I think that Parallel Realms Should Also Give XP to Fighters when clearing floors, why that already isnt a thing is beyond me, trying to grind levels late game when you can only do 3 holodecks is already annoying
I completely agree with the Immunity aspect. As for the modifiers... I think they could be rotated each week and new modifiers would be hella interesting to play around... As for the Floors i think they could add more intentionality to it. For eg: the first floor is just a basic dps check. The second floor could be testing you on your combo skills and how far you can take it. The third floor a.k.a the most difficult could be testing your overall strategic competence... Your use of variants, modifiers, outtakes and so on.
tbh i think the rewards should be better and it should be a once in a week instead of 3 times a week, it takes to long, i also completly agree with the immunity stuff, it just makes it very boring and makes it impossible for newer players to stand a chance of doing any of the higher difficulties
I think the higher difficulties demanding a more developed collection is kind of the point; if a newer player can't clear the higher difficulties, they can pick a lower one and practice there until they're ready. No Mercy is purely endgame.
Your idea of having preset defense teams was what I thought they would be doing when I first heard about this mode. They wouldn't all have to be super synergistic, maybe even just themed on pallets or elements or something.
Some of the randomness also makes the game mode much easier to run through or outright prevents you from clearing it, depending on who you get, especially for the Boss Nodes. Assassin's Greed and Death Wish have been especially egregious for me, particularly AG as her signature ability has synergy with each boss node modifier. Constant regen, cycling obnoxious buffs, or a chance to make you bleed on hit, giving her regen. Awesome. Robo-fortune's Prestige also becomes problematic here thanks to the constant buffs the AI gets. If they get the prestige, and they easily can on the first floor, the reflect damage essentially forfeits your attempt.
I would also like to potentially get Diamond Keys from No Mercy mode, considering you essentially NEED a good collection of diamonds to get through it reliably. Snake Bite, Stand Out, and Shadow Puppet have been my go-to floor clearers by themselves.
@@retrogade0004No mercy has a chance for diamond key. As for my experience, it seems like a 70%chance gold key, 30%chance diamond key. Same with the relics, a 70%chance they are both premiere, 30%chance one of them is a jackpot.
@@retrogade0004 Sadly youve been getting the 70% all the time, but the chance IS there. Though when they asked us for feedback on the sgm survey I did say the probability was too low and the reward to not simply farming nightmarw should be that no mercy guarantees the diamond key. I hope they listen.
Weekly/monthly rotations of modifiers is a cool idea, same with more of the "balanced" meta modifiers like off tempo/scratching post but not the ott ones like dptb/frost armor/infected flesh that should remain exclusively in rift.
I agree with the need for realms to remain an extreme challenge especially at the highest difficulty and removing immunity would allow anyone to cheese with bleeds, but there are other non bleed fighters that need to inflict debuffs to be fun (galactic glamour, vintage, freeze frame etc..). I think a modifier that reduces the number of bleeds can be inflicted like max 1 bleed at a time or just negates bleed damage entirely could work (you could call it tolerance or something). Converting bleeds to regen would likely cause more issues and make other fighters unusable.
maybe if people could make nodes for the parallel realms, it would allow the community to collaborate to create a more interesting gamemode a given player's generated run could be filled with intentional designs that may prove to be true challenges, or maybe some fun theorycrafter's experiment, or even just a silly combo
expectation: the hardest content in the game reality: immunity snoozer Maybe to fulfill the hype of hardest content in the game, HVS should make a new ultra endgame "Grandmaster" difficulty that they can make as hard as they want. Instead of random variant maps, there is a set of maps the game chooses from per floor fully composed of immensely hard defenders. While stat boosts would remain the same as No Mercy (the stats are frankly plenty in terms of health pool and threat to the player), the nodes would have a wider range of effects and counters. With this setup the immunity can exist as one of many things to strategize for instead of just being a constant factor the whole time, and bosses can be more diverse. The artifact choice should also in this new difficulty have risk associated with them by adding a chance for an artifact to roll with "add X modifier to all remaining fights this floor". As the new hardest content in the game, the rewards would be a huge bump from No Mercy rewards structured as such: per fight 20 50k treats and 50k CC per boss 200 of each relic shard, 250k CC, and 100 theonite completion 1 gold key, 1 diamond key, 1 legendary relic, and 1000 rift coins
let me start off by saying I like parallel realms as a whole but in no way is it a perfect game mode. I don’t think immunity is bad however, some people have a problem w immunity acting as 2 buffs in 1. The AI doesn’t only get immunity but it removes all debuffs as it prompts (curse). Making every opponent a reverse uhost. The fact that the AI can gain this 2 for 1 debuff without any effort imo is a pretty “lazy” feature. My biggest gripe with PR is it’s gets boring quick. The rewards are lack luster For the effort you put in. And the fact that you don’t gain any XP is quite ridiculous to me. every game mode including rifts should reward XP.
they give exp treats tho, which is a lot better imo cuz parallel in higher difficulty is so hard to finish without fully leveled fighters (or at least high level fighters)
There's currently no real reason to map out a path either. you just get to pick the easier fight and continue. An idea would to have optional character specific nodes that is more rewarding, or, what in this genre is mostly called 'elite' nodes. I dislike the current layout as its just irrelevant at the end of the day
That's a good point actually. I had the idea of an 'optional' boss node that is meant to be notoriously difficult (more of a puzzle rather than an arbitrary difficulty) but gives exclusive rewards when clearing it.
I do dislike the fact that most of the artifacts that sound great on paper are unable to be utilized in No Mercy due to Immunity being consistent. A lot of the artifacts are pretty useful and look fun to experiment with but No Mercy makes the artifacts not too great. All in all, Immunity makes No Mercy makes it feel like a chore and anxiety inducing for people who are just wanting the rewards. I understand the viewpoint on "Pre-Set", however, I feel for more of the fresher level 70 players do struggle with arena defense teams that include meta defenses. So having that in place could cause problems when inflated stats are included. These are merely my opinions.
If there's one thing I absolutely hate about Parallel realms, is that one Overclocked in No Mercy that keeps spamming bursts and triggering her prestige before I can even bleed her out with TFC on Fillia. Ugh. Not to mention the immunity! I can't even get any debuff strategies going because of it!
No mercy sounds like crazy difficult AI and dying to blocked hits, with huge workarounds to modifiers (like the aegis one from master AoW). Not timing out every attempt because you got a SI Assgreed DW node as the boss of the first floor 💀💀💀
Oh, we're giving ideas on Parallel Realms? Let me give you a bad one: - Remove invincibility, but make the character select random but with the twist that it won't be the character from your roster, but someone else's. That way it could be challenging and you could use all the variants, again it's a bad idea.
Share your thoughts on the mode below!!
I agree completely with the perma inmunity issue, it makes the game less skullgirls mobile, like why you can't use most of your variants?
@@DarenKajiWolf totally agree!
Totally agree with you.

Why would you want to do it less when if you botch a run it’s gone

also i'm thinking the players should be able to choose the modifiers for the fight, like catalysts but given the actual dev-only modifiers
As a highest difficulty, i think it must be hard/unbeatable without specific characters or moves. Although i don't know how they can buff it.
