hello Marty. this is really awesome. I've been watching your videos since yesterday and it is very informative and I'm learning a lot.
i just want to ask if you need to do the same steps if you want to make the logo/text appear as if it is pressed or embossed in the background photo/texture?
You can play with inner or outer bevels in Layer Styles.
very very incrível!!!

A❤M❤A❤Z❤I❤N❤G WORK.
A😎M😎A😎Z😎I😎N😎G VIDEO.
😀
thank you so much , i didn't pick the difference between this technique and the earlier tutorials that used a brick wall as displacement map..felt they are exactly the same, would you please highlight the difference..thank you
1. Adjusting the Levels of the displacement map accentuates the tonal range resulting in a better image. 2. Saving the displacement map separately prevents the re-naming of the original document. 3. Removing areas of the graphic using the Marquee Tool. 4. Adding layer styles with 0% Fill. 5. Creating a subtle depth using Pillow Emboss".
Blue Lightning TV Photoshop 😊 actually 1&2 are the improvements, I considered the rest as a whole new tutorial...great work, thank you for sharing
He's best
Now that you can get a depth map from any image in photoshop, thanks to the neural filter depth blur. it is perhaps a good time to revisit displacement maps?
In particular, I wonder if you could cover how to create a 3D version of any 2D by first creating a depth map with the neural filer, and then a left and right eye view using the displacement map? And perhaps finish off by turning the two views into an anaglyph, using the channel mixer, or layer styles..
While the depth maps that PS can now make give good left and right eye views and anaglyphs, if I make the latter in StereoPhoto Maker, I have not been able to get good results with the displacement filter in PS..
The unfortunate fact is that the beta version of depth blur isn't nearly at that point of accuracy.
@@BLTV_Photoshop Thanks Marty, for the reply.
I have made some experiments the last couple of days with the depth maps we can get out of the new depth blur neural filter. In short they suggest that the depth maps are often good enough to create a decent depth effect, at least when I take the image + the PS created depth map into StereoPhoto Maker, and make the left and right eye view there. If you are interested at all I can send you a couple of examples.
But I have not been able to get good results inside PS, by using the displacement filter - and I'm wondering why? Staying in PS would be preferable for workflow reasons.
The logo it self does not distort according to the folds and keeps the overall edges of the shape. Would it maybe be useful to use liquify or puppet warp to adress that?
nice Mary
Wow!
