Noise is more than likely the diverter valve. Was revised because the rubber would tear and leak/whistle. You just don't notice it until you put the intake on it because it is quiet with stock intake.
the whine you mentioned is from the stock divertor valve; it's plastic and the intake brings in more air. If you want the sound to go away, upgrade your divertor valve
nice man. 👍 got the intake. Cant wait to hear how it sounds. Especially since I also have the cts outlet pipe and turbo muffler delete. i hope I get all the sound you experienced and so spool up whistles too. that smaller turbo wines up so fast. Maybe that why it whistle so much when doing spirited driving throttle pulls.
@@grind-it-out ohh it’s great! I install the intake, it opened up so much noise. can hear the turbo clear now. After I drove it around a bit, I then installed the turbo muffler delete with the outlet charge pipe and let me tell you, that made a difference in performance. not a lot but I can tell the air flow is much less restricted resulting in quicker spool up and it stays in boost. the turbo feel much more free now. it’s easier to get up to speed driving normal. and with even a little throttle the car will spool up into boost happily now. anyone doing these mod from just stock form, watch the boost gauge and you’ll see what I’m talking about. car is much more a blast to drive now ! Again, nice video you did. 👍
Great! It’s a happy sound for sure. Glad you experienced some gains too. It brings that little engine to life. Congrats on the install. I appreciate your comments. Have a good one 💯👍🏼
That’s true. It’s just an air intake 🤣. I’m in Texas and it’s definitely not cold air here. 🤣🤣. If You subscribed welcome aboard. If not hopefully I can earn it. 😊👍🏼
UPDATE: Just made a comment a few minutes ago about having a check engine light after install. I found a comment on the installation video where someone had the same issue. I FORGOT TO TAKE THE CAP OFF OF THE PORT UNDERNEATH THE FRONT PIPE FOR THE SMALL HOSE UNDERNEATH. Double check your work, it got dark while I was installing and the hose fit perfectly over the cap so I didn't suspect anything wrong. If you get a CEL, check your connections and make sure all caps are off 😂
Ohhh thank you. It’s tint. VViViD hex tint. I have a video on it in my channel. Check it out. Thanks for watching. I appreciate the comment. If you don’t mind please hit subscribe it helps the channel out. 👍🏼. Thanks again

@@grind-it-out thank u I'm installing the same on in my Audi Q3 2.0t I can't wait I couldn't find any videos on it but it so I guess I'm going to be the first Audi Q3 with the CTS intake

Agreed! Thanks for watching. 👍🏼😎💯
Thanks for the shouts. Honestly if I was starting over again I’d skip the intake. I’d just go tune and down pipe.
I hear that. I like the look s as d the sound except that whistle at high rpm

Yea I know but it’s not worth it. Hard to get to on this car. I almost did it but it’s not so bad as it is.
@@grind-it-out I just ordered this intake for mine a couple hours ago, how's it been? I have a 1.8tsi, did you need to get a tune for it?
No tune is needed. It’s been great. Cool turbo sounds and looks great. I think you’ll really like it. No complaints here. 💯😎👍🏼
@@leacher9165 how did everything go?
The GFB+ is definitely worth doing

Yes yes yes. It will make you happy. How did u like the downpipe? I mean the gains from it. Did u notice much in performance?

Bought my Golf with one installed and living in central GA, I laugh very loud at "cold air intake" since it rarely gets cold here 🤣🤣🤣

Does this come with the piping too or just the front end? I have a 2016 Tiguan and am interested in adding a little personality to it. Great video!
Yes it’s a whole kit. Go to urotuning put in your car info and see if they have it for your vehicle 👍🏼😎💯

It happens to the best of us. 🤣
Mines got muffler & resonator delete and stock intake and still does that loud whistle sound like you mentioned 😅
Yea. It seems like those small turbo’s do that 🤣
Are the headlights tinted or are they covers? I dig em :P

Hello I have a question did u get a check engine light or no
No. But you will If You forget to attach the little vacune hose to the intake towards the front of the engine.

What type of gas do you use?
I usually go with middle grade. 89 octane. Depends on the price. I’ll get premium sometimes
