Speaking of weird laws.... NEVER tie your elephant to a parking meter here in Florida! 😊
THATS WEIRD-
That means I brake this law every day I go somewhere cus I have to park my elephant you know.
Why would anyone have an elephant?
Wait, waht 😮
Man, elephants are one of the best forms of transportation!
4:21 That just screams of government overreach (and an overly litigious society). Why not just age restrict them if parents can’t be trusted to supervise their kids when opening candy with a warning label on it. Do you know how many kids eat Lego pieces and marbles every year? There’s a difference between being safe and just stupid.
Age restricting doesn't do anything but keep stores from selling to those under the posted age. Teens are still drinking, smoking, playing mature video games and watching R-rated films.
@@notorioustori But they still sell those products. It makes more sense to restrict the sale of a candy with a prize inside to older kids than to ban it and make it illegal to import. If I have to wave down a cashier every time I buy cough syrup or go to the pharmacist if I want real Sudafed, there’s a workaround for people to Kinder Surprise
I’m kind of surprised that you didn’t include the British law about it being illegal to handle a salmon under suspicious circumstances.
He mentioned that in the last "weird laws" video.
4:43 No, what’s extreme is a nationwide ban on an entire candy because someone with a two year old isn’t responsible enough to read warning labels.
Sadly many parents are that stupid
There are plenty of parents with 2 year olds who are not responsible enough or cannot read warning labels!
@@geofjones9by this logic you should ban like… 99% of things?
Also… firearms
@geofjones9 is that America 2 year olds? Apparently the rest of the world's 2 year olds have managed to dodge this lethal complication.
In this litigious nation, I believe this ban is necessary. Not because of any potential harm, but to prevent frivolous lawsuits.

Fun facts. In Denmark, censorship is illegal, according to the constitution.
So if you buy a porn product from, for example, Japan with the intention of resale, then it must not be censored.
How this can be done is a mystery to me. And you really shouldn't believe it's happening. There is not really anyone in the whole of Denmark who follows that law. We have started censoring old movies, even though it is illegal.
In Denmark, the law is only a proposal until the police say otherwise. Which they often do with violence and without any punishment. They have harassed a family over 100 times, arrested without justification, broken limbs while in custody, made a 16 year old ... disappear without a trace, made illegal intrusions, threatened and attempted forced removal of children, and we are still only talking about one family. Not one officer received a single penalty.
Thats is kinda dumb because what if kids see it?? Good thing they censor old movies tho
Looked what happened over the fictional character allah 😂😂
@@BluMeli in Europe, they seem to want kids to see it....
@@kmcd3020 Allah is no more fictitious than Yahweh or Jehovah.
There are over 20,000 ways to believe in god and if you ask me, that is the ultimate proof that he doesn't exist. Belief in God has existed for 2,746 years. This means that every 50 days, there was a new way of believing in the same god. God must have serious PMS, and refuse to admit mistakes.
It could also just be that he is fake and a huge lie that has had huge consequences on history and the world. Totally like the company's technophobia.

I think it's criminal you've asked us to vote for our favourite narrator when you're both awesome ❤ I actually had a carer here (in the UK) from Nigeria who was pretty spooked when my gardener turned up in camouflage trousers. Given I have tie dye camouflage tops I was really surprised to hear of his experiences as it's not common knowledge and it didn't seem his colleagues had the same bad experiences. As for controlling chickens, it is up to the owners to always be responsible for their animal husbandry but my chickens were little sods at being escape artists And they loved to come inside my cottage too and hang out with the cats and me. Fun but weird 😂
Even as a Nigerian living there for 9 years, I didn't even know that people aren't allowed to wear camo.😂
Asin. I was born and have been living here for the past 15 years of my life and I had no idea that it's illegal. Like, my friends and I wear camo all the time and no one has ever arrested us for it.
Maybe it's because we're just a bunch of kids.
In a few cities in Norway its illegal to sing or dance in parks. Having a game is also illegal. This is very old laws and today, police dont bother...

