i agree with everyone, you are a great teacher! Thanks so much for teaching this technique. I can't wait to start on these & watch the rest of this series. Thanks again!
hello Mary. I had the pleasure of taking some of your classes at my local quilt shop. I am thrilled to have found you here and will be doing each of your videos as a class to get me through these very trying times.
I need to make another video, but have been waiting for inspiration on how to move forward with my nine-patch blocks from the last video. I think I know how to proceed...now to make the time!!!! Thank you very much for sharing; it helps me keep moving forward too. I've been cleaning and wow do I have a lot of fabric to sew! I'm a wealthy woman. :)
I just rewatched this. When the world opened back up, I stopped making videos, but am thinking of making more. I love TH-cam and all the wonderful ideas and techniques people share.
You are such a good teacher! I can't wait to see how your channel develops. I found myself craning my neck to see around the edges of the screen, but I have the same problem making videos so I get it! I'm super excited to try this method -- and I have the same sewing machine you do!
I loved watching but when stacking fabrics before doing the curve, are they all right sides up? I use a lot of prints and low volume but need to know if right sides up for the cutting stack?
Thankyou. You explained it well. It feels so freeing
It is freeing!!!!
Very helpful. My previous attempts at curves have not gone well. Now I know why. Thank you.
I'm just not a precision piecer, and I love the freedom of free-cut piecing. You can always trim your units into blocks later if you want to. ;)
I love to work this way!

I really appreciate your encouragement! I hope to get back to making videos soon.
Thank you!!
Wow I’ve never seen this done you are so good! Thankyou for showing us.

@@ScraphappinessStudio Please do, I learned so much just from this video! Thank you.
@@lizdilley2024 It's a liberating way to work. I figured this out 23 years ago and knew I'd found my artistic voice. :)

I love my Juki, but I moved to my BabyLock for the videos lately. Making videos is an interesting adventure. What is the name of your channel?
@@ScraphappinessStudio I don't really have a channel, I just mean videos I've made for friends or Facebook. ❤️
@@SuzanneAtwood That's a lovely gift to your friends.

YES!
Thank you.
Great tutorial!
I love working this way.
Good tips! It’s the convex curve (being sewn into the seam) on the bottom, concave (stretchy) on top in the example shown.
Yes. It's much easier to sew with the stretchy edge on top. Yours,
Mary
Very helpful!!
I'm glad!

Hi Victoria, Yes, all right sides up!
