Have been to that *Ajax* store many a time, but because I already own far to many boomboxes, radio’s, micro-component systems etc. (a fact ‘my bird’ would be more than happy to let anyone who will listen know about, as well) 😋 I have never really paid there electronic section much mind. Looks promising though, so perhaps next time I will. And speaking of those bags along the wall, I absolutely love looking through them, as well. So much so, that based on the look of the box alone, I once bought a bag containing a deck of *Tarot cards* (among other things.) Came home ‘Googled’ the deck & found out that they were listed on eBay for anywhere between $40.00 to $50.00CAN. So for a mere lark, I listed mine on said platform for $45.00CAN & took a ‘best offer’ of $35.00CAN + shipping. So needless to say, I was quite chuffed. Considering that the entire bag & it contents cost me $3.99CAN in the first place. Well happy hunting, my friend. And if we ever cross path’s at one of the V.V.’s I will be happy to say ‘Hello’ to you, as well. Cheers!!!
Cheers for that comment, I’m guessing your located somewhere near Ajax Whitby Pickering, and yeh those baggies can be a gold mine. I am similar as you, I have plenty stuff already but I do love filming what they have, testing and sharing even if I don’t buy anything you never know who had what back in the day and reminiscing is just something we all love to do, if you see a 6 foot balding guy with a odd accent filming odd items at the test bench come say hi 👋
@@Thriftronics - No problem, my pleasure. And not to worry about your *”odd”* accent either. Because of the fact that both of my late parents hailed from *Scotland.* So both knowing & understanding different & unique accents is nothing new to me, at all. 😋 Speaking of boomboxes, because I have been trying my darnedest to gain some much needed space within these four walls of mine, I literally have just finished testing two I am currently looking to sell as a pair on FB Marketplace for what I think is a more than reasonable $20.00 for both. A *JVC PC-V77* & a *SONY CFS-3000.* So going out on a limp, might you possibly be interested, do let me know. In the meantime, a great night to you & yours. Cheers!!!

Hopefully you sell those fast 💨 I’m looking for the really early 80’s ones silver face VU meters would be nice, and a flip clock I’ve been after a flip clock forever but my budget is low as heck lol 😂 it’s all about the search as much as the find TBH
That RCA is cool. I have a larger RCA with double cassette, cd, removable two way speakers, 5 band eq. Sounds excellent and still going strong. I also have a GE clock radio with cassette in great condition and fully working i got for $5.99 ! Your store looks just like SAVERS in the US
Thanks Jason, Savers ehh, have to look that up, yeh I have 3 value village stores all within 10-30 mins travel and all 3 have great items on the daily
