I wish the Canadian change applied to the UK. Someone I know has purposely tried to use shops to change large amounts of pennies into pound coins that amount to about £20 - £50. We have banks and post offices for that, buy a product and make sure you have the appropriate change.
It's actually within a shop owner/worker's right to turn down a lot of coins for payment, in the UK. If you've got a lot of pennies or other coins, you can get notes from machines in some supermarkets. Just put your coins in it and it either dishes out the highest denomination coins that will make up the amount, or give you a receipt which you can take to the checkout for the same thing.
I'm not 100% sure if its law but I've heard that 100 of each coin is the legal limit BUT store owners have the right to refuse a sale, I've worked in retail for 20 years of my life and still didnt know this for sure xD
In Canada, Production of the penny ceased in May 2012, and the Royal Canadian Mint ceased distribution of them as of February 4, 2013. However, the coin remains legal tender. Most people use Debit these days. .

That Canadian coin law only refers to loose change. Also, Pennies have not been used in Canada for quite a number of years, so the limit on pennies is no longer an issue.
The gum problem is easy to solve. I keep the wrapper and use it to wrap up the gum before tossing it in the trash. You don't need to make gum illegal, just make gum dispensers illegal. That includes the tiny pocket ones.

For the Christian snake one, that verse is literally supposed to be metaphorical. Since in the bible snakes are often used to replace the devil or demons in general in metaphors. So taking a snake and not being bit, as well as drinking poison and being fine, are supposed to mean that if you follow God that nothing the devil and other demons do can kill you.

In America, private businesses CAN REFUSE payment in any form they want. The university was only forced to accept the coins because it's a government entity, so the refusal clause does not apply to them ;)
Your paper money states that it is legal tender for all debts, public and private. That means it is illegal to refuse U.S. paper money. A truckload of coins could probably be refused.
@@geofjones9 Yes, you are correct. But there is a legal distinction in the US between government and private transactions. Businesses can refuse whatever bill or coin they want. That's so grannies don't hold up the line, when fumbling with pennies and so that they can make a blanket ban on frequently counterfeit bills in their stores. Government run public institutions have a policy, on the other hand, that says they have to accept all legal tender as long as it's not defaced, since it's them issuing the debt in the first place. Pretty cool, right?

