learn on. I started on motorized bicycles, my dream car is a Trabant 601S Sedan. I got into MOPEDS and SCOOTERS because there is a bike called a Rigga 13 moped. I realized it is the same technology as a Trabant 601S. Just on a two wheel platform and easy to work on. That is why I bought a MOPED to fix up right now. I'm about 3/4's of the way done with it. One day I will post a video on it once it gets warmer. Still trying to fix a 46 year old machine but I am getting close!! So @2stroketurbo what do you recommend for a bike and where can I find my dream car? I also would settle for a wartburgh 312 or a Auto Unioun 1000S car. Thanks for your videos you have inspired me a lot been watching your stuff since I was 12 now I am almost 24. Have a good night!!
Nice video. I know someome who could help you out with what year this Puch is. He collects them. Its a pitty that i don t have his address but there always are Puch meetings and lovers all over the world. Puch was very popular in Holland.
Thats funny that you say you don't have time for that little thing but you do have time for all those microcars.
It looks like mine. But mine was black. 1966. A fanstastik machine. Went 80 km, with a seven hp tune and Delorto karburator.
The frame resides in Portland Oregon, the rest of the bike went to Banner Wyoming to complete a restoration in progress

Damn! That`s a lot of work and a lot of mony to build this Puch back to original. But i do the same with a friend (Puch MS 50)
Excellent!
@peckerwood57 you are right. New scooters must sell better, not sure if new mopeds are even available.......true you don't see mopeds anymore
@JLopezRdotCOM ......yes , exactly , I need to focus all my time on microcars. These old scooters are fun but, I enjoy the microcars more.
is this the year of manufacture you think this bike is ?
Great bike.

It's simple, there's a list with engine/ frame ## so you can check the year it was built.

Puch was very popular in Holland.
I thought a mopes was a bicycle and a motorcycle mixed together?
Not sure, what's "very expensive" for you, but in Czech republic these cost from 7 to 20 quid.
