Setting your rates as a Virtual Assistant can be one of the hardest things to do for your business. Price too high and potential clients may hire someone cheaper. Price too low and you could end up feeling overworked and undervalued.
Pricing is more than just picking a number at random. You need to make sure that the rate you pick is enough money to live on! You need to take into account that a lot of work as a freelance virtual assistant will be spent on non-billable things (aka non-client-related things) that are unpaid. You ALSO need to make sure that the rate you're setting can be supported by your target market. Sure, you might think it's fair to charge $50/hour for calendar management, but will your target clients agree? Probably not.
