4:21 That just screams of government overreach (and an overly litigious society). Why not just age restrict them if parents can’t be trusted to supervise their kids when opening candy with a warning label on it. Do you know how many kids eat Lego pieces and marbles every year? There’s a difference between being safe and just stupid.

    • @notorioustori

Age restricting doesn't do anything but keep stores from selling to those under the posted age. Teens are still drinking, smoking, playing mature video games and watching R-rated films.

@@notorioustori But they still sell those products. It makes more sense to restrict the sale of a candy with a prize inside to older kids than to ban it and make it illegal to import. If I have to wave down a cashier every time I buy cough syrup or go to the pharmacist if I want real Sudafed, there’s a workaround for people to Kinder Surprise

Exactly. It's another example of trading freedom for "security". Now even adults who KNOW what a Kinder Surprise is, can't buy one because it's a choking hazard to children? Make it make sense.

Given I have tie dye camouflage tops I was really surprised to hear of his experiences as it's not common knowledge and it didn't seem his colleagues had the same bad experiences. As for controlling chickens, it is up to the owners to always be responsible for their animal husbandry but my chickens were little sods at being escape artists And they loved to come inside my cottage too and hang out with the cats and me. Fun facts. In Denmark, censorship is illegal, according to the constitution.
So if you buy a porn product from, for example, Japan with the intention of resale, then it must not be censored.
How this can be done is a mystery to me. And you really shouldn't believe it's happening. There is not really anyone in the whole of Denmark who follows that law. We have started censoring old movies, even though it is illegal.
In Denmark, the law is only a proposal until the police say otherwise. Which they often do with violence and without any punishment. They have harassed a family over 100 times, arrested without justification, broken limbs while in custody, made a 16 year old ... disappear without a trace, made illegal intrusions, threatened and attempted forced removal of children, and we are still only talking about one family. Not one officer received a single penalty.

For the Autobahn, you need a novel to actually drive on it. There are tiny cameras down each side and will mail you a ticket. It has huge digital boards as well that have so many rules on them. No over taking a car, it tells you the pitch of the hills and mountains, it tells you the temp, the % of slickness, etc.. so all these things change on every damn board you go under. It’s a lot. So ya, you can’t just go zooming around.

So taking a snake and not being bit, as well as drinking poison and being fine, are supposed to mean that if you follow God that nothing the devil and other demons do can kill you.

    • @annonymat

@@geofjones9 Yes, you are correct. But there is a legal distinction in the US between government and private transactions. Businesses can refuse whatever bill or coin they want.
That's so grannies don't hold up the line, when fumbling with pennies and so that they can make a blanket ban on frequently counterfeit bills in their stores.
Government run public institutions have a policy, on the other hand, that says they have to accept all legal tender as long as it's not defaced, since it's them issuing the debt in the first place.

While in the US coinage does have unlimited legal tender status, that doesn't mean that someone HAS to accept large amounts of coins. There is no law that REQUIRES any one to accept legal tender at all. And contrary to popular belief, refusing legal tender does NOT cancel a debt. You still owe it. So they could have just refused to accept the coins for you that fine.

about singapore, u can actually bring in gum for personal use from other countries! if you’re travelling and you have left over gum or just want to chew on some in sg, it’s perfectly legal. the law only prohibits selling and buying it in singapore itself. i’ve done it before in customs and they haven’t once questioned me :) also the reason why it was banned was because people stuck it in the train doors, which meant the doors couldn’t close and millions of damage was caused, not only that but it was a safety hazard, and there was gum everywhere, on walls, lift doors, and even after issuing warnings no one listened. so the government had to take matters into their hands and ban it.

The kinder egg thing isn’t as restrictive as you might think. I brought a box of them from Germany. I had no idea back then that they were illegal. So, I told the guy in customs they were for my Dad. He just made me promise I wouldn’t give them to a kid. I then told him I wouldn’t give one to the first kid I saw. We laughed and I walked away with my eggs.

In America, the Monolith Burger Fun Meal scenario in "Space Quest III" would be illegal! This is because, in that Fun Meal, the burger patty contained a completely inedible object: a decoder ring. The main character, Roger Wilco, found this out the hard way as he accidentally bit onto that decoder ring while eating his burger. The reason the nifty toys included in the McDonald's Happy Meals are legal is that those toys and their packages are NOT incorporated into any of the foods themselves.