But it's actually quite wonderful. Dynamic speed limits that automatically adjust for driving conditions and traffic jams ahead. It actually works really well. He was a *snake* A snake is portrayed as a deceptive creature or trickster (which is proven from Satan's attempts and succeeds on sinning against God to eat the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil), who promotes as good what God had forbidden and shows particular cunning in its deception. By accepting God's word and believing in Him, no strength of any snake bite or severity of the poison from it can harm you. While in the US coinage does have unlimited legal tender status, that doesn't mean that someone HAS to accept large amounts of coins. There is no law that REQUIRES any one to accept legal tender at all. And contrary to popular belief, refusing legal tender does NOT cancel a debt. You still owe it. I wish the Canadian change applied to the UK. Someone I know has purposely tried to use shops to change large amounts of pennies into pound coins that amount to about £20 - £50. We have banks and post offices for that, buy a product and make sure you have the appropriate change.
If you have time, just go reaaalllly slow, I'm getting paid to stand there and count change, they aren't.
@y_fam_goeglyd the UK is behind the US we have in our supermarkets coins star we've had it for several years now
I would just take my time, and "lose count" repeatedly and have to restart. Perhaps I'd be done before my shift ends. Then again, perhaps not.
Both of y'all are amazing, both have relaxing voicing that keep me coming for more videos to watch ^^
Sometimes (stupid) laws are made to be broken
YES
Yeah. Sometimes.
What do you mean sometimes. Oh crap...
@@xXkubiX Well. For the explanation, what happens is that some laws are just plain dumb and nonsensical.
In Canada, Production of the penny ceased in May 2012, and the Royal Canadian Mint ceased distribution of them as of February 4, 2013. However, the coin remains legal tender.
Most people use Debit these days. .
700-pound bears weren't ever wrestled in Louisiana. It was always black bears. They don't get that big. My grandfather wrestled a 300-pound black bear at a 1949 Parish fair. He won three rounds out of three.
Wow your grandfather must be a champ at wrestling!
Shame on him
Impressive
dayum
He had to win 3 out of 3 losing once to a bear is probably permanent
24:50 these limits are rarely enforced, and usually if paid for by a child then the vendor usually just helps them count it out. we don't have pennies anymore, they stopped making them in 2013.
Why did the chicken cross the road? To prove to the opossum it COULD be done. I was briefly a DJ in Chicago, and ran a "Bird on the head" contest--the first to appear gets the prize. The winner? Stole an origami bird from her roommates' door.
Everyone knows that the chicken crossed the road to get away from The Colonel and his employees.
I like both of you. You 2 brought a combination of facts and excellent jokes wich is kinda a god send to those who get what ya say.^^
Your videos always entertain us Be Amazed! Keep up the awesome work!
"chewing gum consumption is not illegal in Singapore. The ban primarily focuses on the importation and sale of chewing gum"
2:21 I don’t think selling gum should be legal, but if penalties for littering and graffiti were a lot higher, we’d have a much cleaner country
I would argue a cleaner world. Since people are nothing but monsters in disguise
Thailand is nuts.
Meh there are 500$ fines for littering around here and people still do it all the time. The issue isn't price, it's enforcement, the cops are either to swamped with other issues or just don't give af, but either way they don't bother to write tickets for littering
A crime that isn't enforced isn't a crime
@@christopherjones8448
You are correct. It would have zero efficacy if it wasn’t enforced; however, if it was strictly (and very publicly) enforced, I think it would be a valid deterrent. Remember that kid decades ago who got caned for vandalizing cars with spray paint? I think that was Singapore, too.
Chicago’s solution was to ban the selling in the city. But when you can go 5 minutes and buy it in a suburb… It doesn’t do much if there’s no enforcement.
I can't open the survey but I like both narrators. Wesley's voice sounds more sexy though and that makes his silly jokes sound funnier. Love you both, guys. Keep the videos coming, you're my favorite compilations channel ❤
That Canadian coin law only refers to loose change. Rolls of coin are generally accepted, however you may need to provide your address and/or phone number and name just in case the roll was short a few coins. Also, Pennies have not been used in Canada for quite a number of years, so the limit on pennies is no longer an issue.
If only the United States would phase out pennies like Canada has.
As a Canadian I now see why my mom says I can only use a certain amount of change when buying things.
The gum problem is easy to solve. I keep the wrapper and use it to wrap up the gum before tossing it in the trash. You don't need to make gum illegal, just make gum dispensers illegal. That includes the tiny pocket ones.
That sounds easy enough unless you have small children.
but the thing is ppl tend to thriw gums on the floor and some mischievous ppl purposely paste on the train door which prevent it from functioning n cost lots of money to remove it
Make stupid 🤪 laws illegal instaed.
It doesnt feel right being this early
I know I’m the 10th person to comment
Him: "you might think wearing double (idk how to spell it) or wearing socks with sandals"
Demon slayer and other Chinese animes "AM I A JOKE TO YOU?"
Why did no one like or comment this?
I love Kinder eggs! I think it's insane how Americans think they're dangerous (but not firearms)and Brits think they're fine 😂
I'm from America and I don't understand Americans myself lol
Yeah I remember the first time I tried a "Kinder egg" (Why is it called child egg btw?) it was very confusing since I heard it was a big piece of chocolate with a toy inside which obviously mine wasn't. I googled it and was even more confused how I ended up in this strange bizarro world where a freaking chocolate egg is deemed to hazardous to sell
We have more stupid people and they breed.
I'm sorry Jay, but I like Wesley better, he just has that relaxing tone in his voice, kind of like Morgan Freeman.

@@isaactionThe guy who is currently narrating this video has a better tone and is more enjoyable to listen to than the other guy, in my opinion.
8:54 THE OTHER PIGS IS CRAZY
Fun Fact, in the Bible, "snakes" and " drinking poison" are often used as a euphemism for liars, thieves, or other "snakes in the grass."
Being thicc is never illegal in my book 😏
AYOOOO WTF
Then you should be arrested for being an accessory to criminal activity.

