@@InspHigher got a blue card recently and I’m slinging for a civils company now on a big job in bond street.. not doing too bad. Ordered LOPA today, looking to gather abit more knowledge on lifting, mode factors etc.. 👍🏼

Hi Paul...I'm based up in Scotland, and most of my training is either direct to companies or carried out online. Liebherr is fairly local to you down there.
So you would recommend Doing Slinger, then lift supervisor and finally Appointed Person? Currently a slinger trying to progess in indrusty

It's not entirely necessary to do that...but it certainly leads to a more complete AP!
@InspHigher thanks for the reply! Just at the moment working with 360 telehandlers and smaller crawler cranes for a year now. My thought was got to learn how to walk before you run

Do I need to have experience in lifting to do this course?
Hi Dom, thanks for your comment. The awarding organisation does not require that you do; however, codes of practice state that someone in this role should 'have the necessary practical and theoretical knowledge and experience'.