@@janhansen554 I see.
Hvor har du det fra?
For the Autobahn, you need a novel to actually drive on it. There are tiny cameras down each side and will mail you a ticket. It has huge digital boards as well that have so many rules on them. No over taking a car, it tells you the pitch of the hills and mountains, it tells you the temp, the % of slickness, etc.. so all these things change on every damn board you go under. It’s a lot. So ya, you can’t just go zooming around.
But it's actually quite wonderful. Dynamic speed limits that automatically adjust for driving conditions and traffic jams ahead. It actually works really well. And the whole speed trap culture of policing is non-existent because it appears that the police aren't allowed to keep any portion of the fines/money they collect.
13:07 1) Some of the things Jesus said were metaphorical and not meant to be taken literally. 2) While the Bible clearly emphasizes the importance of faith, it also says, “Do not test the Lord thy God,” (ie trust that God will help you when you need it, but don’t buy yourself in danger in an attempt to prove God or your faith).

I wish the Canadian change applied to the UK. Someone I know has purposely tried to use shops to change large amounts of pennies into pound coins that amount to about £20 - £50. We have banks and post offices for that, buy a product and make sure you have the appropriate change.
If you have time, just go reaaalllly slow, I'm getting paid to stand there and count change, they aren't.
It's actually within a shop owner/worker's right to turn down a lot of coins for payment, in the UK. If you've got a lot of pennies or other coins, you can get notes from machines in some supermarkets. Just put your coins in it and it either dishes out the highest denomination coins that will make up the amount, or give you a receipt which you can take to the checkout for the same thing.
I'm not 100% sure if its law but I've heard that 100 of each coin is the legal limit BUT store owners have the right to refuse a sale, I've worked in retail for 20 years of my life and still didnt know this for sure xD
@y_fam_goeglyd the UK is behind the US we have in our supermarkets coins star we've had it for several years now
I would just take my time, and "lose count" repeatedly and have to restart. Perhaps I'd be done before my shift ends. Then again, perhaps not.
2:21 I don’t think selling gum should be legal, but if penalties for littering and graffiti were a lot higher, we’d have a much cleaner country
I would argue a cleaner world. Since people are nothing but monsters in disguise
Thailand is nuts.
Meh there are 500$ fines for littering around here and people still do it all the time. The issue isn't price, it's enforcement, the cops are either to swamped with other issues or just don't give af, but either way they don't bother to write tickets for littering
A crime that isn't enforced isn't a crime
@@christopherjones8448
You are correct. It would have zero efficacy if it wasn’t enforced; however, if it was strictly (and very publicly) enforced, I think it would be a valid deterrent. Remember that kid decades ago who got caned for vandalizing cars with spray paint? I think that was Singapore, too.
Chicago’s solution was to ban the selling in the city. But when you can go 5 minutes and buy it in a suburb… It doesn’t do much if there’s no enforcement.
In Germany shops are also allowed to refuse payment in too many coins. Not sure if it is a full law, but be prepared that shops refuse cash if you try to pay in too many coins...
It's actually a European Council Regulation (No. 974/98 - Article 11): … Except for the issuing authority and for those persons specifically designated by the national legislation of the issuing Member State, no party shall be obliged to accept more than 50 coins in any single payment.
I think twenty coins is the average limit of tolerance in Germany... .
There is also a tradition to pay for bridal shoes in only the smallest one penny or one Euro cent coin... . That way, we get around not having to put a penny into the shoe on the big day... .
Only way to really judge which team I prefer, would be to have Wesley and Jay do the same subject matter in comparison video. So, for example, have each do the video about craziest law for each state or laws within one state. Then, it would be compareable. Each team, does different subject matter, so if someone has interest in a subject matter, then they would be whichever team did that video. But if both teams did videos on same subject matter, then each team style would be more apparent by style instead of subject matter.

That Canadian coin law only refers to loose change. Rolls of coin are generally accepted, however you may need to provide your address and/or phone number and name just in case the roll was short a few coins. Also, Pennies have not been used in Canada for quite a number of years, so the limit on pennies is no longer an issue.
If only the United States would phase out pennies like Canada has.
