I have a Jinhao and a Majohn A1 that I travel with for the reasons you described. It means if someone wants to borrow or try my pen, they don’t have to see me panic. And in the meantime I can pen-able someone into this new hobby! Please do a video on these inexpensive pens. They are controversial to some because of ideas about copyright infringement and ideas about “design stealing” but there are many people who are intimidated by the fountain pen hobby because of the cost of pens and these are truly budget-friendly. I think that if you did a video or set of videos about budget pens and planning, it would be really fun.
