Purple would have better suited Masters. I would have made Sabotage gold or silver. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath too. This was the zenith of creativity for the original lineup. It would have been nice to see Live at Last included in the box. Also hope to see a reissue box set for the 1980-1994 era.

Absolute amateur handling of the vinyl but when the set is provided for free (ref; scratched out barcodes on jackets) , no need to fuss over condition. Nice to see them all in detail although I'm not a fan of colored wax or albums that have been reissued more times than I can count. Rhino did a great job with the gatefolds, nice overview.
They should switch the colors of the vinyls for Master of Reality and Sabotage
Is vinyl becoming trendy again or do people really like the sound of vinyl? Me personally, I like the sound of vinyl, plus the album artwork just looks much better, almost like a painnting. Really worth the money if you ask me

Won't lie, I've been wanting to get into vinyl. Part of me really wants to, but then part of me feels like I shouldn't just because, where would I put it all? I agree that the artwork looks amazing on vinyl covers though.

Love the look of Vol 4, SBS and Technical Ecstasy, but I feel like all the vinyl colours should have matched the iconic parts of the album art. You'd expect Black Sabbath - beige/brown, Paranoid - Red, Master of Reality - Purple and Never Say Die - Sky Blue (it's almost there but more grey than blue).
never say die, changed my life, some odd reason I love that album, it's so weird, and obscure like you never heard before, title track was the blueprint sound of what was to be later called "glam metal" so you see the oz man brings in another genre without knowing it, not to mention iommi as the main predecessor.

All great albums, of course. I hope someday they keep going and eventually release the entire catalog. The Dio era Sabbath is worth buying on vinyl as well.

The Masters of Reality Vinyl that I bought recently new came with a poster also. Guess they got rid of that with the new colored vinyl reissues.

Dont pinch the lip of the record! Oils from your finger will get on the stylus once you set it down on the record! Then it carries the oils through the grooves as it goes , and the heat generated will fuse dirt/dust to it, and wear the sound of the record!

I got ALL of them, they sound great except for Vol. 4 which sounds really thin and brittle, Technical Ecstasy has the worst quality (not sound-wise but in vinyl because it skips and it came in warped).

They have the Technicalk Ecstacy blueprints but not th3e NSD blueprints? Just an odd omission. Also I am a HUGE fan also of Sabotage album, but why a gatefold? It was nevr. Neither was TE. Should have the originals as original as possible, and add extras on the side, withoout changing the original packaging concept. You do that and it becomes nostalgic re-imagining that does nothing to add value.

Went to see Sabbath last week, got stuck in traffic for an hour, took a hit of bud in the car, got to my seat and ozzy says "thank you goodnight".... im like fuck! then i realize he says this after every song, so its cool. Then they do a few more songs before going into Hand of Doom, so the folks around us start lighting up, i get passed a joint and take a hit, and it was either low blood sugar, heat exhaustion, or some laced mary jane, but i blackout out and got carried out in a wheelchair. I was pretty fucked up so we left the show. On the very first show of Sabbaths final tour. At least i have a good story.
You'll have a chance to see them on their next final tour.

SprodeZz- Ever since Ozzy came back, every tour they had was rumored to be the last. I'll believe that it was their last tour the day they announce that Black Sabbath is officially over. And then cry, because Black Sabbath will be over.

You don't handle the vinyl the proper way. Do not touch the vinyl except on the edges. The way you handle them they get fat from the fingers that will eventually have dust in them and you will hear scratches and so on. Just a little tips from a collector of these items. All the best! Black Sabbath rule!
i wonder how planet caravan and bloody sabbath sound with that remaster
I got the blue Paranoid remaster, and Planet Caravan sounded pretty good... not so sure about Sabbath Bloody Sabbath though.

For everyone saying that the 'Master Of Reality' vinyl should've been purple, let me point this out. Coloured vinyl doesn't sound nowhere near as good as traditional black vinyl. Fact!!!
I lstened to a sample of Paranoid (on blue vinyl) and I can confirm it sounded good. It depends on how it's pressed and if you're lucky enough to get a quality copy.
Colored vinyl are made from the same PVC pellets that black vinyl are made from, except they're colored. So no, your statement is not "fact".
Blake L is absolutely correct! and to add to that colored vinyl is almost always virgin pvc. Black vinyl alot of times is made with a portion of recycled pvc. Quality of sound with records comes from how it was mastered and pressed.

Also you can probably get all the original presses a lot cheaper than what they are selling these represses.
Have you seen how much original pressings are going for these days? That's why reissues are an affordable compromise.
It’s easier to find reissued vinyl, I get what you’re saying about the mastering quality but at least with a reissue pressing you shouldn’t have any problems with play, sometimes you get a first pressing and it sounds like shit cuz it’s 50years old and is scratched to hell, reissues May sound slightly different from a first pressing but it’s not gonna be nearly as noisy as an original pressing you find at a local used record store, and some people don’t have access to record stores and probably don’t want to risk but some price of shit scratched up vinyl online just to realize it was a waste of money. I bought a first pressing paranoid and it’s fucked up, I didn’t really care tho cuz it was 3 bucks, I just got it to have it but I really want a paranoid album that I know is gonna play I’ll get a reissue. I wouldn’t really call it a cash grab. Vinyl is coming back and their albums probably aren’t that easy for most people to find, so it’s nice to have brand new vinyl to choose from instead of rolling the dice and possibly getting a fucked up disc

Garbage reissues, just track down good condition originals they sound sooooo much better. Original Vertigo pressings are the ones to get or the original WWA pressings that use the Vertigo stampers.
It’s easier to get a 25$ reissue on rhino than shelling out hundred(s) of dollars for one lp in this condition on a vertigo swirl. Not everybody shits money.