For the Autobahn, you need a novel to actually drive on it. There are tiny cameras down each side and will mail you a ticket. It has huge digital boards as well that have so many rules on them. No over taking a car, it tells you the pitch of the hills and mountains, it tells you the temp, the % of slickness, etc.. so all these things change on every damn board you go under. It’s a lot. So ya, you can’t just go zooming around.
But it's actually quite wonderful. Dynamic speed limits that automatically adjust for driving conditions and traffic jams ahead. It actually works really well. And the whole speed trap culture of policing is non-existent because it appears that the police aren't allowed to keep any portion of the fines/money they collect.
Let's hope that that don't get fired
5:26 considering we’re at a point where insurance will actually pay for weight loss surgery, this doesn’t sound like a bad idea. Granted, there should be allowances for people with certain medical conditions, but… If you’re gonna keep people from buying chocolate with a little toy inside…
I think a certain mukbang youtuber would rather die due to bad health then working out
What insurance do you have that pays for weight loss surgery?
@@Erinyes999
Thankfully I’ve never needed it, but a friend of mine had it (and never lost any weight because he didn’t really follow the guidelines - didn’t change what he ate, just ate less of real bad stuff and regurgitated a lot).
Although I think he had Blue Cross Blue Shield. But, I mean, he was a big guy. A bunch of us went out one night and got a caravan taxi home, and he got stuck in the back.
Being fat should be illegal in North America as it’s become a medical plague. Although I do enjoy laughing at them it’s at least 75% of the population so my cheeks are hurting all the time.
I should send my brother to Japan. He eats all of my food so much.
That's a bit horrible to say.
Lol
🤣Haha, That's Funny!
Japan hasn’t really made it illegal to be fat, they just enforce a rule that fat people in their workforce, provided their waist is too large, are required to take weight loss classes funded by their employers.
Therefore, I ask, You want your brother to be a little more fit right?
@@RealZerenaFan Sorry. :(
How about this for a weird law. I can no longer find the site that I found this law in, but apparently in SEVERAL of the landlocked states, it's illegal to hunt whales
Prepare to put Oklahoma's antifurry law on here. (Idc about it but hey silly law) 😂
Bringing snakes into Church?
In the beginning, Adam and Eve were told by God to not eat the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil. Satan attempts to trick them (specifically Eve) to eat the fruit, and what was he when he did so? He was a *snake*
A snake is portrayed as a deceptive creature or trickster (which is proven from Satan's attempts and succeeds on sinning against God to eat the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil), who promotes as good what God had forbidden and shows particular cunning in its deception. By accepting God's word and believing in Him, no strength of any snake bite or severity of the poison from it can harm you.
Only God can prove that however, but as long as we believe that what He says is the truth, then we would gain immunity from whatever pain snakes and everything else for that matter would inflict on us. He is real, and he will guard over us, forever and always
Rudeness should be illegal😞

Many jurisdictions are now considering laws prohibiting ducks from being anywhere near hospitals and doctors' offices. Doctors are complaining about ducks calling them nasty and offensive names. At a hospital, I once witnessed this insulting behavior. I saw some doctors walking by and saw and heard a duck yelling, "Quack! quack! quack!"

Jesus never told people that they could pick up snakes and be safe. That comes from a later addition to the final chapter of the gospel according to Mark. Snake handling is not part of Christianity.
My grandma brought 6 boxes of kinder suprise eggs into the US last year lol. I dont think she knew there was 1,200 dollar fine per egg but she didnt get caught and they tasted good lol
There are so many better chocolates to be flown over from Germany though. That's like me flying Dollar Tree knockoffs of Little Debbie cakes to Europe.
Paying for anything with a large amount of coins pisses off the clerk who must count them. Word spreads, and the cops are now ready to target people who do so.
The Camouflage law is just crazy! 😱
Agreed. Among family and coworkers I am "The Camo Guy"! I wear some item of camo or "Army Green" everyday. And I'm exNavy! 😅

There are no gradient shades of unique. Unique means something that stands alone. Like the queen of hearts in a card deck. You can say something is almost unique, but you can't correctly say, something is slightly unique or partially unique. A given thing is either unique, or it isn't.

In my opinion, Mark 16: 18 is referring to the enemy and its tactics. “ 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”” Mark 16: 17-18 NIV

So they could have just refused to accept the coins for you that fine.
