Thank you so much for providing beneficial information. It reminds me of Galuminium. It 's a well-experienced manufacturer for aluminum extrusions, aluminium windows, aluminium doors, aluminum curtain wall, etc

Can it be a continuous process instead of batch process ? We want to anodise alluminium strips or wires.

Anyone have a simple yet effective at home process all I'm seeing is a how to get colored metal I'm more interested in maximizing corrosion resistance

a bit late, but here goes, start with a good alloy, 6061 is a good choice, keep the anodize tank between 35 and 45 Fahrenheit, put it on thick, to do that you need to know the square inches of your parts, then square inches multiplied by 25 and divided by 144, that will tell you how many amps you need, say you have 26 square inches, that would be 4.5 amps per part, then its just time, 2 hours should get you around .0017 to .002, depending on the load in the tank and how good of a connection the part has on the rack, if you dont have a good connection the part will burn.

Hello Everyone, I have a problem with anodising the pressure casting aluminium, means the alloy with high silicon contain (Si>6%). Does anybody tried this? Which parameter could be a problem, which should be combined?

if aluminium object is set as the anode, why doesn't the Al metal oxidised?

It's a casting alloy with high silicon content. The silicon forms interstitial precipitates within the aluminium, these are predominantly silicon and therefore do not anodise.

Aluminum or Titanium. I use titanium cause it's stronger and the way I use it it holds my product and lasts forever.

There's no such thing as aluminium. The guy who discovered it and refined it named it "Aluminum". You wouldn't call hydrogen hydroginium.

  • @kevinkillsit
