You're a true gardener. Nothing is perfect, work with what you have, remain hopeful, don't sweat the mistakes, enjoy the success and carry on! A inspirational video. Thank you. Oh, I forgot always have extra batteries on hand for videos.
Do you have to water your oakleaf hydrangeas in the summer? I'm in zone 6b and we have dry, very shady north facing area that I would like to plant oakleaf hydrangea. Would they do well without watering in the hot, summer months?
Watch the ostrich ferns since the could take over a garden.....what kind of a camera do you use? Very nice garden...please update us in June or July...TFS
Just beautiful!
Gosh, that was interesting. Thanks for your time.

I use RU too, as little as I can. Love the spirea. I have areas with less sun than you have, so I always look at shade gardens.
would love to see updates!!
Love your garden 💚
thanks Stacey!
An IL native, in NC now, I came across your site by accident this morn (5/31/20). Enjoyed it...appreciated your narrative.
Love the sweet woodruff as a border. Hoping to see all your hydrangeas blooming in the fall. Hope you have a great summer!
I hope they bloom!! It was a rough winter and we had such a bad freeze in mid April. Fingers crossed!
I would love an update on the pachysandra. To mow or not to mow?
yes, it worked!
very nice

Sorry, but I don't think they would do well without water. Try to look for drought tolerant shrubs and perennials.

Very nice garden Mary - but i think you'll find that your 'spirea' is in fact Sorbus. :-)
They are huge lol
