One of my favorite times for dressing up for Halloween was my junior year of high school. I went to the Halloween dance dressed up as Velma Dinkley. I had a book and a Scrappy-Doo plush with me. For Halloween 2021, I dressed up as Linkle from the Hyrule Warriors game. She used two small crossbows for her weapons. I had to improvise by taking out my Nerf bow. It was a lot of fun. 😊
I'm not sure what my favorite costume is, but i really treasure the one in my childhood where me, my sister, and our friend were England, Canada, and America from Hetalia. Last year I was MGS3 Revolver Ocelot, and this year I was the superior clone Solid Snake! I even had a lil box for my candy
My favorite was being a princess...back then we had parades in costume at school...I LOVED it! So fun and so cool. Apparently they no longer do that. All 3 of my kids were in marching band, so they dressed up for games during October... Good memories ❤ as an adult, I made my own raggedy ann costume, complete with a red yarn wig 💋🥰
When I was 8 our Cub Scout Pack had an annual Halloween party. I wanted to go as The Wolfman, but not with a mask. My parents drove me to a makeup shop in uptown Whittier, CA to get the supplies. My older brother, who is 15 years older than me, did the makeup. He used putty for the nose, and spirit gum to put strands of hair on me until he built up the look we wanted. Won first prize, but all I really remember is it hurting like a sunovabeech taking all the hair off that night!
The very best Halloween costume that I wore when I was 6 was my Queen Amidala costume from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. My face was painted, I had the wig and robe and it looked incredible 😊
I remember the Halloween after Guardians of the Galaxy 2 came out, I dressed up as Mary Poppins. No, I did not paint my face blue like Yondu for it. But I had a little black skirt, a blouse, a black blazer, a fancy hat, an umbrella, a bag that my mom lent me that sort of passed as a carpet bag, and a white clip-on bowtie that I coloured red to look like an actual Mary Poppins bowtie. And I went around my school, and in every classroom I walked into, I just said, "I'M MARY POPPINS, Y'ALL!"
I had a few Halloween costumes I liked but not sure of my favorite. One, I went out as a witch and another time as a vampire. My dad though, he told me when he was 6 or 7, he went out as Wonder Woman. I wish there were pictures.
Love when you talk about your dad! Saw a movie he was in as part of my #Spooktober viewing. It was Zombies On Broadway and according to imdb, he plays Wimp (uncredited). My favorite Halloween costume is not one that I wore but one that I saw, The Morton Salt Girl, complete with knee high white boots and white umbrella.
Hi Cam, great shirt (envy time, where did you get it?)! Unfortunately I don't get to celebrate Halloween where I am but sometimes I wear an eyepatch as Big Platypus! Enjoying the Camtober memories!
Cam! I am working on a video chronicling growing up with metal gear. It's going to be a banger! How can I get in touch with you regarding narrating a few lines for me maybe?

I’m so happy that you finally met Kristopher Taylor!
Such great memories Cam, thank you! My two faves were dressing as Cousin Itt, and the mandatory “bum”-lol!
